CapCut has released a suite of AI tools and in this we're walking through a few of them, with a focus on applications for professionals, editors, & creators. My personal biggest use cases are ads, marketing materials, and characters, so that's what we're demo'ing.
Hope y'all find it useful and happy holidays!
What is CapCut?
If you're not familiar, CapCut is one of the most popular apps in the world (1b+ users) and an all in one video editor & graphic design tool. They've been adding AI tools as of late as the underlying models improve.

I do NOT sell any products of my own. Watch out for scams.
So AI used to look like AI. We can all tell this was made with AI, even though it looks really
realistic. But does this look like it was made with AI? Well if you haven't been paying attention,
this image is where we're at with AI image and video generation today. This isn't sci-fi,
this is the world we live in. And if you work in any field that uses content, so marketing,
advertising, sales, social media, the list goes on, then not using AI for marketing is
shooting yourself in the foot. Because they are just superior to old systems in terms of
productivity, if you use them correctly. And an emphasis on you having to use them correctly.
We want the best of humanity and AI. We want to take your vision, your ideas, your creativity,
and merge it with the productivity and the automated nature of artificial intelligence
tools. And so in this video, we're going to create an entire marketing campaign in minutes.
So that's logos, image ads, posters, video ads, a whole marketing campaign with no Photoshop,
no Illustrator, no After Effects. And we're doing that within the new AI design portal within
CapCut. If you're not familiar with CapCut, they have hundreds of millions of users,
so you probably are. But they're a video editing suite that is now also an AI design hub. And we're
going to look at the AI design features paired with Nano Banana Pro out of Google, which is the
exact model that did this and has gone viral everywhere for being so incredibly realistic.
This might be the best marketing and content creation suite and workflow out there. So I'm
going to show you exactly how it works in the step-by-step workflows that you can implement
to materially save yourself time and produce better quality work and more of it across
anything at all that involves content, whether images, whether videos, brand elements,
just ideation as a whole. That in mind, sit down, grab yourself a snack, and let's go.
Okay, so in a previous video, we looked at CapCut overall as an editing tool and suite. If you
haven't seen that, make sure to check it out. But what we're looking at here is specifically the new
AI design hub. So this is what CapCut and the dashboard looks like. You can see a lot of the
different AI tools in here already, AI fashion model, AI dialogue, AI video maker. What we're
going to start with is AI design. And so what we can do is just engage and discuss with the CapCut
agents to create the designs we're looking for. And then in further features throughout the video,
we're going to do other things with what it is that we create. And many of you work in marketing
and advertising. So we're going to create some ads to start in CapCut and then translate those ads
into those other mediums in just a minute. And what you likely have for your company,
for your product or service, are images of the product. And so let's start there. We've used the
Rage Wallet in a previous video. So let's continue rolling with that theme. And what I'll do is just
find a few basic images of these wallets. And I'll go ahead and save these images. Then I've
uploaded those images. And then here's the prompt we're going to use. And we're going to make these
square ads or posters like you would see on Facebook or the Metasuite or Google for actual
ad images that you could run. And so what I'm saying is, hey, I want you to design a set of
five Christmas ads. These are one by one square. So images you would use on Facebook or Meta or
Google advertising. And then I'm also saying, hey, use Nano Banana Pro specifically. So let's go ahead
and click send and see what it makes. So this is the little editor right here. And the agent is
going ahead and thinking about how to best fulfill our request with Nano Banana. Okay. So here are
the generated images. This is the first one right here. And you can see it actually took that core
image, turned it, made a 3D version of it, angled the 3D version of it, and then applied this gift
box, the text, everything additive on top. That's the quality of Nano Banana Pro. That's the quality
of the CapCut AI Design Suite. And we can see the other ones right here. I like this one. Very
interesting kind of mountain feel. I'm not as much a fan here. This feels a little bit plainer.
This one is cool. I like the neon. And here's our fifth design as well. This is interesting too to
me. It took the concept, it seems like, of the product and added this whole blueprint layer.
And these are genuinely exactly what you would want to test with your ads. It also looks like
it went and researched about the product. It found the aluminum construction, cast wrap. I didn't
give it any of that. It went and looked at Ridge. It researched what Ridge is or understood that
and then went and created this blueprint, which is really impressive to see. But again,
if you work in marketing or content creation, you know something else that takes a lot of time,
which is translating content, number one, and changing copy to fit a different demographic.
So let's just extend the same process here. And that's something else that I think can
immediately save you a lot of time with this kind of work. So let's say nice, regenerate all images
in English, Spanish, and Japanese. I will say keep the style. And what we always talk about
on this channel is the ideal use cases initially for AI are the ones which are the most templated
and repeatable, but also the greatest time sinks for humans. If it doesn't take you a lot of
creativity, and it takes you a lot of time, that is step number one to automate the delegate.
You can do it through AI. Awesome. And that is exactly what we're doing here. Let's check it out.
This is our English version. This is Spanish. Then we have books like Japanese. And once again,
English, Spanish, Japanese, and so on and so forth. I like this one too. This looks good to
me. It looks like I'm actually merged these different images together. I like the more
classy feel. So there you go. Right. And it goes on. That was 15 images generated at once. Now,
something else that along those same lines takes a lot of time if you work in marketing is just
slightly changing the copy or the sales text, depending on who the advertisement or the piece
of content, the poster is for. Let's go ahead and prompt it to redesign the copy of the English
images to focus on selling one specific demographic. So now this prompt along the
same lines is going to extend that concept of letting the AI do the most menial work.
