It's been nine years since I visited LA. I am heading to Los Angeles to meet with my agent Kyle from God and Beauty and to do a bunch of collaborations and interview a few awesome friends for my Travel Talk series.
I decided to upgrade on my American Airlines flight to Business Class with 25,000 miles as I hear that their A321 Business Class is really nice. Check out my review and everything I did the first day back in Hollywood!
About Me: My name is David Hoffmann and for the last decade I have been traveling around the world in search of unique culture, food and history! I focus a great deal on food and historic sites, as you probably have seen! I love to experience the different flavors that each destination has to offer, whether it’s casual Street food or gourmet restaurant dining. I’m also passionate about learning the local history and culture.
Good morning everyone. Head to LA. Let's go.
It's 9.30am. Head to the airport.
It's way too early for this. It's like 7am and I've been up most of the night.
I'm here at the Amaro's Club Lounge at the American Airlines D terminal.
I upgraded the business class because I really wanted to experience the A321 transcontinental from here to LAX.
Here's the view.
Let's go to the flight.
So I arrived in LA. I was going to do a business class review for the American Airlines A321 transcontinental.
But I didn't love the business class. It's basically premium economy.
No free wifi. No flat lay beds. Food was mediocre. Drinks were okay.
Entertainment was the best part. So we arrived. I'm getting my bag. I'm meeting with Kyle.
So I'm here with Kyle. What's up?
He is my agent. Kyle, introduce yourself.
Yo. Friends and followers of David's been here. I'm Kyle Yomsef.
I'm the owner of God & Beauty which is the management firm that David's chilling with.
Just picked him up from LAX. We're rolling through the middle of LA right now.
We're going to see some of the best spots in LA over this next week that he's here.
We're going to eat a ton of food and have a good time.
Glad to have you here, brother.
Let's do it, bro.
What's up?
Hello.
Honey & Silk, introduce yourself.
You're in my town.
We're going to Salazar. Heard a ton about it.
But it's this new Mexican restaurant.
We just heard amazing things about the food.
Alright, let's go inside.
What up?
It's amazing, right?
That's incredible.
Do it for the vlog.
Yeah, right?
Alright, we're driving down Melrose Avenue.
We're actually just passing Raleigh Studios which is an old school studio.
And then on your right, the hedge will break away and this is all Paramount's main lot.
There's another studio called Sunset Gower coming up here.
Where they have all the big bays where they build the sets for TV shows and movies inside these places.
So, this is the Lombardi House.
Right now I'm going to dinner with Kyle to Camosa, one of the best sushi restaurants in the city.
Now let me show you the Lombardi House.
So this is one of the suites of the Lombardi House.
It's a two-bedroom and two-bathroom.
You can see the living room upstairs.
Nice.
Closet's right here.
Bathroom.
Another bathroom.
And my bedroom.
I'm extremely tired but you only live once, right?
So, change of plans. We're not going to Camosa because it's closed.
Camosa!
We're going to Sushi Gen.
Next best thing.
Steph and I haven't been there in a few years.
It was a place that we went to, I think, our first year together.
And she had the uni and I tried it and that's the first time I ever had uni and I hated it.
And I will not eat it now.
So how does it work? You just order?
Okay, put it all apart, I guess.
It's a massive list.
Yeah.
Oh yeah, thank you.
So we got some fatty tuna. I don't know what all this is.
We got salmon.
That's yellowtail.
That's fatty tuna.
This looks incredible.
Okay.
Camosa, it's like double, triple the size.
Oh man.
For probably the same price.
This is so fresh.
The whole trip.
The past four hours.
Oh man.
Tell me all your feelings right now.
Orgasm.
That's amazing.
I'll get another one of those.
