After an unsuccessful search for a specific tequila liqueur in port, they spend the majority of their time enjoying the ship's amenities, including the empty pool decks, hot tubs, and the adult-only Zen pool, while appreciating the quiet atmosphere of a port day.
Good morning! So we just got a coffee from the coffee emporium. First time we've slept in
long enough that it is actually open when we got up so we got a nice cappuccino. It was very
delicious. I enjoyed it. I've had a couple iced coffees there midday but this is the first morning
coffee and it was very good. I don't know why. You don't know why? I don't know why I wake up so early.
He doesn't know why he slept in today which I mean sleeping in to him was seven o'clock so.
So we're in Cozumel today mostly gonna do ship stuff maybe explore the port. We've been here
before so won't be too much new stuff for us I don't think. Yesterday the ship was empty and
it was yeah it was awesome. We did all the dry activities. Today hopefully we can get all the
water slides and all that kind of stuff done give all that a test because the dry slides. Thank you
much. We're very fun and so far we've been really enjoying our experience on MSC World America.
Touring around port today I have a specific goal of finding Aguevera. It's a tequila liqueur and
it's absolutely fantastic. It's hard to find but I can usually find it in Cozumel.
Going to every tequila store and going down the road to the supermarket we found that we
cannot get it anywhere. It sounds like every place is sold out of it and there's a bit of a
production issue so maybe next year. What'd you get buddy? Now that we've finished our shopping
we're heading back to the boat. Got our son a stuffy. He absolutely loves it and we are going
to enjoy some pools on the ship. We had a beach day booked but we changed our mind just wanted
to take another day to experience MSC World America as we've been to Cozumel more times
than we've been on the ship. We just explored the Cozumel port for a bit. Arlo got a memory as
he calls his toys now. There's a cool like security check when you go through where they
sniff your bags out with a dog. Pretty interesting. The dog's name was Pinocchio as well so if you
ask nicely they will let you give them a little pet. Once again the main pool deck is very empty
probably about 20 capacity so it's been absolutely fantastic. We took the road near the hot tub. We
used the pool in the hot tub. Very very nice. Had it all to ourselves. Really like the section of
seats. The hot tubs were nice and warm. There's multiple on each set of staircase so it's a great
spot to enjoy a hot tub. The pool was a little cool for me but we still got good use out of it.
The hot tubs at the indoor pool are a little bigger. Great view. Can be crowded on sea days
and in cold weather but on a day like this they were as empty as could be. There was nobody using
the interior pool. I don't think I've ever been on a cruise ship on port days where it gets this
quiet. Like you can see the promenade. There's like three people on eight through six bars. It's
really crazy. So we're just trying to get the little guy to take a rest. We were at the pool.
He was getting a little like sunned out so we brought him in here. Just air conditioned it up
and then probably go get a few snacks at the bite spot they have there on the main floor or on the
main pool deck. Then maybe hit up some water slides or something like that. We have some
impromptu grandparent babysitting so we're gonna head up to the zen pool bar, get a drink, enjoy
some views in the adult only area. We haven't got to explore this yet. We had a fantastic pool day.
Nice and warm. Pretty much all day we went to the adult area at the back of the pool. The zen bars,
zen pool they call it. Had a drink there. It was pretty nice. Great views. Enjoyed that a lot. Now
we're getting ready for dinner and then touring around the ship again tonight. We found quite a
few ducks now if you want to check it out. Look at this. Not a bad haul. Tomorrow we are at a sea day so
probably do we didn't get to the water slides today. I just ended up you know touring around
having some fun at the pool since we haven't had a ton of this weather weather the sunny weather.
One of my favorite things in Mexico is this color of the ocean. Get that awesome blue color.
Just beautiful. Beautiful sunset to end our sunny and warm day in Cozumel. We're gonna head down for
dinner and then play some arcade games and then go enjoy a drink at the gin bar that has become
our favorite spot on the MSC World of America.
