Sam Trammell on Finding Love With Emmanuelle Chriqui, Years After HBO Days (Exclusive)

I understand tonight is a date night. I saw you and Emmanuel taking some beautiful photos over there. I mean, you light up when you hear her name. What is it about her? She's the best. She's the best in every way. She has such a beautiful spirit. She's such a gorgeous person. And, you know, I'm so happy to be with her. Listen, so many people consider Sloan slash Emmanuel to be the dream girl. You got the dream girl. I don't know how it happened. Somehow, Sam are a lot, you know, True Blood. I love it. Yeah, yeah, we go back. We're like back in the day HBO guys. Did your HBO paths cross at the time? Entourage and True Blood? No. Funny enough, I think we were at a lot of the same events, but we never met. You know, of course, I saw her show and I thought she was incredible, but I never got to meet her. But we met at the right time. Life is like that, right? Everything happens at the right moment. That's right. In the beginning, we had to make a choice about who we were and what we wanted. The network loved your storyline. Really? But what we didn't realize was how far we were willing to go. This is a huge moment. You've shut down Hollywood Boulevard. Euphoria season three. How does tonight feel? It's crazy. I'm just realizing they shut the—they shut the— Correct. There's a helicopter above us. I mean, it's insane. It's like the Oscars or something. Yeah, it's kind of crazy. Euphoria is like the Oscars, especially to a certain audience who is so passionate about this show. You're joining this season. Tell us a little bit about who you play. I mean, I don't know how at liberty I am to talk, but I play a guy, a plastic surgeon, and you'll get to see it. It's really interesting, beautiful. This show is so beautifully shot. They're using 65-millimeter film. They're using film stock to shoot this. And working with Sam Levinson was really incredible. It was like he's a really, in the best way, challenging. Challenging for an actor. He challenges you in a great way. After all these years. Does your wife know you do this? Do your parents know what you do? I'm your sugar daddy now. Have we finally gone too far? You're echoing what I've heard Zendaya say time after time about how this show pushes actors to be at their absolute best. Oh, 100%. I'm curious, who do you share the most scenes with this season? With Hunter Schaefer. Wow. What was it like going toe-to-toe? Oh, she's incredible. I mean, she's such a natural. And she knows her character. You know, I'm coming in, I'm new. So it was really exciting. And like I said, it was rigorous in the best way, like figuring out who I was with Sam, you know, in front of the camera. Very exciting for an actor. And like I said, he and Marcel, Marcel the DP, the shots that they set up are so unbelievably gorgeous, gorgeously lit, and they're shooting on this, like it's IMAX film that they're shooting on. Yeah. The 65mm. It deserves to be seen in an IMAX setting, right? Yeah, and on a big screen. So we're so excited to see it tonight. It's going to be amazing.
