Hey there! Welcome to my channel and my home and back to my patio for part two
of patio decorating. If you haven't seen the first part, we did start decorating
the patio for spring and summer. I'll be sure to have it linked below.
Check that out because you'll see what I've done so far. We are going to
continue decorating today. My focus today is just finishing out
some of the tabletops. I may add some flower boxes to the
railing. I'm not really sure. But first and foremost
we're going to head over to my favorite local nursery which is
Spring Creek Gardens. I love this place. This is
the go-to place to get all of the best plants,
flowers, you name it. Plus they have a really great restaurant, coffee shop out
there and they have a really really really
adorable boutique that I've shared many times here on my channel. So we're gonna
head out there today and then come back and finish this patio.
So just want to say a quick thank you for
joining me today, hanging out with me. I appreciate you being here.
Let's get to decorating.
How many should I get of each do you think for that pot? Like one
or two of each? Okay. You like this one? Pretty? It smells
so good. What do you think? Which one? This one probably? Okay. And then what
else did we want to get? You said thyme. So two of these you think? That one look
okay? Or should I get maybe like this one here?
What do you think? I feel like I would use the basil.
So one or two? Two? Yeah. Okay.
Already distracted. Already distracted. Back in the car, headed home. I just got a
and it is incredible. Highly recommend. Real quick, how cute are my sneakers that
I have on today? I just got them and I'm so excited about them. They are by
the brand Seavies and they are the acorn sneaker. I feel like a lot of you don't
just have the same taste in home decor as I do, but you also have some of the
same taste in clothes and accessories. So anytime I find something like this that
I'm excited about or that I love, I want to share it here with you. When I got
these shoes in, I talked to Seavies and they were kind enough to sponsor this
video. So thank you to them for that. That was so sweet. They also gave us a
discount code. It is Britney15 for 15% off. I'll put that on the screen and I'll
put a QR code right here. You can shop with them just by scanning that with
your phone. They're just really cool. I saw them online. They come in a bunch of
different colors and I thought, you know what? I really want to try those. I love
wearing sneakers for summer, spring, really all year round, but I'm always
looking for a good sneaker this time of year because I feel like I do a lot more
walking. I'm out of the house a little more and I want to be comfortable, but I
still want to look cute. And I saw these and I love them. I went with the green,
but I was very tempted to also get the red. Definitely going to go back and
order the red, maybe even the blue. It's like a really pretty blue. These are just
a really great sneaker. They aren't just a sneaker side. They have boots, they have
mules. I actually got another pair of shoes when I ordered these. I ordered a
pair of clogs. Come to think of it, I was wearing those in my last patio video. So
you can see those. I'll put a clip in of those that I got in. Really love those
too. The most comfortable clogs I've ever owned, so happy with those. Overall,
I've been very happy with my purchase. This is my first time ordering from them
and so I really like their brand. I will definitely be buying a few more things.
The reason I noticed the sneakers originally online is because I thought
they were very vintage looking, very retro. They looked like something made in
the past and it was funny because I went to their site and I was reading about
them. They were actually one of the original sneaker brands back in the 60s
to come out with this style of sneaker that we know today and then they
disappeared for a while and then randomly one day a sneaker designer
walked into a thrift store in the early 2000s in Tokyo and found a vintage pair
of Stevies and then brought the brand back as we know it today. So I just think
that's such a cool story. Anyway, just a really cool brand overall and I feel
like the shoes are really quality and really comfortable. So I wanted to share
them here with you but we have a lot of decorating to do so let's do it. Let's
get to decorating. Let me show you what I plan to add to the patio in this video
since we already started decorating. There's just a few things that I still
want to add out here. I found a couple of things at Walmart. I actually went for
just some groceries last night and I got a couple of things. So I got this
beautiful vase. I believe this is part of the My Texas House collection and then
I also got a matching tray. I'm pretty sure these are made with outdoor use in
mind but I thought these were really pretty and a great deal. I've been
shopping a lot at HomeGoods and Target and I can say this, I've seen some
really beautiful stuff at Walmart for a little bit better of a price. So the
price point on these were good. I'll be sure to link this. I also picked up this
little lamp. It's rechargeable and I love to put these out here on the patio
because they're easy to keep out here, easy to take inside if I need to. I just
think they add such good ambiance. And then I grabbed a candle to put out here. I've
always used candles outdoors even if they were intended for indoors just
because I like the way they look. I like the way they make the space feel. So I
grabbed this one. It is in salted coconut mahogany. It smells really, really good.
