We Built The FASTEST Bow EVER (Almost Dangerous)

Today we're going to build the fastest bow ever filmed in a YouTube video. I'm sure someone in
their basement has built a faster bow, but we are going to build the fastest bow ever. Disclaimer,
don't do this at home. We are trained professionals, not. But how we're going to
do it, I don't have one of these, so I was like, yo, Lancaster, let's do a Lancaster unboxing on
a chronograph because I've been wanting to build this just like megalotron bow.
And especially Joe Rogan just got a 95 pound bow matched up with a super heavy arrow,
so it equates out to just being over 300 feet per second, which is nothing super crazy. But
with a super crazy bow like that with a super crazy semi not good arrow light wise, you can
get some crazy wicked speeds out of it. So we're going to do that, but it is a disclaimer, do not
do this at home. So first things first, we have a Lancaster unboxing. We're going to go first.
This is a chronograph. I am not 100% sure what type it is, and I've never owned a chronograph,
so I'm excited because I've always just kind of guessed my bow speeds according to
sight tapes and whatever, which is fairly accurate. But here we go. We have the pro
chronograph. I don't know why you have to say pro chrono in the chronograph, but
velocity measurements for rifles, pistol, arrow, shotguns, pellet guns, and paintball guns.
Interesting. So it's not just an R2 product, I guess. It is an all-around ballistic chronograph.
I wonder if it does like baseball. It probably does. All right. Actually, it looks pretty dang
simple. We got this piece, this piece, that piece, four rods. That's it. Oh.
Dude, why do we always need one of these batteries? Where did we put that? The square battery?
Nine volt. Yeah. Where did we put that? I borrowed one from you the other day. Yeah,
I don't know what you need it for. Oh, what was that? We just bought that.
Scale? Bow scale. That bow? No, no, no, no. It was before that. This is a watch battery.
All right. Found the battery. I had to go steal it out of something. So now that we have the
battery, lick it. You got to lick it. You're not going to lick it, right? Doesn't it shock you if
you lick it? I don't know. I'm not doing it. All right. So we're going to put this in. Nothing
happened. Oh. It's an on-off switch. All right. It works. Let's put this all back together and
boom. There we go. There's literally, this is it. I thought this was going to be a little
bit more extensive of an unboxing, but it's mainly going to be the usage of it.
So I'm assuming, I don't read directions because I'm a man, assuming stick all these in.
And there is a, these are the same. I've seen these before, so I know that you at least
stick them on here. Put these on like this. I think what happens is like a light beam
shoots up back and forth super fast. And then it picks up the speed somehow.
Something to do with physics and chemistry. I didn't do super hot in those classes in high
school. All righty. If we can get this thing together correctly, boom, boom, boom. There we
go. There is our pro chrono LTE chronograph. All right. That should be money. Now delete shot,
delete string, redisplay, string change. What happens if we just like,
that did not. I was hoping it would just test it out real quick. So it's pretty simple. There's
redisplay, string change, review, delete string, delete shot. This is a hinge by the way. Check
it harder on if it works. Nothing. All right. Let's shoot an arrow and test. We have an arrow.
This is a TRX 34 we just put together. We're going to see if it works just with this first.
Nice dude. 292 out of this thing. What did I say? It was right around 300.
Yeah. You don't need a chronograph. That's the thing though I've been guessing so long.
Let's try that again. 292. So the thing does work. And this is stock. This is 7172 pounds.
We'll weigh the arrow too. 292 again. It said error for a second though.
Do you have to press it every time? Update. We took the thingy off thingies off of it
and position the light onto it. The instructions are very thorough that
lighting is a major thing and they actually don't need those things on top of it.
What the heck? Let's try it again. Wonder if it doesn't like the white ceiling so close or
nothing. I'm just going to try. I'm just going to spin this around. Maybe it was like too,
too much. Okay. We can work with that. Let's do it again. Let's do it a couple of times.
What the heck? Well, everyone, it is a couple of days afterwards and we figured it out. So
like we were saying, the sun and sunlight lighting conditions are so important for this thing
that we actually had to put it. Wow. That is bright. We actually had to put it
outside. So we have it shooting from outside to inside and it just has like direct sunlight.
And I really don't understand why it wouldn't be an issue. The only thing is like,
what it did say is certain light bulbs because of the pulsating. It doesn't like it. So I don't
know if the lights that we have, I don't know, but it's working outside now. So anyways,
we're continuing on. So I'm going to do what I wanted to do, which is kind of like shoot
through all my bows and check the speed of them. And then we're going to build the Megalodon of
bows and see what we get the speed out of it. I'll shoot it again just to show you guys,
but this is the TRX 34 we built the other day. We get 284. So that's like our fourth or fifth
time shooting it. And we got 284, 284, 284, 283. So very consistent. And if we were doing that
inside, it was like two 50, 15, three 70, and then wouldn't even read the other time. So
way consistent. I don't know. I don't really don't know what it is. It must be the pulsating
of the lights. Let's we have, I have a TRX 38 set up to shoot some X tens out of let's try.
