Burgess & Leigh Burleigh Ware Blue and White Willow China 15.5-inch Platter

Well what a lovely bit of Burgess & Lee antique burlyware in the blue willow or burly willow design. 15.5 inch platter, 12 inches across and look not just one we've got a matching pair. What an astounding opportunity, a rare opportunity to put these two together. We are selling them individually because they are part of graduated platter sets and one has got a little bit of a chip just here on the rim okay. So they are fantastic, they're very very clean. Let me show you the china marks on the back and just the front surface on the glaze for burly. Really nice clean things. Here we have Burlyware England, Willow, Burly England there and we've also got B&L England impress marks on here. So these are probably quite early for burly and considering that to have a pair for display of matching platters is really quite an exceptional opportunity. We're selling them individually as I said the first one to go will be the one that's perfect, the second one to go will be the one that's still got the auctioneer's stickers on here. Again this one apart from that tiny little rim chip just here on the front is in very fine condition. Similar B&L mark here and the Burgess & Lee Willow Burly marks there as well. I don't think these have been heavily used. There is, let me get that one the right way up, a few surface markings on them but they're very very bright and to have as I say the opportunity to purchase a pair. We probably will put a discount up on these so that if you do buy the two together, if there are still two available when the time you're looking at the listing, we will probably knock 50% off the second platter there so you get a pair for a discounted price. So available for sale on the Vintage and Antiques website. Do follow the description link below, it will take you through to the listing for these two fantastic large 15.5 inch by 12 inch rectangular burly willow pattern platters. Thanks for watching.
