We begin in the village streets, enjoying the calm atmosphere of the morning before welcoming guests at home. Later, I prepare a homemade clafoutis, one of the classic desserts of French cuisine.
During the day, we take a short moment by the sea, enjoying the light and peaceful rhythm of the Côte d’Azur, before returning to the village. As evening arrives, the narrow streets become calm again, lit softly at night, bringing a different atmosphere to the end of the day.
A simple day of home life, cooking, and small moments in the South of France.

The narrator shares a peaceful day and evening in their French medieval village, transitioning from hosting a lively barbecue for guests from Nice to a quiet night walk. The day is highlighted by the preparation of a traditional cherry clafoutis, a visit to the rocky coast, and a stop at a local boulangerie to enjoy regional specialties.
Hello everyone! How are you? I need to drop the trash just outside the village. I know it's not
a glorious way to start the video but I just was thinking that I didn't show you our village
at night for a long time. I think last time it was for Christmas lights
and now we have a very warm evening. In this summer nights our village has a different character.
It is so quiet. Well, the days are longer now and it's very dark now because it's quite late
actually. We had a long day, very different from this evening, quiet evening. We had
a guest earlier this day and that's why I have a lot of trash to go through.
Just finished the cleaning and it was a very beautiful day I want to share with you.
Wow, the sky!
Earlier this day we were preparing for the guests. They are coming from Nice, a few couples
and they all live in Nice and Nice started to be more crowded and we
really had some like a very hot couple of days and the idea to spend a day in the medieval village
surrounding by nature was very appealing for them. I need one more chair. They're all different,
I know, and I was just noticing that we have already fruits. We need to collect them.
This is our neflier. Don't need to forget to collect them before it's too late.
We have tomato mozzarella salad, salad with raw zucchini, some barbecue.
I didn't even have time to change, everything happened so quick and later for the dessert
I prepared clafoutis with the cherries and it's already evening. It happens all the time.
You start a barbecue at 12 at midday and it continues until dinner. The whole day
just telling the stories and having a good time.
So the clafoutis. Earlier today we prepared it together with Matt.
We hear the ringing of the church bells. It's Sunday morning. It's a season of cherries. We have
a very good one at the local market now and so it's time when we say cherry,
we say cherry clafoutis. It's a traditional French dessert, not from our region,
but not from Provence, but it's a classic dessert, you know.
Matt calls me to see the cat, but she immediately hides it in the basement.
We almost finished. The authentic version is made with the whole cherries,
so there are seeds left inside, which you have to say many times to your guests before they
start to taste it. So now we put cherries in place and you know what was next.
And now the guests left. The house is clean. Kids played the whole day together,
so they're exhausted. And me and you are having a beautiful evening walk in our village.
These are frogs.
I am negotiating here to leave this poor crab alone and I won the battle. The crab is safe.
And we are at our favorite area where we can find lots of spots for fishing,
but you have to lay on the rocks. My back doesn't appreciate it very much and I'm just
looking at the beach far away, just opposite, Carnoles. And there are quite a lot of people
on the beach for May and it's summer really. It's nice to be on the beach,
but I have a fisherman's son and we are enjoying the rocks. Look at the water, there are no waves,
it's very very calm. On the way back we stopped at a French boulangerie. It is more than just
a bakery, it is an important part of daily life and French cuisine. There's so many yummy things
and you will find a lot of local specialties in French bakeries than in the restaurants and
snacks. So I think anyway it is like a hobby, number one, just to sit in a cafe,
terrace, drink coffee and watch the streets. This is the best thing to do.
Here we are a bit far from the street. We choose this bakery for the shadow
and we took with us some very local
specialties.
We supposed to bring it at home, but time we arrived to the village and parked the car,
everything was eaten. The delicious barbegeoin. It's a specialty from Monaco.
It's very easy to cook at home too and you know where you will find the recipe of this very soon.
I didn't decided yet how to finish this video and the same evening, just a bit later,
the nature showed me the way. So after a shower I just run out
to see this dramatic sky. The orange in the beginning start to turn
rose red. Time I back home it was completely red. Well, I'll see you soon in the next video.
Thank you so much for watching. I love you all and see you soon.