It's from Better Homes and Garden and I just thought the vessel was really
pretty. I always love to buy candles with pretty vessels because you get more use
out of them than just the candle. Once the candle is gone or burned down you
can either refill it or you could use it for something else. This would be so
pretty with matches in it just to set on the table. You could keep your matches
out, little trinkets, little candy dish. Lots of good ideas for that. If you
watched my shopping video then you saw this pillow. We're gonna add this out
here today. I found this pretty little thing at HomeGoods. Someone said in that
video they said, you broke your cardinal rule of only buying pillowcase covers
and I did. Sometimes it just gets the best to me. Most of these out here are
pillow covers that I have on the patio so I'll link these. Most of them are from
Amazon. I'll have them linked in this video. This however is from HomeGoods. I
also grabbed a couple of hanging baskets. Well, I say a couple. I grabbed four. I
grabbed these two that are window boxes and then two hanging baskets with the
same florals. You'll see in just a bit I still have those inside. But I found
these at HomeGoods. I felt like HomeGoods when we went shopping, if you want to
watch that video I'll link it, had a lot of great outdoor florals, faux florals, that
will hopefully stand up to the weather. Typically I like to DIY my flower boxes
out here because I like to put them on the railing. But I just thought these
were really nice. They were pretty. They were, how much were these? $50 which for
something like this pre-made I think is a really good price. Underneath it you'll
see I also got another wicker table to go out here. I just wanted another one by
this large sofa and again at HomeGoods $50 compared to $90 is what it said on
the tags. I thought this was a good find. I've been pricing smaller tables like
this, side tables, and I haven't been able to find one that I like under $100. One
thing I was really looking for for out here was a nice set of outdoor dishes
that I could use. These are the plastic kind that don't look like they're
plastic. I found these at HomeGoods but I will link something similar if I can.
If I can find something online because I thought these were so great and I really
like the blue and white. I've been doing blue and white out here as you know if
you watched the last video you can probably tell from behind me right here.
But I also like it because I think this is really versatile for now and in the
summer because I can use this for the 4th, Memorial Day, all of that and just
kind of intermix red with it. I got a couple of brown placemats to go
underneath them as well. These are actually from Walmart, my Texas house.
They may be a little big for my bistro table out here. My table's pretty small.
But I thought these were really pretty, too pretty to pass up. So grabbed these
at Walmart. I also found some really great outdoor American flag plates at
HomeGoods. How cute are these? I cannot wait to use these this summer. This is a
set of four. I just love them. I also grabbed some plastic cups to use out
here. I love this pattern and I found it in two different sizes. So I grabbed two
in each size. How cute are these? These are so fun and pretty. Perfect for spring
and summer. Love. Apparently I need to be supervised anytime I go into HomeGoods
because I bought yet another blue and white vase. I really like this one. I
think it complements some of the other pieces that I already have in my
collection and I don't know if I will use this out here. I brought it out here
to use. We'll see. If not, I'll use it inside. I think it's very pretty. I love
it. I love the cracked effect on there. Good find. Finally, I got a couple of rugs
to go out here. Now these are not intended for outdoors. However, this is a
covered patio. Where I plan to put them, they're not going to be affected by the
weather or anything like that. And they are more of a mat, like a bath mat, on the
bottom. So these are probably easily washed. I don't know. Yeah. Machine
washable. A giant tag right in front of my face. Anyway, they're washable so I
really love that and I want to use one in front of my little bar out here and
then the other in front of the door. I think would look really nice. I found
these also at HomeGoods for $30.
Before I started decorating, I noticed there were a couple of deer in the yard
waiting for some corn. So I went ahead and threw some corn out there for them. I
actually just got a new bin to put the corn in. This is just temporary. I do need
to get something with a lid that closes. Probably like a good outdoor trash can
to keep this in. But this will do for now so the bags aren't just out on the
back patio.
After losing all of my outdoor plants that I bought last year, they did not
make it, I decided I was going to start very small this year and just focus on a
very little herb garden. So I just bought three different herbs today. I got
rosemary, basil, and chives and we are going to plant them in these three pots.
Fingers crossed I can keep these alive. Any tips would be so helpful, let me know
in the comments below.
Every time I think of you, well something happens in my mind.
And every time I try to leave, you're keeping me occupied.
I'm losing track of time, I'm losing track of time.
Sometimes love is a thought we have too long.
Sometimes it's alright just to think. Your sense of consequence, the strength to carry on.
The day breaks in the darkest places, right before the dawn.
So if you ever lie awake, with situations in your mind.
And you try to sleep it off, but night keeps on passing by.
You're losing track of time, losing track of time.
Is there a reason to act sad? I mean, take away my strength.
When love is standing holding me, right here by my side.
So if you want to take a ride, and see what happens down the road.
Find yourself a pair of gloves, and get yourself a warmer coat.
Oh yes, we'll be doing fine.
Just losing track of time.
Of course the deer showed up this evening just in time for dinner.
Little Theo loves watching the deer, and I love seeing him interact with them.
They aren't even scared of each other, which I think is so cool.
But I just wanted to say a quick thank you for hanging out with me today, decorating with me, choosing to watch this video.
It truly means so much to me that you spend time here on my channel.
I'm very grateful for you, and I figured I would leave you with a little bit of deer and doggy spam as I sign off for the day.
I of course will see you again very soon in the next one.
Until then, take care, and happy decorating!
