I'm back on the Sauron Lightbee in this huge abandoned quarry.
Not only are there going to be a load of sick Sauron bangers, if you stick around long enough,
we're going to be shredding my Canyon Freeride bike at the end of the video.
Let's get into the action.
So stoked to be back out on the Sauron Lightbee.
This thing's epic.
Let's hit this big step down into there first.
Whoa.
I went quite big out of that.
That's cool.
Pretty good.
That's a fairly impactful landing.
Let's go that way because there's some other cool features.
There's a huge hip down here.
I've done it before.
Every time I look at it, it's actually pretty scary.
Look.
That's scarily big, actually.
It's insane what you can do on these things.
Challenge time.
Let's see if eight kilowatts can get up this ridiculous hill climb.
Three, two, one, dropping.
Sauron one, hill climb, zero.
I thought I wasn't going to make that then.
Let me clean it with a longer run-up.
Well, that was a sick warm-up to the vid.
Let's go and see what else we can find.
We just came to this park real quickly because there's one feature in here that looks sick.
You go from here all the way into that pocket, and then you sort of go around that rock on
the floor.
Wow.
Not quite that.
It is pretty sick.
It's quite a long gap, but not the best.
We're going to do the finales.
Come out of this lip, up onto the grass top here.
I thought I was going to hit that bin.
Another day, another spot.
Look at this beauty.
This is a proper BMX-y park.
We're going to see what's possible on this.
Let me try these two jump boxes in a row.
Oh, sick.
Pretty sick, but they're so aggressively steep.
It's not the best to ride.
Let's see what else we can do on the Sauron.
We've come home, switched to the truck.
We've got the Sauron on the back.
I've got a spade and the hopper ramp, and we've found this perfect spot.
If we just shape a little bit of this bank here, we can make a massive hip onto it like
proper freestyle motocrossy.
There we go.
That's the quick landing build done.
Let's get the hopper built about here.
We've got the Area 51 hopper ramp.
After a little bit of building, we've got this huge ramp in place.
It always shocks me how big it is, actually.
I'm going to move the truck, and we can give it a first test.
It should get loads of airtime onto that.
First little hit.
Let's see if we can make it happen.
Big case.
The landing works.
I was just aimed in the wrong direction.
That's massive, isn't it?
The landing's really short, though.
I almost missed it there.
It's actually quite a scary hip.
It's more than 90.
I'm going to try and move the whole ramp over, and then the gap could actually get bigger
because I'm falling out of the sky into nothing.
It's quite a scary feeling.
I'm just going to try that.
The landing might be nice enough.
That's so sick.
You can just set things up like that with that ramp.
A dream would be a no foot can outward, so you'd be on that side or front on.
That will work.
Let's get it in slomes, then.
I want to move this back.
I think you could go massive.
It's actually way nicer longer.
It's sick like that, though.
Proper lean.
He McSteves it.
It actually feels better longer.
I'm going to just try and pull it back even more.
That is so big now.
It's ridiculous.
If I'd have started like that, I never would have done it.
This is proper freestyle motocross now.
Dropping.
Crazy.
That hurt my back.
I went to flat.
Look at it.
It's huge.
That landing sucks for how big we're going.
We're going to move.
Next spot hasn't been hit for a while, but it's perfect.
You got the bank there, this path, and a landing here.
Got the hopper ramp in place.
Let's see how it goes.
I went so big there.
You OG followers and watchers might remember that I supermanned this years ago.
I haven't been here for three years.
If you've got that brain, then you're amazing.
Let me see if I can superman again on this.
I will be able to.
It's just scary.
Let's do it in slow motion.
Insane superman.
I'm stoked on that.
I'm going to just try and move this ramp so it's a really long go.
That's so nice.
I woke up today and thought I want to do some bangers on my freeride bikes.
We've come to Twisted Oaks.
They've got a new added roll in here on the mulch section.
I'm just going to start here, see what we can do.
I want to get a double bar.
I've actually never double barspin my freeride bike.
That's the first maneuver.
Just do an X-up.
Yes.
I don't even need to do it that quick.
I just had a weird mind thing.
The ones I did before, I went bar, X.
I was like, I'm just X-ing anyway.
I might as well bar.
Then it worked.
Simple as that.
Go and do a double bar.
While we're barring, we used to do these funny ones where you go like that.
Then bar last second.
Feels well good.
While we're barring, then we get a three bar on this.
I just got all bar-y all of a sudden.
Oh, yes, there.
Oh, scared.
Yes, nice.