So this is going to redesign the English images to focus on selling one specific
demographic. And let's go for it. Let's check this out. So this is exactly what anyone working in
advertising would go ahead and make in Photoshop. And it continues with different variations in
here. And of course, if you want any changes there, you can go ahead and ask for the changes,
or you can go ahead and design it with things like, you know, your logo in the brand kit,
text, et cetera, in the manual editor. So that's the first big kind of feature or workflow that I
want to introduce here in CapCut AI design. Next, I want to focus a little more on consistency,
because if you work in any kind of content, advertising as well, but also social media
content specifically, you deal with people and characters a lot. We want to make sure we can
maintain that kind of consistency also with Nano Banana Pro. So let's continue with the same
company. Let's say design a mascot character or the range brand and a logo and showcase that
character and the logo across different scenes and themes. And so the test here is, hey, is that
character going to look the same? Is it going to be consistent across multiple different generations?
That is what is important. So let's check it out. It looks like what it designed was a robotic
mountain goat as a mascot, which is pretty cool. We can go ahead and see the logo as well.
And then this mascot and the logo we can see in the corner right there in very different scenes.
So looks the same. I think we passed that test. And just to follow up, let's make a human and
let's see how realistic the human as the mascot can look. OK, so here's our human mascot with
our range wallet. We can see right there and the same guy looks exactly the same to me with
the wallet in different environments as well. There you go. That's the consistency test. So
we're going to move on. And as far as how you specifically can access the A.I. design suite,
if we go back to the home page of CapCut desktop, this is what it looks like. You just click on A.I.
design in the bottom left right here. And for the web version of CapCut, if that's what you use,
head to CapCut dot com forward slash A.I. dash design dash home. Let's click enter and you go
straight to that same page where you can start discussing with the A.I. agent. And the recommendation
for prompting across the board is just be as specific and detailed as possible. If you're just
exploring or scouting for ideas, then that's fine. Tell the A.I. that. But if you have a specific
image in mind, then go ahead and detail that as much as possible. And that'll get you better
results. And then you can iterate during the conversation. You can export images straight
in the little editor. But now we're going to do something pretty cool, and that's taking what we
just generated and bringing it to life with A.I. video. OK, so we're back in the desktop CapCut
version right here. And now what we're going to click on is A.I. video. And this is going to open
a project within CapCut to access the A.I. video feature. You can see on the left here under A.I.
media, we're in A.I. video. So this is under out of all these different tabs media. And then under
A.I. media, it's A.I. video. And so what this means is we can upload an image and we can turn it into
a video. And that's really useful, right, because we just created all these ads. But what if we want
video advertising, which is how most ads convert nowadays? And we can also choose the model here.
Let's go ahead and choose VO 3.1 in the spirit of Nano Banana. Now I have some of our different
ads here, and let's start with something simple. Let's go with this image. And I'll say I want you
to animate this ad by making the Ridge wallet come out of the box like a gift. So this is a way to
take the stationary, the image ad we have and turn it into something we can actually run on Facebook,
on Instagram, on TikTok, on Google. And let's click generate. OK, and here's the video. Let's
play the clip. This season, everything counts. Get 50% off now. That's pretty cool. Now, if we wanted
this to be accurate to the product, what we would do is just upload reference images of what it
looks like, because in this case, all I've had to work with is literally this image right here.
But honestly, I like the look of this. I would probably buy that more so than the underlying
wallet. And look at the quality of that animation right there. Let's go ahead and try this again.
Now, let's make the ad based on this image. OK, and for the second generation here, I wanted to
do one with an actual human in it. So we're using VO3 again and we're animating this ad image with
the man holding the wallet. Let's go ahead and see what this produces. OK, and here's what it has
made. With the Ridge wallet, you carry what you need. It's minimalist without being limiting. I
think the audio design is very impressive here as well. It has multi-layered audio that's included
by default in the prompt. Overall, consistent face, consistent human. Looks good to me.
So overall, the workflow we've looked at is transitioning from an idea, an AI design,
to some static kind of image that you can use for posters, for your website, for social media,
for advertisements, and then transitioning those static images into videos that you can also use
for social media organically or for advertisements. Now, there are plenty of other AI features built
into CapCut. Right here, there's AI dialogue and AI image. If we go back to the homepage again,
we can see AI fashion model as well, the whole suite of AI video maker tools. There's a lot here,
but that's a subject for another video. And overall, that's AI design and AI video in CapCut.
And now as far as actually using AI video and accessing this feature in the desktop version,
what you do is you go to your homepage, your dashboard, and just click on AI video. And again,
that's going to be in the left in AI media, AI image, AI video right here. So there you go.
Those are the tools. So CapCut AI design powered by Nano Banana Pro to let you create commercial
grade marketing, any kind of content period instantly, then translate that content into
any language, generate campaign level variants, bring it to life through video as opposed to
static images and do all of that in one tool with no editing experience needed. For right now,
