MSC Ocean Cay on World America

We have made it to Ocean Cay. It was a little unknown. It was pretty windy last night but they were going to be able to dock this morning because the winds calmed down, so we have made it. So we're gonna go up to deck 19 I think, go to the buffet and then probably tour around the island. I don't know if we'll make it in the water or not, it's pretty chilly today. I'd say like in the 50s We'll see how it goes but the sun is super warm so that might entice some swimming later on. First time I've actually seen this on a cruise ship they were testing the lifeboats. While we were getting ready to head down to Ocean Cay we heard a bang, we looked down and we saw this boat jetting off. It was really unique. Ocean Cay has a lot of rentals so if you're interested in renting a jet ski or a Sea-Doo for the day they do have that option. Ocean Cay constantly changes. Every single year you get here there are updates to this island so we're going to go tour around. It's still pretty chilly so we're still dressed up and in sweaters but my son is having an absolute fantastic time filming any and all wildlife he can possibly see. I'm filming you filming me. MSC has added a new buffet near the lighthouse bay and a couple extra bars so we're going to set up here. Lots of music going on so this seems like a great spot to spend the day. My son desperately wants to make a video of the ocean so we're going to get the GoPro, head down and just take a little bit of time in the water even though it's still pretty chilly. After a chaotic sprint down to the water we managed not to run over anybody's towel so I'm considering that a big win. You want to see something? Come here, come here. The ocean is still rather chilly so we're content just to stay on shore and throw some rocks and sticks in the water for a while. Alright so this turned out to be not too bad of a day. It's got up to about 18 celsius. Sorry I'm walking this is gonna be shaky cam. So yeah enjoying the beach today. Got in the ocean that was nice. Still super burnt so staying out of the sun a little bit more than normal but having a good time here even though it's sunny it looks tropical but it's I mean it's warm for a Canadian so that's I think all you can ask. Quickly took advantage of the heat and ran up and hit the water slides while everybody was getting ready for lunch. Super fun really enjoyed it. So just did the water slides that was a lot of fun. We're going back out maybe hit a bar do some duck hunting. Done with our beach today I think. Little guy is pretty tired out so we're just gonna go chill around the ship. Yeah having a great day lots of fun. The pizza and burger spot was one of our favorite spots for lunch and snacks. They have buffalo chicken wings here almost every other day and they were one of my favorites so I had to load up on them for our last day of the cruise. Our family wanted to try some of the activities they hadn't had the chance to yet like the rope course and the dry slide so we're gonna go watch them and see how they do. I'm gonna be Gigi next or grandma or papa. You think so? Nope. A lot of the activities on the ship you can book in advance so if it's something you want to do think ahead and you will avoid some of the lines. Your drink package does work at the main dining room so if you have that question don't worry about it your drinks will be covered. Our last show of the cruise is Odyssey's. We're going to head there right after dinner. I really enjoyed the shows on this ship. My favorites were Dirty Dancing and Cinesonic and then the Odyssey was probably a little bit farther behind but was still really entertaining. All right so our trip has officially come to an end. Heading off the boat now. Grab a quick brunch. We're all a little bit under the weather today in the airport on the way down so not the worst day to get off the boat. We made an early arrival in Miami last night. I guess there was a medical emergency so we left the island a little bit earlier but they made pretty good time. I think we were here right before midnight last night so hopefully that person is doing okay and they got the treatment they needed.
