i got a cat

I'm so excited for today's video. Our new cat is going to be arriving in literally two minutes. I was like rushing getting the water fountain and litter box set up. I also wanted to show you guys some of the food we got him. So we have literally like this entire cabinet dedicated to him. I asked the current owners what food he's on right now and they said he's on the Purina Pro Plan, the chicken recipe. So we bought a bunch of these. We also have some salmon oil and pumpkin powder, treats and toppers. So minnow, we have cat grass, some of these cat treat tubes. And up here is like just more treats. We have some open farm stuff, Purr Pops, like all that stuff. We should be expecting him literally any minute. I'm just like doing some quick tidy up to make sure everything is off the floors. I don't know why I'm doing this. For what? For him to come. Oh, that's okay. The owners were here for like one hour. The entire time we were just letting him adjust. He was definitely like a little scared at the beginning and stayed in his carrier, but right now he's under the couch chilling, probably still adjusting. So I don't want to disturb him, but I'll show you guys. It's out of focus, but... He's just chilling. I didn't even eat the chewing in my hand. Hi. People are saying how much their cat loved it, like, I guess this is why. Oh, he's using it, Eric. I see some water splashing all over his face. Oh, I think he's going to love your blanket. We're going to have to share that blanket now. Oh my god, he's got biscuits on it. Oh, it's his now. Oh, hell no, it's his now. Do I need a new one? Aww. Okay, fine, you can have it. Going crazy for that rope again. I wonder what it is. I left my desk to go eat lunch, and Milo woke up from his nap to follow me. For lunch, I just have some leftover pasta from last night. Milo is right beside me. He's, like, shoving his face into my hand. I don't know what he's doing. But yeah, he's so cute. I literally couldn't ask for a more cuddly and playful and calm cat. Like, he is just so good. Okay, guys, it's officially been 21 hours since Milo has been here. He just woke up from a nap. You can see his little tail. Initially, it was definitely an adjustment for him because as soon as the previous owners left, he, like, hid under the couch and was there for, like, a few hours until he was comfortable enough to come out and, like, gradually explore new territory. He's just so brave. Today I also had work, so I was also curious to know how he would behave during a work-from-home day. And honestly, he's the most peaceful cat during the day. He was just sleeping by my feet, between my feet, and just following me around wherever I went. I learned that he just loves to be pet, and he loves belly rubs. Sometimes he shoves his face in my hand, which I talked about earlier. So I chat GPT'd it, and apparently it's a sign of trust. Ah, that's so cute. By the way, I think he's so comfortable right now because I have a blanket over one of these lap desks. So, it's a strategy. Anyways, I also wanted to quickly share, like, why we decided to get a cat. Eric and I decided to get a cat back in January. It was always at the back of our minds that we wanted a cat. And one day, I was just browsing, and I found Milo. I just thought, like, we needed to get him because he was just so adorable. So then we just connected with the previous owner, started talking, and then two months later, he's with us now. We also later learned that Milo's birthday is the same day as mine and Eric's anniversary. So we literally thought that he was meant to be with us. His birthday is October 24th, so that also means he's a Scorpio cat. I have Google right beside me, and apparently that means he is intense, mysterious, and fiercely loyal. I'm not very big on horoscopes, but it was just, like, interesting to Google it. Sometimes I like to do this little bunny ear thing. Oh yeah, and when he first came, his appetite wasn't very big. He had some diarrhea and just wasn't eating too much food. Today, he definitely ate a lot more. I can see he's, like, almost done his plate of food. I'm hoping that after he's more comfortable, his appetite will grow to normal. Yeah, such a peaceful kitty. He's, like, perfect. He's so cute. And you'll see lots of him in my vlogs because I'm just so obsessed. It's 6.30pm, and Milo finally finished eating his little plate of food. I'm so happy, honestly, because he was supposed to finish this in, like, one meal, but I think, like, it's been two meals worth by now. So, I took his unfinished wet food from yesterday out of the refrigerator, and I have, like, lukewarm water in here, so I'm just gonna mix this together. And hopefully he eats this as well, because he still should be eating a little bit more than he has so far. You still hungry? Nope. What you doing? He's so confused that, like, he can go around the TV and then, like, under it, like, trying to see what's on the other side. Milo's finally eating his wet food.
