The Continuation Model is a high-probability trading strategy focused on capturing consistent moves within trending markets. By prioritizing the likelihood that trends will continue rather than reverse, the model uses a three-step objective process—identifying liquidity targets, locating higher timeframe gaps, and executing via inversion gaps—to achieve a win rate of approximately 70% or higher.
Every single day now, guys,
we are getting banger A plus textbook trades
using the continuation model.
So if you're new to this channel,
you don't know about the continuation model,
I'm gonna be breaking it down in today's video.
This was a trade that we took on the live stream today.
And you know, a few people have commented before,
you know, why don't you trade live?
If your strategies work so well, why don't you trade live?
Guys, I do trade live.
I trade live every single day inside the group.
So if you guys want to join that,
I'll leave the link down in the description below.
But in today's video,
we are going over my favorite model of all time
in eight years of trading.
This is the most consistent model,
the most confident model I've ever traded.
And guys, we literally have people
who have been struggling to trade for years,
literally years, trading with this model.
And within a few weeks, they're getting payouts, guys.
They're getting max payouts on Lucid.
This is from today.
Okay, this is from this morning,
done for the day, 2,700, first time in a live,
big winner on the funded halfway through,
three evals, two wins, first time here.
And we're doing this every single day, okay?
So this strategy is called the continuation model.
This takes advantage of trending markets, okay?
Because statistically speaking,
trends are more likely to continue than they do reverse.
So all that we are doing
is we are catching a little piece of the pie, okay?
We don't care about catching this entire move up, right?
It's very hard to catch the entire move up,
sell at the top, and then catch the entire reversal, right?
You have to be some sort of trading wizard to do that.
We are not focused on that, okay?
All we are focused on, guys,
is catching this little move, okay?
This tiny little move from right here to right here.
A little piece of the pie, that is all we need.
We enter the trade when the three steps align,
we take our money, and then we go home, okay?
That is the premise of this strategy.
Now, there's a few steps that go into this trading model,
but it's very simple, very intuitive,
and all of you guys out there who are watching this
are capable of trading this
because it is very simple, it's very beginner-friendly,
and what I've noticed in my eight years in trading
is that simplicity is often best, okay?
So we do not overcomplicate
with a ton of different indicators,
a ton of different levels that we're looking at,
a ton of different entry triggers.
We are simplifying it down to the basics.
So let's go over the three major steps involved, okay?
Number one is having a clear draw on liquidity,
and this is something that isn't talked about enough, okay?
You must have a clear draw on liquidity
before you get into a trade,
especially when you're trading the continuation model.
Now, this should be a clear and obvious draw on liquidity
that price is expanding upward towards.
So for example, this could be an all-time high,
this could be equal highs, previous day high,
previous day high, previous session high,
any sort of external liquidity level
that price is expanding towards,
moving with speed and momentum towards this level,
we can use the continuation model.
Just think about it logically.
If price is moving with speed and momentum
towards a level like an all-time high,
or an equal high, or a previous day high,
and we're moving up quickly
and we're about to touch that level,
what do you think is going to happen?
Well, price most likely wants to tag this level.
Why?
Well, because there is a liquidity pool
at these draws on liquidity.
That's what a draw on liquidity is.
There is liquidity, right?
Open and resting orders,
and what do we know about price?
Price seeks liquidity.
So whenever price is expanding
towards an obvious draw on liquidity,
there is a high likelihood of price tapping that level.
That is when we use the continuation model
to get a small piece of the pie.
Once we have identified that clear draw on liquidity,
we wait for a new five-minute
or 15-minute fair value gap to form.
So let's say on my screen here,
we have an all-time high, okay?
This is our draw on liquidity,
and price comes right up towards this all-time high,
creating a relative equal high with that all-time high.
What does common sense tell us?
Well, price is most likely seeking this liquidity
at the all-time high, so longs are valid.
That would be step one, okay?
Step number two, oh, I don't know why this says number one.
Step number two is we are going to now wait
for a new five-minute or 15-minute fair value gap to form.
These are the only two timeframes I look for,
and this is the only type of PDRA
or point of interest I look for.
I don't use order blocks.
I don't use breaker blocks.
I don't use support and resistance.
I use fair value gaps.
Now, why do I use fair value gaps
as my higher timeframe point of interest, okay,
or my higher timeframe delivery?
Well, fair value gaps are one of the only points of interest
that are objective, okay?
So all this means is that there's only one way
to draw a fair value gap.
You know, when you're trading support and resistance,
there are a couple of ways that you can draw these levels.
You can look at it a little bit differently.
With a fair value gap, it is simply the gap
between the first and the third candle
on whatever timeframe you're looking at.
There's not two ways to draw a fair value gap,
so I like to use objective levels in my trading,
which is also why I like to use IFEGs as my entry trigger.
So we wait for a new five-minute
or 15-minute fair value gap to form.
Either one of these are fine.
Now, quick side note here, okay?
If we have a five-minute fair value gap,
but a 15-minute is forming within the next five minutes,
wait for 15-minute to form, okay?
