best friend Jesus. Today's special feature comes to us from right here in the United States
where my friend Olivia has prepared a beautiful song just for us. Let's listen in.
Dear Lord, oh dear Lord, oh dear Lord, oh dear Lord, oh dear Lord, oh dear Lord,
way beyond the blue. I've got a home in glory land that outshines the sun.
I've got a home in glory land that outshines the sun. I've got a home in glory land that outshines
the sun way beyond the blue. Dear Lord, oh dear Lord, oh dear Lord, oh dear Lord, oh dear Lord,
oh dear Lord, remember me way beyond the blue. Thanks Olivia that was amazing. Boys and girls
remember if you want to share your gifts or talents for Jesus please ask your parents or
guardians to inbox me and I'd be happy to share it with our friends.
You know that sound it's nature time and I can't wait. It's always such an extra special treat
when our friend Ryan from Canada stops in. You never know who or what you're gonna meet so come
along with me. Hello boys and girls and welcome again to nature time at Graceville. Today we're
going to be talking about calves. Let's tune in. Calves or baby cows can weigh from 60 to 100
pounds at birth. They begin to stand and walk within just one hour. Calves are playful and
very friendly. In fact, they have feelings just like us. For example, happiness, affection, fear,
and even anxiety. They even move when they want to communicate with each other. There are many
interesting facts about calves but perhaps the most interesting are how they see, hear, and smell.
Calves have 300 degree vision. This is called panoramic vision. This means they can see around
their bodies except the area directly behind them. It is dangerous to stand behind a calf
because you may be kicked. Calves also hear sounds at high or low frequencies that we humans cannot
detect and lastly they can smell up to six miles away. That means they can smell their predators
and have enough time to escape. God gave the calves these amazing senses to help protect them
from danger. He has also given us senses to protect us too. Luke chapter 11 verse 28 says
But Jesus said, those who hear the teaching of God and obey it, they are the ones who are truly
blessed. When we hear God's words, let's listen and obey. He will bless us. Bye boys and girls.
Let's swing in. See you next time. And we're back just in time to check in on Melissa. Let's go!
Hey Pastor Nastasia, why are you wearing that cape? Oh, I just love pretending to be a superhero.
Really? I didn't know that. I just wish I had superpowers like Spidey or Supergirl.
LOL Pastor Nastasia, even I know that's just make-believe. But we're all super in God's eyes
and once we're connected to Him, we will have the greatest power of all at work in us.
Wait a minute, that reminds me of our theme for this week which simply says,
Let me hear my friend JJ say it. And our memory verse is found in Psalm 34 verse 4 and it simply
says, Let me hear my friend say it. The scripture verse for today is taken from
Psalms 34 and verse 4. I sought the Lord and He heard me and He delivered me. Great job everyone!
Wait, so I don't have to live this way to connect to God's power? Of course not! God's
saving powers is available to us whenever we pray to Him with all our hearts. Oh yeah,
that's exactly what the woman in our story did. After three days of praying and fasting,
she was able to overcome her fears and plead for the lives of her people to be saved.
Can you guess what today's story is about? Hmm, a woman who fasted three days with her people.
Oh I know, it's the Queen of Persia. Today's story is about Esther.
That's right my friends, today's story is about Esther!
Finally, things seemed to be falling in place after Esther became Queen of Persia.
She lived in a big beautiful palace and had lots of fancy things. Yep, things finally started
looking up until one day she saw Mordecai dressed in sackcloth. Something had to be wrong.
She was horrified to learn of the wicked Haman's plans to destroy all the Jews. Naturally,
Esther was afraid. After all, the Queen had no real power in Persia. But instead of letting her
fears get the best of her, she along with all the Jews fasted and prayed for three days for God to
give her strength. Empowered by God to face the king, Esther pleaded for her people. God touched
the king's heart to intervene to protect the Jews. All the Jews were saved. Wowzers, Esther wasn't a
powerful queen, but she relied on her power for God for strength and deliverance. Absolutely,
we're all God's little heroes. So may we like Esther trust in God to give us the courage and
strength to stand in his power alone.
