Alright girls, we're going back out to help Greg with his camper for a little bit today, before it starts raining.
It's supposed to rain later today. So, let's see if that actually happens.
Four o'clock, it's supposed to rain. We got to be back before the rain.
Oh!
We might get trapped.
We might get trapped in the rain.
Alright, so you girls have fun hanging out here and we'll be back in just a couple hours. Sound good? No? Too bad.
We'll be back, I promised.
Well, the camper got more emptied than it was yesterday.
It's pretty much gutted, gutted now.
This is where the water damage happened. You can see it's a little bit soft here.
Soft here.
But other than that, this is solid. This is really all the water damage there is. So, not too bad.
Looking good. Greg's been working like crazy.
Yeah, not too bad. A bunch of the crap that came out of it.
And now, the kitty is eating. I had somebody ask if this kitty was too young.
I don't know how old it is. The lady said that they were eight weeks.
The lady that Greg got it from, said they were eight weeks old and this was the last one.
So, all of its litter mates were gone and it was all by itself.
So, I don't know. She claims it was eight weeks old.
She had to get rid of them or they were gonna go to the shelter.
So, Greg got a kitty.
Camping kitty. You're camping out here with Greg, huh?
Camping kitty.
We're watching the clouds change.
We know the rain is coming.
Doesn't look like it right now though, does it? Kind of just looks like funky clouds.
Greg's in there painting the floor, the kills in the floor in his camper.
Jamie and I are out here watching the weather change.
Hiding in the shade. You are. I'm kind of starting to be in the sun already.
Yeah, I think so. I was by the kitty.
Hi kitty. What are you doing?
Playing in a box.
I guess this is more proof that we don't live in a big city and we really are country folk, huh?
You kind of look around and you go...
Look it. This is how you get water at this house, you guys. For real. There's no running water in this house.
This is how you get water in this house. That pump right there.
You pump the water and water comes out of the well in the ground. That's where the water comes from.
There's no plumbing. There's no nothing. It comes out right here.
Oh, if I can get it to work.
There it is. There's your water. Drinkable water. It's well water. Fill the bucket. There's a toilet in the house.
I think you guys saw it in yesterday's video.
There's a toilet in the house. Just gotta fill up that bucket and pour it in the toilet to make it work.
Yeah, we don't live in the city. Can you tell? We don't live in a big city.
We live in the schticks. I mean Jamie and I's house is in town, but even that's not a very big town.
All right, so the boys are bringing a bunch of the stuff that was out there inside because...
There's a storm coming. We live here and this is what's coming across.
So...
Yep, I think it's time to get some stuff moved inside.
All right, we're leaving Greg to work on his camper. We're gonna head back home before the...
storm hits. Since we don't have a top.
We don't want to get too wet, right?
We got Greg some paint.
We got Greg some paint and he's gonna work for a little bit and then he'll probably head back into town too.
We're going to the park to watch the storm come in, even though it's not really...
Kind of might be coming in. Let's see if it actually happens.
When Jamie and I were in high school, we used to go to Taco Bell and get lunch and then we would come sit here...
at the beach and watch the water. So we thought it would be fun to do that again today.
We don't eat fast food often, but Taco Bell sounded good.
We're gonna come stare at the water and see if we can watch the storm roll in for a little bit.
So in just a little amount of time that we sat here eating...
We watched the wind pick up. You can see it in this tree really well. Look at that tree through the camera.
And then, I don't know if I can zoom way out there, but the lake got quite choppy too.
Not as choppy as it could be.
There's some clouds rolling in. Whoa, I'm zooming way into them.
I don't know if we'll get a storm or not. We'll see.
There's a possibility.
Either way, it looks cool. It feels good.
Nothing like living by the lake.
So apparently...
We hit a porcupine.
We're pretty sure it was probably one that was already dead on the road because we didn't hit a living porcupine, but...
it's hard to see here, but...
The quills went right into the tire of Jamie's Jeep.
That's kind of crazy.
Hmm, hopefully they don't puncture his tire.
There's a couple of them that I pulled out. That's pretty crazy.
Didn't know they'd actually go in your tire.
It's windy!
We just got home a little bit ago and...
Some friends of mine and the news actually just posted that a tornado has touched down over in Mount Marencie County over near Atlanta.
Which is probably about, I don't know, half an hour from here. Not too far.
So we're kind of watching the skies again.
So, I think it's coming right for us. It's coming right for us. We are right here and...
We just heard thunder and the sirens just went off. So this time we might actually get a pretty nasty storm.
We'll see.
Looks like Asia.
So far we have only rain and nothing else. I think this storm might be missing us too.
Well, it's already back on, but we just had a big power surge. Made all kinds of noise.
Lost power for a few seconds and it all came back on. So maybe we are getting a storm. The dogs are unaffected.
As usual, it looks worse north of us than it does at our house.
It's kind of clear here. It's windy.
A little bit windy.
Well, we didn't go out and check it out, but apparently that's a power pole that was like snapped in half.
Not too far from here, ten miles out of town.
And that's a fifth wheel camper that got tipped over and a tree down next to it.
And there's another road with a bunch of downed trees.
So apparently there was some damage not too far from us, but the storm never really hit us.
So yeah, basically we got lucky. No storm here.
But I think we're getting ready to go to bed. So goodbye!
You told them what you bought yet, Greg?
No, Greg bought a camper. An ancient camper. What year is this camper?
Oh yeah, it actually, it was a camper that they converted into a food camper.
So he's converting it back to a camper.
Huh? I'm going in it.
It's not gonna fall down on me, is it?
