Hey boys and girls and welcome back to Graceville where God's love is everywhere.
It's me, Pastor Anastasia and I'm so super duper excited that you've joined me today as we learn
more about our best friend Jesus. Today's special feature comes to us from right here in the United
States where my friends Zoe and Yam have prepared a beautiful musical instrumental just for us.
Let's listen in.
That was awesome!
Boys and girls remember if you want to share your gifts and talents for Jesus
please ask your parents or guardians to inbox me and I'd be happy to share it with our friends.
It's nature time again. Yay! It's nature time and I just love it when our friend Ryan from Canada
drops in. You never know who or what we'll be learning about so come along with me.
Hi boys and girls it's Ryan from Natureman at Graceville and today we have something really
cool to show you guys. It's a dragonfly. Dragonflies are insects. There are about 5,000 known species
and they prefer to live near fields and forests. During the larva stage they spend about two years
in water. When it's time they crawl out of their watery home and their long abdomen unfolds like a
telescope. They look just like helicopters. In fact this is how they catch their prey in mid-air with
their legs. Interestingly most of their head is an eye so they can see pretty well. They also like
eat midges, butterflies, moths, bees, flies, and even other dragonflies. So you see even though the
dragonfly is really small it can still be very useful. It doesn't matter how small we are,
we too can make a big difference. With faith as tiny as a mustard seed we can do a lot of good.
So ask Jesus how you can make someone smile today. Wow that was so cool. Hey it's just about that time
again for us to check in on Nico. I wonder what he's up to today. Let's go. Hey Pastor Eustacia.
I can't believe it's just one more week until our mission trip. I'll bet you're really excited.
I am but also a little worried. What if we get lost or what if the boat drifts away? Oh Nico,
choosing the life of a missionary certainly won't be easy. But you don't have to worry or fret
because when you're in trouble Jesus rescues. Wait a minute, that reminds me of our theme for this
week which simply says Jesus always rescues. Let me hear my friends Coral and Gabriel say it.
When you are in trouble Jesus rescues. And our memory verse is found in Psalm 34 19. And it
simply says the Lord comes to the rescue each time. Let me hear my little friend Soraya in Bermuda
say it. Psalms 34 verse 19. The Lord delivers him out of them. Great job everyone.
Wow that sounds good but can you rescue me from a shipwreck? Of course Jesus can save you from a
shipwreck. Remember Jesus always rescues. That's why today's story is about the miraculous way
Jesus rescued a missionary who was shipwrecked on the island of Malta. Can you guess what today's
story is about? Shipwreck? Malta? Where is that? Who would that missionary be? Oh yeah I know. That's right
Melissa. Today's story is about Paul.
After being tossed to and fro on the waters of an angry sea for days, Paul and the rest of the crew
braced themselves for a big crash. There was a lot as the boat cruised to the beach. Some of the
sailors thought that it was the end. But praise God, Jesus rescued everyone. Even those who
couldn't swim made it safely to the island of Malta. Just when it seemed as if their luck was
finally changing, Paul had a terrible accident. While he was out gathering sticks to make a fire,
a deadly snake bit him. Everyone gathered around thinking Paul was going to die. But to their
surprise he just shook the snake off and kept going. Wow! they exclaimed. Jesus definitely is a rescuer.
Whoa! A shipwreck? A snake bite? If God can save Paul from both of those things,
what am I all worried about? Now you get it. There's no problem to beg for Jesus.
No matter what trouble you face, remember Jesus always rescues.
