After 10 years of producing travel videos, I finally made my first Vlog. I headed with my entire family to the island of Sanibel on the west coast of Florida to celebrate my mom's 60th birthday.
I wanted to create a more relaxed and personal kind of travel video to get to document a fun family vacation. I will still continue to create my regular web series, but will do my best to keep vlogging the behind-the-scenes journey. This is the first of three vlogs from the trip.
What did you think of my first vlog? Leave me a comment below!

Hey everyone, so we're going to Sanibel, my daughter here.
We're leaving for the weekend, my entire family.
Hey everyone, so I'm going to start trying to vlog.
Me and my family are headed to Sanibel Island this weekend on the western coast of Florida.
It's about a three hour drive from Miami.
We have to cross two hours through the Everglades to Naples, then an hour up.
We're going for my mom's 60th birthday. It's next week, so my entire family is going.
My parents, my brother, my sister, and their families, and obviously my wife and my daughter.
Alright, let's go to Sanibel.
Minnie, what's up?
Are you ready for Sanibel?
Is there jellyfish in Sanibel?
There's jellyfish everywhere.
You know, I realized this yesterday that this is not going to be a vacation for me.
What?
We're leaving for Sanibel.
Manu, you ready for Sanibel?
I am.
We're crossing south Florida on Alligator Alley.
This is about 100 miles from Miami to Naples.
And there we're going to do a quick pit stop and have some lunch.
So we made it here in Naples to the Pelican Bar.
So this place is famous for their oysters and their chicken wings.
And that's why we came here.
Just like this?
Then I'll try the sauce.
You want the sauce?
No, I'll try it after I try the beer.
You gotta slurp it, dude. Slurp it.
What do you think of the beer? The Dirty Duck?
This is one of the best ones in Naples. Dirty Duck.
It's a good IPA.
The Barney addict.
You eat it, you eat it.
No, you eat it.
It's fine, you eat it.
What do you think, dad?
I think it's good.
A little frittanga, but good.
Frittanga, and you?
Everything's fried.
Do you like the oysters?
I like them.
Do you like the big oysters?
I like the oysters.
I like them too, even the big ones.
The oysters are good.
The blue ones.
How you doing, how you doing?
Nice.
Our room's actually right on the water, so we're gonna go on the beach.
We have like three hours left.
Let's go.
This is our room.
My parents' room.
No, don't jump on the beds.
Melina, that's dangerous.
I know, let's go.
Push it that way, push it that way.
Danny!
What's that?
That thing?
Yeah.
Are you recording me?
Yeah.
Hi, world.
Oh my god, okay.
That's too close.
Look, you can see yourself here.
That's how people do it.
Beach time!
So, this is Sanibel.
As you can see, Sanibel Beach is pretty nice.
We have a crazy storm coming over there.
And one of the cool things about Sanibel is like in the late afternoon, after the sun sets,
you have all these shells appearing.
You can see the shells everywhere.
Uh oh.
You heard that?
I'm not going back in.
What are you doing, Lucas?
Come on, Luke!
You're going in the water with that?
Hey, hey!
Are you coming in?
Huh?
Are you coming in?
Wait, you're in the water?
Yeah, yeah, I'm going in the water.
I didn't know about that.
What's your name?
You guys still love Mamma Mia?
I've seen some.
What is the song, Lucas?
Take a chance on me.
They love Mamma Mia.
Right?
This is Cristiano Ronaldo and this is Messi.
No, he's wrong.
Okay, so who are you?
Ronaldo, me.
Benzema.
Benzema, sorry.
No, you have to move the king away from this.
So what do you do?
No, no.
No, the king cannot jump.
The king only move one spot.
Cheers, guys, cheers.
Last morning for Sanibel Island.
So, that was the first day vlogging.
Sorry, guys, I'm so tired right now.
Woke up this morning like at 4 a.m.
