Sunday Soaker: Steady rain, cool temps hit Massachusetts— Any break for Memorial Day?

From your weather experts, here's your local forecast with meteorologist Tucker Antico. Temperatures today stay in the low 50s as showers continue to fall across the region. I expect highs at best would be in the mid-50s in spots but it's going to be tough to achieve that without any sun out there and the rain of course will keep things cooler too. The system bringing the rain is to the south of us now but you can see all the moisture ahead of it that puts it right over our heads as it continues to move eastwards the rest of our morning getting into some of the steady and moderate stuff in central mass seeing the lighter stuff reach eastern mass now and while the steady rain will let up just a little bit in the afternoon showers will not completely be out of here really at any point and even heading into our memorial day there is a good chance we're dealing with more showers at a time in the morning before some clearing in the early afternoon about a half inch to an inch of rain totals here pretty good soaker and it's going to leave those puddles in the ground for a while so watch out for mud and of course the kids are going outside give them some boots now if we do take a look the rest of the week you will see it's not too bad it's just the weekend that's rainy i expect us to be warm and dry heading into the middle of the week and continuing later on as well
