Hi boys and girls and welcome back to Graceville where God's love is everywhere. It's me,
Pastor Anastasia and I'm so super duper excited that you join me today as we learn more about our
best friend Jesus. Today's special feature comes to us all the way from Brazil
where my friend Lais has prepared a beautiful song just for us. Let's listen in.
It's impossible to say everything it means to me to be a child to bring us all the stars and
embrace in every heart so I truly and it means everything to me never leave. Thanks Lais that
was amazing. Boys and girls remember if you want to share your gifts and talents for Jesus please
ask your parents or guardians to inbox me and I'd be happy to share it with our friends.
You know that sound it's my favorite because it reminds me that it's nature time here at
Graceville and here to teach us more about God's wonderful creation is our friend Ryan from Canada.
So you know how it is we're always at the edge of our seat because we never know
who or what we'll be learning about today. If you want to find out more you'll just have to
come along with me. Hello boys and girls and welcome again to nature time at Graceville.
Today we're going to be talking about razorfish. Let's tune in. It is very easy to spot razorfish
because they have thin flat bodies and pointy mouths. They are called razorfish because they
look like the blades of knives. These interesting fish swim upside down which helps them find food.
Their backs are pale yellowish brown and their bellies are white with a dark colored stripe
from their snout to their dorsal fins. They can grow to about 14 to 15 centimeters long.
Razorfish have no teeth and so they swallow their food whole. They eat many types of zooplankton
and small crustaceans like eggs larva and seed shrimp. Thanks to their flat bodies razorfish
look like a thin rod or stick. This helps them blend into their surroundings and hide from
predators. Swimming upside down also helps them hide among sea urchin spines and corals.
They can also hide by blending in with pointy leaves. When they are being chased in open water
they quickly swim away with amazing speed like regular fish. The razorfish reminds me of Hebrews
chapter 4 verse 12a. It says God's word is alive and working. It is sharper than a sword sharpened
on both sides. The word of God teaches us what is right from wrong. Hi boys and girls thanks for
tuning in see you next time. That was so cool and we made it back right on time to check it on Melissa.
I wonder how her week went. Guess where I'm going it's so exciting. My cousin's wedding.
I know she'll be the most beautiful bride ever. That's awesome. Yeah but my mom said that we must
go early to help her prepare. I can't imagine what she needs our help with. Weddings are joyful
celebrations but they also come with a whole lot of preparation so there's always something to do.
God loves it when we, like your mom wants to, help others to celebrate happy occasions.
Wait a minute that reminds me of our theme for this week which simply says help others celebrate.
Let me hear my friend say say it. Help others celebrate. And our memory verse is found in Isaiah
52 verse 9 and it simply says burst into songs together. Let me hear my friend say it.
Burst into songs of joy together Isaiah 52 9. Great job everyone.
Wait God wants us to celebrate and have fun? I thought that all he wanted us to do is read
our bibles and go to church. Of course he does. God wants us to enjoy spending time with him
and each other. In fact today's story is actually about a miracle that took place at a wedding
in Cana. At this wedding a woman asked her son to help her make it extra special for
the bride and groom. Can you guess who today's story is about? A wedding in Cana. I love weddings.
Me too but who went to a wedding in today's story? Oh yeah let me check my bible.
I found it. Let me see. It's Jesus and Mary. That's right Joshua and Abiathar today's story
is about Jesus and Mary. One day Jesus his mother Mary and the disciples went to a wedding in Cana.
The celebrations were going well until the wine ran out. Learning of the dilemma Mary quickly
informed Jesus asking him for help. Even though he was reluctant at first Mary told the servants
to follow whatever Jesus instructed. Immediately they filled the empty jars with water as Jesus
said. To their amazement the water miraculously turned into the best tasting wine ever. The
wedding celebration was saved. The guests continued having fun all because of Jesus' intervention.
Wowzers. Jesus takes a wedding? That's amazing. I can't wait to help with my cousin's wedding.
Sounds like a great plan. Remember God loves it when we help others celebrate.