Let's see what this is shooting at just for fun. This is going to be, this is going to shoot
really hard to 54. So this bow is not a speed bow whatsoever. Two 50 to two 60, I'd say is
pretty average when I'm shooting like a, a field type setup. Oh, you know what? We should shoot,
we should shoot my V or not be three VXR 31 and a half to kind of get a feel for what we're
dealing with. How many pounds says it's got to be about 75. No site. How's that look good.
Yeah. 2 97. So that's pretty fast. Let's let's weigh that arrow. I haven't weighed that air
in a while. 4 48 for my hunting arrow. That's pretty good. Not bad. 3 90 for my X 10. So way
slower, but it's not all about the arrow. It's a lot about the bow. Well, I take that back. It
depends. Okay. So now, now we're going to get to the fun stuff. So I have this, I have this VXR
that a while ago, we twisted the strings up a bunch and made it like 80 some pounds just for
fun. Um, and I did that to shoot some long distance stuff, but we're going to actually,
I want to check the weight again. I think I forget exactly what it was. It was 80 something.
So let's just check it again. Oh man. 81. It's like 81 and changed. I like makes you shake
because you're like, all right. So 81 and change. Let's shoot a couple of arrows out of it. And
then we're going to mess around with it and see what we can get. See if we can get up there up in
the, I mean, realistically we're trying to make the fastest bow ever built, which I don't know.
We'll see. We'll see what happens. So let's shoot our standard. What was this? Like 450,
450 grains, 450 grains, 81 pounds, real five. That's really not that much faster than my
31 and a half for being six pounds more or whatever. Now we have this other arrow. No,
right here. It is a hex 330 grain, super light hex arrow. It's a super, super light arrow.
Super skinny walls. This arrow is 355 grains. That is a light arrow. You shouldn't be shooting.
I would never want to shoot a deer with this arrow. That's way too light.
It's going to make for a fast arrow though. So let's try this. This has got to be,
if I had to guess, it's probably going to be around 320 or maybe more. Oh buddy. 339.
That is smoking fast. Okay. 339. That is fast. So like, I think this bow is rated for
340, 350. I think it's 350. So to get actual speeds of what it's rated for is pretty impressive.
Now what I was hoping we were going to do, oh, that's broken to shoot one of these X tens,
but I keep breaking the knocks because literally the bow is so fast when we were messing around
the other night, uh, we were trying to figure out the chronograph and I just kept breaking
the knocks on them. Guess I should weigh this because really if it's not any lighter than,
oh yeah, it's the same weight, 358. So that's not going to be any better than the,
than the hex. So nevermind. Scratch that folks. I don't even know if I have a lighter arrow than
the hex would be without it blowing up in my face. I could shoot like Caitlin's arrow through it.
Oh, Oh, how about our, uh, farmer fleet special? Let's see how, how light those are for weight.
Heavier, way heavier. Hmm. Interesting. Okay. I don't think we have very many more options.
These are hexes, hexes, hexes. I think a hex is literally the lightest arrow
that I have. Just fine. So now, now we're going to try to bump that poundage up. So we're at 339.
Is that what it was last? Yeah. Something like that. 335. I think it's 339. So let's try to get
like 370. I think we can do that. All right. So like I said, at the beginning of the video,
this is a disclaimer. Do not do this at home. And if you do do it, do not tag me in it. So
basically all we're going to do, this really isn't anything too dangerous. We're just going to twist
the cables up a whole bunch to get the poundage up, which is essentially a lot of people. So we're
going to do that. We're going to do that until we get the poundage up to, we'll do like five pound
increments. So let's do 85 and then see where we're at. Okay. So we can be semi-strategical
about this. Do one, two, three, four, five, six, seven. If you tune this bow right now and got it
in time and everything, it probably would not be pretty. Like everything's jacked up when you do
this. Like you shouldn't do this and then plan on like shooting a bunch with it. By the time we're
going to be done with this bow, getting it maxed out, it's not going to be pretty. Okay. So one,
two, three, four, five, six, seven. Like you can see that's like, that's pretty tied up. So once
you undo the press, this all kind of settle into place. But like, look at that. That is so many
twists in it. So basically what we're doing is, is we're tightening up the cables, which puts more
strain on the limbs that make you extend the limbs even more because they're already preloaded
even more. So it gives you more poundage and longer drawing slightly. Like zoom in on that
when I do this. That's like freaky looking. Hope I don't blow my shoulder out doing this.
All right. Let's come over here. Holy cow. Let's do that again. 90.
It went over 90 once. Yeah. Well, I think once it settled, it was 90. Oh,
ripped my shoulders. When I'm 70 and I'm trying to shoot a bow, I'll know exactly what happened.
This right here. Let's try it out. Oh, buddy.
So that jump 15 feet per second for 10 pounds.
I figured it'd jump a little bit more. Oh dude. I don't know if I could get any more into that
90 pound bow. Let me pull it back again in here without knowing the expectation now.