That was a cool little dumpy one.
I actually haven't three barred my freeride bike.
That's sick.
This new setup at Twisted Oaks with the taller run into this mulch
has actually completely transformed it.
This is exactly what it needed.
So fun.
I'm going to get a frontie on the go now.
Wow, I went massive.
That's one of the coolest things with front flips
is you can go further on jumps that are harder to clear,
but when you haven't done it for a little while, like myself,
I forgot.
Let me just see that.
Where did I land then?
Wow, I went massive.
That actually shows you how much more speed there is now
because I used to pedal all the way in frontie.
Let me do one with less pedaling.
It's so good, this mulch.
It's literally the dream.
Nice.
That is actually a perfect jump for it.
I mean, not many of you are going to want to,
but if you're wanting to try your first ones,
that's probably the jump for it.
The lip's really flat,
so you don't have to go as much as if you're on a steep one,
if you know what I mean.
That frontie's got me stoked.
I want to do a flip manny.
Not quite as bangerish as the frontie,
but it does look nice if it works.
Pretty cool.
This is a baz.
Oh, that's sick.
I love that.
I keep forgetting that I can do it,
and when I do it and see it, I love it,
so I'm going to keep doing them from now onwards.
Let's go to my slope line drop,
because I want to see if I can three it on this.
I'm up on my slope line.
We're on the first drop.
Now, any of you lokes that come to Twisted's
will have seen work taking place
on the second section of this slope line.
We're not going to ride that yet,
but it is almost done.
When it is, we'll make a video on it.
It looks incredible.
We're going to have...
There's no quarter pipe anymore,
and there's like hips and trick jumps,
and I'm sure you'll all enjoy that more
than having to air 10 foot out of a quarter pipe to get speed.
Anyway, this is the drop.
Look, come here.
You probably know it,
but this has been changed as well.
It's actually a bit smaller now.
I mean, it still looks big from there,
but they brought it up a little bit,
wider, just looks more fun.
It's quite windy,
but I want to see if I can get a three on it with this bike.
Yo.
Oh, that's so good.
Just for a little test, because I'm excited,
I'm going to three it again.
Now, with the new landing,
I should be able to three, push,
and then clear that jump normally.
It's a little bit wet down there,
but this is to prove how much better the course is going to be after.
Okay, I managed it,
and it's wet, and my trousers ripped on my seat.
Cool.
I'm stoked.
That line's going to be insane,
especially on a jump bike.
I mean, this thing's actually really soft.
We've come up to the big line.
It's pretty windy, unfortunately,
but we've got the Canyon Spectral on.
That's what Louis is riding.
E-bike, so it's obviously heavier than a normal bike,
so that isn't going to affect me with the wind that much.
All right, in for the e-bike dream lap.
Last in there.
Keep the speed here.
Boom.
Oh, this is sick.
Wow, MP.
Oh, that's so fun.
Yeah, just quite hectically blurry down here for the little bike.
It's just a little bit annoyingly windy now,
so we're going to be done with the bikes,
but don't worry,
because we found one more Finale Søren spot the other day,
which was just so much fun.
Look at this.
After a bit of driving around,
we found a sick little Finale Ronaldinho spot.
We've got the MTB hopper up.
Søren, I'm sat on,
and there's a bit of a landing there.
The gap's quite big at the moment.
You can kind of land anywhere on there,
so let's try it.
Huge.
How is that even possible?
How good that setup is.
Hopper and Søren.
Let's try and get a no-hander then on this gap.
That's actually feeling really pleasant.
I want to put the kicker here,
and then you can go like...
Well, you just step up a metre to there,
but still, it could be well good.
That's actually cool, though.
Let me just jump up it again,
see what it feels like.
I reckon as a big freestyle motocross-y sort of hip
would be cool, wouldn't it?
Could actually work.
Realistically, to make that work,
that needs to be...
If I put one leg on, it will actually be a dream.
I should lift it up high enough, look.
That is a proper air, actually, isn't it?
That's proper.
I didn't think that would actually work like that.
Get it in slomes.
I'll try and take the leg off,
and then put the front wheel in like that.
You'll sit on me.
I'll take that banger Oppo Air as the finale.
That's so cool.
It feels amazing.
I love the Sauron.
Haven't been on it for a little while,
so I'm super happy to have got out on it again,
explored some new spots,
and found some new features to hit.
If you want to see more of this, let me know.
If you have any other ideas of things to do on the Sauron,
or any other vehicles and bikes, let me know.
See you in the next one.
