Melissa/Brandie vs. Ittlinger/Grüne - Pool Play Highlights | Saquarema 2026 #BeachProTour

Hello and welcome to the Volleyball World presentation of the Beach Pro Tour. This is an elite series. And Melissa right out of the gate and that one's going to go long. So Germany get on the board first. Melissa out of the middle. Gruen is going to handle that and go around to the left side and slap it up the line before Brandy can get in front of that. Not wide this time and rattling the block of Ittlinger. Finding the deep regions of the court there. Gruen has a nice high-reaching line shot from Brandy over the top amongst the Canadians. But really it just breaks down to keep the ball in the court and you'll be okay. A nice dig from Germany. That one does find the sideline outside of it. There's a point back for Canada. Switch ends again. 8-6 is the advantage to Germany. Canada closing the gap a little bit. That's a really nice put away. You can see the footwork had to be adjusted slightly by Melissa there. But she makes a nice swing up the deep middle. Nice read there and pick up from Brandy. And the little knuckle gets the job done. Now level on 8. Out of the middle. Gruen does find the deep line. Again, a wide Melissa. So here we go. Melissa to continue after the technical timeout. And that's set over the net. Brandy cleans that up. This match since calling their timeout. And Brandy just smothering that one. You can see anything that close to the net. And again, that is the Brandy zone. Can't get the ball up there. No room to maneuver. Sliding service approach from Mel. Swatted back. Again, too close to the net. And Brandy again cleaning that up. Good cut shot there. Gave Gruen a little bit more space to work around the big block. That's a nice swing on the right side from Melissa. That one's going to trickle off the top of the tape. Nicely tucked into the corner by Ittlinger. Very nearly being an ace to a nice... That's really nicely done. Nice to be a lefty in that situation. Brandy the good touch and go. But it goes over the net. And Gruen able to find the range away. Step in from Gruen and she is able to evade the block of Brandy Wilkerson. Serve misses and so that gives Canada the 21-16 win in set number one. Set number two. Set to go here. It's Gruen. Out of the tape. And Melissa able to retrieve it. That's a nice turn up the line from Gruen. Pushing out wide and that's a little close to the net. Ittlinger blocking twice. And Wilkerson getting on top of that one with some authority. That is a tremendous serve right up the sideline. So Canada immediately level. Hitting mistake approach on the float serve this time. And gets back to back. That kind of slide, that is excellent stuff. One-two combo. Is that going to be three in a row? And Ittlinger gets a hand on it. So I think it's technically a service winner. Melted continues serving. And she's got a dig. Perfect to Brandy. Wide open net. And look out below. Brandy getting one as well. So the Canadian run continues. Point advantage as we switch ends. And Melissa continues serving. And it's another dart. I mean she is dialed in. And that thing is going to be right in the Wilkerson zone. Which means not good stuff if you're trying to attack. That serve catches the baseline as well. So I mean that is five aces in this set. And Ittlinger with the block. So that's a nice swing deep away. As Ittlinger was trying to retreat. Ace master, five aces already in this set alone. Melissa. Good serve up the middle. Melissa from the right. Laguna is going to handle that. Could pick up Humana Paredes. Off the top of the tape. Good serve up the middle from Brandy. And that's a nice shot. Good swing again. Wilkerson. Long run for Brandy. That one was a nice swing again. Germany kind of going to that. Off the top of the tape. Gruna is going to go around to the left. Melissa a little easy pick up. On two off the hands of Ittlinger goes Wilkerson. Off the top of the tape. Melissa. Nice read there from Gruna. But she can't control. The ball goes on top of the net. And Wilkerson puts it. That one, oh. Did catch the sideline. But it's a good start. And Melissa with the cut shot. Gets it to fall. And that is how this one ends. 21-14 in set number two. In favor of the Canadians. Brandy Wilkerson, Melissa Humana Paredes. Out of Germany.
