On behalf of the Alan Alford Sports Talk Show, I tremendously appreciate you all!
Now we got to go take this act on the road, see if we can get her done.
Yes, in fact, that was part of my thing that I was looking at.
Is it more difficult as a coach preparing a team where you know, as you mentioned that
in the locker room, that everybody's going to bring their best shot and you are the
target and the bullseye? Is it much more difficult to coach underneath those circumstances?
Well, I mentioned that in the postgame of last week, but I think, listen, we know that the
aviators will be ready to play. They're going to be in front of their home crowd.
They're going to be excited to have the chance to get their first win.
That is a given. And we respect the game and we respect the opponent enough to realize that.
What we have to do is be mindful that we've been asked to play a third game in 10 days,
maybe 11, right? As we sit and it was like eight days ago, we were playing the battle Hawks.
And now this is we're being asked to leave for Columbus tomorrow. So this is uncommon
ask of professional football players. And yet, if we want to do uncommon things,
we got to be up to it. And so that's where we're at. We're focused on ourselves,
making sure the details are our focus so that we can play our best game of 2026 and hopefully get
that fourth win. Yes. And finally, with Austin Reed, I know he was your pick and he's been
playing stellar. What about his game that has impressed you the most seeing him after three
games? You know, so much has gone really well. It's easy to focus on that, but I'm focused on
the things that still are left to be done, focused on the things that where he doesn't
get off script because he thinks that this is a really good idea when there was something
presented to him that was much easier to complete. He has a swashbuckler personality.
He thinks there's no challenge too big, but sometimes it's just more prudent to take what
is given to you and move along. And there'll be a moment for your swashbuckling tendency to
rise to the occasion. But especially as we're trying to play complementary football,
staying on the field and letting our defense rest is important. So there are third down plays that
he just has to make. He is off to a terrific start. And but I'm telling you, there's more in the tank.
Appreciate you. Thank you. You got it.
