Belinda Bencic vs Bianca Andreescu 2026 Rome Round 2 WTA Match Highlights

We just found a part of the line. I think Andreescu thought that one was going to drift wide. Betcha it's already on the move. She was proven to be. Now that's nifty. Good ball striking from Andreescu. She's certainly capable. And ultimately, her triumph over Serena Williams in the US Open final. And a byproduct of that great success that season, maybe even more so than the titles, although the titles led to it. She went from 152 in the world. And that's how you recover. Broken in her second service game, as Andreescu made a two-all opening set. Betchich bears down, wins her next three service games, dropping a single point. And she is one set to the good, trying to reach the third round in Rome for the first time in her career. Jasmine Paolini, in defense of her title of a year ago. She'll face Elise Mertens. K event, and runner up at a WTA 125 in Austin, Texas. Good coverage. All of that just is experience. H2, 1,000, WTA 1,000s, and a Grand Slam. A bit of defiance from Andreescu, but Betchich ultimately able to put it away. Three pretty impressive titles. A little trickeration. But it's Betchich who, right now, holds the cards. You haven't even argued some of these are forced. Also a number, former number four in the world, by the way, as are both women on court. You loved that little tidbit, didn't you? I was saving it just for the, I thought it was the right moment after game number. That one just dropped in. Great spin. As Betchich finds her way to match point. And finishing with a literal flourish. Belinda Betchich stamps her progress in Rome. She's finally through to the third round of the Forno Italico.
