The main reason I'm upgrading my phone is to have more storage and improve the filming quality for my videos. Since I've been vlogging a lot, I wanted to downsize my filming equipment whenever I go outside to make videos. I found my camera to be quite inconvenient whenever I would bring it outside with me because it's just too big and bulky and it's one extra thing to have to carry around. So I decided to start filming with my iPhone and I also really love the new camera button. I think I'm going to find it really useful. So here you can see me packing my old iPhone but actually I decided to trade it in an actual Apple store. Why does this look like a pad? I was just way too anxious for my iPhone to be lost in the mail and then me not being able to get in my trade-in value. I did not want to risk it. So if you are trading in an iPhone, if you can, I think it's best to just drop off your old iPhone in an Apple store and you can get the trade-in value right then and there. Here's a quick tutorial on how I customize the apps in my home screen. First open the app shortcuts, then add a new shortcut, then select open app, then pick the app of your choice. Then hit the share button at the bottom and tap add to home screen. Now you're able to customize your app icon so just go to image and choose your photo. Add a name to your app and once you're done, hit add and that's how you do it. So there was one thing I realized as I was making my app icons, do you see that thin border around each of my icons? Well apparently it's part of the liquid glass theme effect in the new iOS which is kind of annoying. My home screen is less clean looking but I think I've learned to just live with it. I've only owned my iPhone for two weeks and so far I'm really satisfied. Obviously the sage slash matcha green color is my favorite thing about this iPhone but besides that I really love that I have 512 gigabytes of storage. Also center stage for FaceTime is really useful and I also love all the new camera features. There's the landscape option for photos and videos which I think makes a difference in how your landscape selfies turn out and there are built-in filters. I personally use neutral and bright.