Oh yeah. We can do a little bit more. Oh dude, that thing rips. 90, 91 pound bow. Oh buddy.
Let's do a little bit more. Let's do three or four more twists. See what that is. Okay. And one,
two, three, four. Let's do one, two, three, four. All right. What's your guess?
95. Oh, 98. Did you get that? Oh, 98. Oh, I don't even know if I can pull that back.
She almost bumped it up to a hundred. No, just do it. Just one more twist. Yeah. One more,
one more twist. One, and one. There is a good bit of cameling going on right now.
I think it's okay. Oh, let's go. Dude, it ticked over to a hundred. Did you get it? Yeah. Oh man.
Comment below if you think I can pull this back or not right now. I am in question. That was hard
pulling back. 98. What was it? What was the last one? This is a hundred. No, what was the last one
I pulled back? 92 or something. Oh man. Mitch, I might have to have you pull this back. I don't
know if I can. Oh buddy. Oh, there's no way. It's so hard. No way. Oh, that's not good.
Oh yeah, that's not good. Look at this. So there's so much cameling in it that the cables are like
rubbing against, against the side of the cam and we got to fix that. I don't know how we fix that.
I don't think we can fix that. Let me tinker for a second and see if I can fix that.
So we backed it down four turns just because it was, it was a little sketch and we could,
we could probably experiment with that a little bit, but better safe to be sorry. So I'm going
to go check the poundage again. It should be at like 90, 96, maybe a five, something like that,
which I don't even know if I'll be able to pull this back, but I'll at least give her a whirl.
92. It's like what it was at earlier. Yeah. So maybe put one twist back, one twist back in and
we'll get it at 95 and call it a day. Yeah. The only thing that we could make it faster
is, um, could take the peep side out. Could take the peep side out. Really don't want to mess with
those. 94. Oh, 94.3. Might put a wrist strap on. I think you're right, Mitch. I think I could pull
more back. I haven't done one of these in a while. Hopefully the wrist strap doesn't break.
All right. Let's see what we can do. Let's see if we can pull it back.
That's about it folks. 360. Are you kidding me? Wow. 359. That's pretty freaking fast.
I heard something crack when I did that. 94 pounds. If I, okay, for real talk, if we,
if I could get one more pull out of the bow, you might be able to do one more thing
to get to go a little bit faster. So I don't know how big of a difference that's going to make,
but we took the peep out and we took the veins off of the arrow. So the veins are a little bit
of weight. Um, but with combination, Oh, did I break that snock? I don't think so. Oh, I totally
broke that knock. So much power behind this bow. It breaks knocks. The other thing we could do is
put a lighter tip in the arrow. I mean, we're getting semi-dangerous here. Like this is not,
do not do this at home, please. I've got a 75 green tip. Do you? Yeah. Easy to get to. Yeah.
75. 75 greens. Okay. This is, this is our last shot. I don't think I could even pull
anything else back after I just blew out my shoulder. I don't know how like 80 pounds.
Okay. Like I could see shooting it. Anything more than that? Like the equipment alone,
can't even barely handle it. Like it just, the amount of vibrations and everything going through
it. It's breaking knocks as it's being shot. It's crazy. Okay. So that was three 59,
which is way above advertised speeds. Oh man. Let's go do a difference.
380 feet per second because we changed it 15 grains and took out the Pete. That's what we
did. Isn't it? So in the arrow, 25 grains for the tip, 18 grains for the veins. 25, 18. Yeah.
That's quite a bit. That's quite a bit of weight. Wow. I feel like we can get a 400.
What else can we do to get it to 400? I don't think I could pull any more pounds back. I heard
another, another pop on that. What was it? 95 pounds. Yeah. Like 94. I think 94. That's pretty
fast. I think, I think that's going to be at 380, 380 on the good old Lancaster unboxed
pro Chrono LTV. And it does work. You just got to use it, use it outside or in good lighting.
All right, everyone. Thank you so much for watching, uh, us being stupid at once again
and seeing how fast we can do this. And I did some Googling and I Googled like fastest bow
on planet earth. And like besides something outrageous, like a basic consumer, but I
really didn't see anything over three 43 50. So three 80, you know, I'm sure someone's done it,
but that was pretty sweet to get all the way up to three 80, 94 ish, give or take a pound or two
pounds on bow. And let's weigh this arrow again, real fast.
Oh, that's how deep that was in there too. You can freaking crush through some stuff with this.
So this arrow is at three to 11. Wow. That's probably below the threshold of what you're
allowed to shoot out of like this type of poundage bow, but there you have it fastest
bow in the world of our knowledge and to the best of our consumer abilities. Thank you all
for watching. Make sure to pick up one of these hats. We still got a few left in stock,
the bottom lands, hat, BO merch.com and make sure to check out Lancaster archery.com. Pick
up one of these chronographs. If, uh, if you want to see how fast your bow is shooting,
it actually is a great tool and something I am going to use more and more with figuring out
different setups and just kind of what works with what combination to try to get the best speeds
out of your setups. So thank you all so much for watching. We'll catch you in the next one.
