Hi boys and girls and welcome back to Graceville where God's love is everywhere. It's me
Pastor Anastasia and I'm so super duper excited that you'll join me today as we learn more about
our best friend Jesus. Today's special feature comes to us from right here in the United States
where my friend Shane has prepared a beautiful song just for us. Let's listen in.
Thanks Shane that was a perfect reminder. Boys and girls remember if you want to share your
gifts or talents with us please ask your parents or guardians to inbox me and I'd be happy to share
it with our friends. I just love learning more about God's wonderful creation and here to teach
us more is our friend Ryan from Canada but I heard he's teaming up with a new friend today.
Let's see who or what we'll be learning about. Hello boys and girls and welcome again to nature
time at Graceville. Today my friend Amir from Turkstown Caicos is going to show us a little
arachnid I'm not sure we're all very fond of. Let's tune in. Hi everyone I am Amir Sinclair
and welcome back to nature time. Today I want us to look at the rose haired tarantula.
We are at the Philadelphia Insectarium here in the USA. Here are some amazing facts about this
animal. First of all it is one of the most friendly arachnids. Second females can live
up to 30 years. Males can live up to seven years. They eat live insects. They are venomous but not
deadly. To learn more about these amazing creatures you can stop by this awesome insectarium
and get your questions answered. Isn't God awesome? God takes care of us just as he takes
care of these lovely animals. Bye see you next time. Wow Amir thanks for teaching us more about
our little friends and if you guys have something to share with us tell your parents or guardians
to contact Pastor Anastasia. Bye boys and girls thanks for tuning in see you next time.
There you are right on time. I wonder what Nico's up to today. Let's go. Hey Pastor Anastasia. What's
all that stuff? What are you doing? Well me and my sister just got our school supplies and everything
got mixed up so I'm just making sure that we can tell the difference between mine and hers.
So um how do you plan to do that? I'm putting my name on everything that's mine. That's a great
idea Nico. That will help to avoid any confusion at school too. Did you know that God does the
same thing with us? He wants everyone to know that we are his chosen children.
That reminds me of our theme for this week which simply says we belong to God. Let me hear my
friend Bella say it. We belong to God. And our memory verse is found in first Corinthians 3
verse 23 and it simply says you belong to God. Let me hear my little friend from Papua New Guinea
say it. First Corinthians 3 verse 23 and you are Christ and Christ is God but. Great job everyone.
Pastor Anastasia you're right it makes me feel so special. Me too. By living our lives guided by
God's will shows that we are his and they're special blessings for all those who choose God's
way. That's why today's story is about the time that God protected his chosen people from 10
gruesome plagues. Can you tell me what that event was called? Who can forget the way God led his
people? Oh you're talking about the Passover story. That's right my little friend we're talking about
the first Passover. After many years of being enslaved finally the time had come for the
Israelites to be freed and God chose Moses to lead his people to freedom. There was just one problem.
Pharaoh was not willing to let them go. So God sent 10 terrible plagues to help Pharaoh realize
that he should obey God's servant Moses. But stubbornly the wicked Pharaoh refused. Each plague
got worse and worse from the Nile River turning to blood, an invasion of frogs, lice, gnats, animals
dying, painful sores, hail falling from the sky, locusts and three days without sunlight. But the final
plague was the most awful of all. The death of the first born child. The Egyptians quickly realized
that none of these plagues affected God's people. When the final plague came God instructed them to
put the blood of a lamb on their doorposts as a sign that they were his and he would protect them.
The Israelites had no need to fear any of the plagues because they belonged to God. Wow
but Pastor Eustacia how do we show that we're God's own if we don't have any blood on our doorposts?
Well the good news is we're already protected by the Lamb of God Jesus. By shedding his blood
on the cross he provides all the protection we'll ever need because we belong to God.
