Sturgis Best Rides / Spearfish Canyon

Welcome to today's video Stubborn Nation. All you stubborn folks out there all across the world wide web. Today we are bringing you a very iconic ride when it comes to Sturgis and the Rally. Absolutely one that everybody should experience if you're in this area. And the ride is? None other than Spearfish Canyon. That's good. That was good. That was a good transition. Yeah I know what you were going for. You were going for like a little riding montage? Yeah that's what I was going for. Bring the riding montage. I think that fit perfectly baby. Good call on the montage. Let's show them before this rain comes in. Let's show them exactly where we rode. Spearfish Canyon is right about 20 miles of scenic byway. It comes out of Spearfish, South Dakota. You can get on it at exit 14 off of 90. Then you're going to follow it all through these beautiful canyons. Through a little town called Savoy. All the way and where we're at right now in Cheyenne Crossing. Like she said we're in Cheyenne Crossing. That's right here where uh 14a and 85. And as you can see it's a popular run for the motorcycle. The first section which is the most twisty section here. You're going to notice you go through a lot of beautiful little canyons. It's just steep cliff rocks on both side of you. And if you're headed south down the skyway there is a creek running to your left. And it's just beautiful smooth roads. Switchback corners one after another. And just nothing but gorgeous views up these straight canyon walls. Yeah it's absolutely gorgeous. The stream that runs down at the bottom of it. The creek. Oh it's so pretty. That probably is my favorite part of it next to those canyons. We've got a waterfall. Love waterfalls. Like a hike. It's beautiful though. Look how crystal clear that water is. I bet it's super cold. This my friends is one of the must stops uh when you're riding Spearfish Canyon. They've got good ice cream vendors. If you want to take a side-by-side for a ride up those mountains you can. Through the canyons I guess we should call them. Yeah it's pretty cool. It's a lot of vendors set up out here as well. So it's a little slow right now but we thought we'd show it to you nonetheless. Once you cross over that Savoy area what you're going to see is a little bit different. You start getting more into pine forests. A little more thick heavy wooded area. Very unique. And not just cabins. You're talking some pretty beautiful big homes out there too. Super massive. Unbelievable. But that creek switches sides and starts running on the the right hand side. Uh it's just an absolute gorgeous ride. Beginning and the end. Yeah absolutely. The whole thing is beautiful. Must do. So if you could only if you had to pick one the top end through the canyons or the bottom end through the homes and forests. It would be the top end. Through the canyons and the creek. I agree. I absolutely agree. Y'all take a quick montage of some more of the beautiful shots we got uh coming down this road. It is an iconic motorcycle road. If you're in the South Dakota area Spearfish Canyon is definitely a top five ride. So go check it out. And it's raining which is why things were dead earlier in the video.
