Putting on the Base Coat! 10/13/11

Look! Day two! All the cabinets are... washed and laid out. Getting ready for paint. And all that's... cleaned on the outside. I haven't done the inside yet. But I'm not painting the inside, so I can always wash the insides later. Trying to get the outside done. I'm in my... painting clothes. I need to add more color to my pants! Yay! And uh... There's the drawers. So now, you're gonna get to see... partial color... of what I'm gonna paint the cabinets. What you're gonna have to realize is... They're not gonna actually be only this color. This is just the base color... that I'm putting on. And hopefully, even though it's nine o'clock... I'm gonna get it all done tonight. I'm gonna try to anyway, so... We'll see. It's black. Yep! It's pre-black. I didn't think this through. I think I'm gonna pour some in there. And I think what I'm gonna do... I shouldn't paint this first. I should paint the roller first. You shouldn't roller it. Are you doing it all black? Yeah, but you have to get... Yeah, that's true. Oh, you're making it look dirty. No, I think it looked dirty before. Yeah, just leave it brush stroked. In the corner like that. Ow! It's done. Look! Black cabinet doors. Some of this has been painted. Jamie's working up there. For now, all this red is gonna stay red. We think it's gonna look pretty good. I haven't told them what the top coat color is gonna be yet. The base coat is black. Yeah, I told them that. I told them the base coat was gonna be black. That looks really cool. Oh, I have paint on my fingers. Look, I got black paint on my painting pants. Right there. I officially have black paint on my paint... Hey, we forgot the drawers. I can work on those. Okay, I'm gonna work on the drawers. First coat is done. Yay! Now, we're gonna go watch South Park. Then, maybe come do the second coat. Yippee! Alright! Now, I'm exhausted. Second coat is done. Drawers. Cabinets. All of this. Second coat is done. Hopefully, I'll do the next coat tomorrow. The top coat. Remember, this is the base coat.
