Thank you for watching.
Hi, today's vlog we are taking you along, well really the whole next week, we're
going to take you along with us riding certainly what is one of the best roads
in America and hopefully some other really rad roads and a lot of fun right
here in Hawaii. I have with me the lovely Miss Ashley, say hello to the camera.
We just landed out here in Hawaii we are gonna go pick up our motorcycle right
now and I thought I'd bring you all along. I also have another very good
friend sharing these miles with us this week and that of course is my boy Rusty
from D&D, Marine Corps veteran. Aloha. Total badass and good friend. Between the
three of us we should be able to show you all a very good time right here in
Hawaii. So apparently the Uber shuttle is on the other end of the airport so we
are going to take a walk. Another thing I had somebody asking me about and that's
flying to other places to ride and what you do for a helmet. I carry my helmet on
so does Ashley. You can actually take your helmet and I believe my boy Rusty's
got his helmet except he's got a really nice little bag for his. Mine just gets
beat to hell. But you can take it on, you can take it on in addition to your
carry-on typically and I've never ever had any issues. So if you're looking to
fly you can bring your helmet with you.
I'm so excited. It is beautiful here. We haven't got out of the airport yet.
So we have arrived. It's only like a mile from the airport so it made it a pretty
quick trip. We have arrived at Maui Harley-Davidson right here by the
airport and as I understand it I think there might be one on the other side of
the island as well but we're gonna find out for you for sure. What's going on man?
How you doing? I'm Jesse. Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you.
Alright brother. Rusty, nice to meet you guys. Rock and roll man. We're here to rent some motorcycles.
Woo! Let's do it. Alright. I got my guy Dwayne inside so he's gonna check you out.
Alright. This is our showroom. So you all have Hondas, you have KTM's, Kawasaki's and of course the Harley-Davidson's.
Okay baby. I asked him to make sure we had some sort of a trunk or a luggage rack.
I said we're gonna be doing some traveling around so we need to hold our gear.
Alright, which one's us? Alright, what are we looking at here? We got the two street glides.
So it's a street glide. You guys added a tour trunk to it? Yeah, a tour pack.
Man, you guys always do that or? If you request it, no doubt. So anybody can come here if
they need a tour pack you can hook them up? No doubt, yeah. Super sick. So you get
the street glide, you get the better seat in my opinion. I don't like that big
tall seat. It gets me up too high. The Queen's Throne. The Queen's Throne. This
is gonna be perfect. Thank you so much. So this is going to be our machine across
Hawaii. That one's you, Rusty, huh? Yeah. Brat like his personality.
Alright, riding. Basically two separate routes. Your first route is the classic
road to Hana. So that's all the way out here. So the etiquette is to go all the
way around clockwise to Hana. And then this is about, this is like three hours
right here. Okay. And then really what you want to do from there is you can hit
Hana and then come back out if you want. Or you can go all the way around. You
just have to navigate this section right here, which is gonna be five miles of
pretty like rough paved area. And so a lot of people hit Hana and then come out.
That's six hours round-trip. Definitely check out Paia. Definitely check out
Baldwin Beach. This is beautiful. Just all white sand beach right here. And then
definitely stop here at Ho'okipa. It's definitely a good place to stop and
check out the surf break. Keep on going. Twin Falls is kind of a classic
waterfall spot. Definitely stop at Wainapanapa. Really beautiful black sand
beach. Really easy to access. And then definitely hit Red Sand Beach. That's one
of the most beautiful beaches in the world. You know, right in the town of Hana.
Black sand and red sand. A must-see. So that's, that's day one. Day two, you're
gonna, you know, come from the airport or wherever you guys are. And then again, go
clockwise. This is called the Napili Coastline. This is all white sand beach
here. You're just gonna scoot along the ocean all the way. This is a great like
longboarding, you know, longboard break. And that just skims the ocean the whole
way around. And then once you get into Lahaina, this is like a, this is the
tourist area right here. All along this like three mile section here. And then
once you get north of Lahaina, you're in Napili. And then once you go north of
Napili, this is where it starts to get pretty technical up in here. You know,
this is like a black diamond, this area up here. Lots of twists and turns. Lots of
one-way roads. So just be real careful up in that area. If you go all the way
around here, this is like a two and a half hour loop. So this would be like day
two or whatever. Then you can go up and do the Haleakala Crater. This is the, you
know, 10,000 feet up onto the top of the volcano. You can either go up Haleakala
Highway, or you can go up Baldwin Ave through the town of Makawau. Stop at
Casanova's for a hot press sandwich. And then skirt down Makawau Ave right here.
And then you go down 377. And then from 377, this is your crater road right here.
So this is all these gorgeous switchbacks all the way up to, you know,
your 10,000 feet up here. What do you think, baby? That's the volcano that I was telling you. Yeah, yeah.
So don't miss that. Rusty, you ready for this, man? I'm ready. Straight face. Straight face means he's ready, yeah.
That's the only face Rusty has. Yeah. Yeah. I thought he was gonna smile one
time. Didn't happen.
What do you call this? You call this a hotel? What do you call it?
Mangolani Inn. The Mangolani Inn. And check out these grounds. They're absolutely beautiful.
Let's take a look at some rooms and see what we're gonna do. You said you got three studios to choose from?
Yeah. Alright. Studio number one. Oh my. Now we're talking.
So I like studio number one. Oh yeah, I would be okay with this.
But let's not, let's not jump ahead. I'm gonna feel like they're all gonna be nice.
So I guess Hawaiian style, there's no shoes in the house. We have to get some flops.
Oh man. Equally nice, right?
It really is beautiful. Landscaped and decorated. Finished nicely.
How's your Wi-Fi? Let's be honest. Good, strong, fast. Those are all three very good words.
Oh, I love this door. Look at the sink.
Did you decorate everything? My wife. Your wife is a talent.
Alright, and onto studio number three. Hey Tazzy. Can I pet you? How you doing Tazzy?
This is number three. Yes, this is also very, very nice. Same door handles?
Pretty much, yeah. They're all cool to me. I think they're all equally as cool.
Hot tub going on. Can you use this? Oh, let's find out on camera.
Rusty, what do you weigh, buddy? 160. 160? Yeah. 160 lean. Yeah, lean. That's just eight.
That's fight weight. So maybe 164. Do it. Try it though if you want.
Wow, can you do that? Yeah, you want to play it? Yeah, can you play something for us?
This is from Bali. From a local? I just got this in Bali over the summer. I was down there.
You can do that for hours. It's so peaceful. Yeah, that'll chill you right out.
He fit. He made it. He fits.
So what number did you choose, baby? Number two. Tell them number two we chose. Number two.
Rusty, I think, is taking room number one. They're all so nice though.
It's even got a little outdoor kitchen right out here in the living area.
This is a place you all absolutely want to check out if you come ride Maui.
This is perfect because it's centrally located. It's a day's trip out from here
in pretty much any direction you want to ride the entire mountain.
And the guy that runs the place is actually pretty chill.
Baby, I'd like to get a shot of you on that swing. Oh, you don't have to ask twice.
Alright y'all, that is the Mangolani in Maui. There it is.
Hit them up. Give them some love. Come ride Hawaii.
Y'all can follow us and our adventures over the rest of this week.
We're going to try to show you the most and the best of this island.
Hope we do you justice. Alright y'all, this is officially my first time in Hawaii.
My first day in Hawaii. I'm glad to be sharing it with all of you.
