Hello, and thank you for visiting my channel.
Today, I'm gonna talk to you about these shoes.
They are the Mesa Verde,
and I received them from Lem's Shoes.
I've been a big fan of Lem's Shoes over the years.
If you go through my channels,
you'll see that I reviewed quite a few pairs
and models of Lem's Shoes.
And there's basically two main criteria
that Lem's incorporates into the majority of their footwear
that I am looking for and gravitate towards
when I am in the market to pick up some new footwear.
And those two things are a zero-drop heel
and a wide toe box.
So I'll briefly get into why those two things matter to me.
First of all, the zero-drop heel.
What that actually means is if you see a lot of the shoes
that are out there on the market,
they'll start out, let's say, low here in the front,
and as they move backwards, they increase,
and you get what I call a high heel.
So your posture is constantly like this.
And as you can imagine,
it wreaks havoc on your alignment and your body mechanics,
and you're using all of this extra cushion,
let's say, in these newer shoes
that are keeping you less grounded to the actual ground.
And by having the zero-drop heel,
you're mimicking much more of that natural barefoot feeling
as well as movement.
The second thing that I brought up was the wide toe box.
As you can tell, many people out there with bunions
and other issues that they're having with their feet,
and a lot of that is caused by those narrow toe boxes
in most of the shoes that you see out there,
where now your toes,
instead of being able to sway freely in there
and are tethered together and compressed together,
not allowing that freedom of movement that they need,
that, once again, would mimic the same mechanics
as if you were barefoot.
And now this Mesa Verde model
that I am speaking to you about today from Lems
features both the zero-drop as well as the wide toe box.
Now, you get a lot of flexibility in these shoes
because of the way that they are designed.
I can utilize these for running.
I can utilize them for mountain biking, hiking, rucking,
or just going out to the local bistro
with my wife for lunch.
I do like the look of these shoes.
I opted for the blue color.
I think there are three color choices.
As usual, I will put much more information
as well as my affiliate link in the description,
as well as pinned in the comments field.
So be sure to check that out to get more options
and specifications about these and other Lems shoes.
Now, I spoke about versatility with these shoes.
A lot of other shoes that I own and have reviewed
in the past, the one thing that I usually feel
that they are missing,
especially for more versatility and activities,
is a good grip on the bottom of the sole.
Now, these feature three millimeter lugs,
which will offer great traction,
regardless of the environment that you are operating in
or enjoying your activity in.
So whether things in the rocks are wet
while you're out there on the trail,
whether it's a little bit muddy,
having these three millimeter lugs will go a long way
in giving you the stability and the traction that you need
in order to enjoy those activities that much more.
So let's get into some more of these specifications
on these Mesa Verde shoes.
The fit offers the trademarked Lems wide natural shape.
The upper is microfiber and air mesh.
The lining is polyester.
The midsole is EVA.
The outsole is full rubber trail traction outsole
with three millimeter lugs.
There is the insole, which is a minimal poly insole,
and you can remove that insole.
That'll give you more room inside of the shoe
as well as more of a natural feel, at least for me.
The stack height on these shoes is 14 millimeters,
and the drop, as we discussed, is a zero drop.
I opted for size 12 men's US,
and these weigh in at just under 10 and a half ounces,
which is very impressive, and they are also vegan.
Another thing that I noticed
is that the Lems logo is a bit different.
So at least for me, this is the first pair of Lems shoes
that are featuring the newer logo.
Looks pretty cool.
I don't know if that makes a difference to you or not.
Doesn't make that much of a difference to me,
but at least it looks pretty cool.
So bottom line, if you are in the market
for a shoe that offers breathability, lightweight,
zero drop, wide toe box, great traction,
looks pretty cool whether you're out there on the trail
or in the playground or out at the cafe.
Super lightweight, so something excellent
if you're worried about extra weight while you're traveling.
As I mentioned, 10 and a half ounces on a size 12.
Definitely take a close look
at these Mesa Verde from Lems Shoes.
I think if you add them to your collection,
wear them around for a while,
you'll be as happy with them as I am.
Definitely a thumbs up on these new Mesa Verdes.