So if we have a five-minute fair value gap,
and there's, let's say, a couple minutes left
until the new 15-minute fair value gap forms,
I will hold off on taking the five-minute,
and I will wait for the 15-minute,
because then I would be entering a long position
with my stop loss at a newly created 15-minute,
which is also a draw liquidity in the opposite direction.
So only in this instance, I will wait for a 15-minute.
So once we have our new five-minute
or 15-minute fair value gap formed,
we will wait for a retrace into this level here.
Now, will we always get a retrace?
No, sometimes we'll miss a trade, and that is okay,
because this is a high-probability trade
with a high win rate, around a 70% win rate at minimum
when you are following all these rules.
Now we move on to step number three,
which is we enter off a one- to three-minute IFEG
targeting DOL, okay?
These are the three steps, okay?
So we wait for a new fair value gap to form.
Let's say we have a five-minute fair value gap right here.
We wait for this fair value gap to form,
drop down to a one- to three-minute timeframe,
and look for a V-shape IFEG, okay?
So an IFEG within three to five candles.
That is going to be our entry trigger stop loss at that low,
and we're gonna be targeting the draw on liquidity.
Guys, that is the entire model.
It's called the continuation model.
Let me show you guys some real-time examples
and exactly what to look for.
So this was one of the trades
that we caught inside of the Discord today.
I've also coded this entire strategy
into its own indicator called the Manipulation X Indicator.
It automatically shows you guys these continuations
when price is delivering
from a higher timeframe fair value gap.
So if you guys wanna follow all of my trades live,
as well as get access to this indicator,
then make sure to click the first link
in the description below.
But for now, I'm just going to turn the indicator off.
Okay, so let's go through this step-by-step, all right?
Now, this can work on any session,
but I trade New York session, okay?
So I trade from around 9.30 a.m. to around 11 a.m. Eastern,
okay?
This is where these setups tend to play out.
Does this strategy work in London and Asian?
Yes, and I'll also show you guys some examples
from last night using this strategy as well.
But this is personally what I trade,
so if you're new to trading or you're still unprofitable,
I'd recommend sticking to one session.
Now, looking at this chart here,
where is my draw on liquidity?
Obviously, my draw on liquidity is higher, okay?
Because we have an all-time high
and we have this perfect equal high here
at the all-time high.
I don't really see a draw on liquidity lower, right?
We're still respecting this higher timeframe
bullish fair value gap.
And even right here, you can see that we are respecting
this one-hour bullish fair value gap.
So there's no reason for me to think
that price can go lower until we see an hourly close
below this bullish one-hour fair value gap.
If we got a closure below,
then I would be looking for continuation shorts
back down to this level.
But until then, we are expanding towards
this draw on liquidity, so I am looking for long positions.
Now, we're gonna pretend like we missed
the first trade of the day, okay?
This is another trade that we called
inside of the group this morning,
but I would consider this more of a reversal
than a continuation model.
So at this point in time, it's around 9.55, right?
Five minutes before 10 a.m.
We've seen that strong push up on NASDAQ
and step number one is now checked off, okay?
Because we are displacing with speed and momentum
towards that draw on liquidity, which is that all-time high.
So I wanna mark this out.
This is our all-time high level.
So this is a level that we're expecting price to reach, okay?
It's very obvious, it's common sense, right?
We're expanding towards this level,
we're breaking structure,
so we know with extremely high conviction
that there is a strong likelihood
of price tapping this level in today's trading session.
Step number two is we wait for a five-minute
or 15-minute fair value gap to form, okay?
If I zoom in here, you can see that we formed
this new five-minute bullish fair value gap, okay?
So one candle, two candle, three candle
with that gap in the middle,
there is our five-minute fair value gap.
Here is where we drop down to a lower timeframe
and all we're looking for at this point, guys,
is a V-shape IFVG to enter the trade
and target that all-time high.
Now, I did say one to three-minute timeframe for entry.
However, if we let price play out on the one minute,
there was no bearish fair value gap to take the trade off of.
Dropping down to a 30-second,
I noticed that we had this very obvious
30-second bearish fair value gap down,
which was my condition.
So as soon as I saw this 30-second bearish fair value gap,
I told you guys in the group,
if we get a candle closure above
within the next few candles, I would go long
and I would be targeting this all-time high
as my take profit, okay?
And then next candle plays out, boom.
Now, take note of this inverse fair value gap, right?
We had a bearish fair value gap down
and instantly we closed back above, right?
So we would call this a V-shape reversal, right?
Literally forming this V-shape on our chart,
showing us that there is strong bullish momentum
because we have a draw on liquidity.
We are delivering from a five minute.
Again, I will not enter a trade
unless we are delivering from a five minute or a 15 minute.
And we see that huge volume candle, right?
A ton of bullish volume, a ton of bullish momentum.
We are bullish, we're right below all-time highs.
This is a no-brainer trade.
Like this setup has probably an 80% win rate.
Don't take my word for it.
You can go and back test this yourself.
So this is where we entered long inside of the group.
Break even as soon as price touches
this most internal structure high.
Now, if this candle closed above
this most internal structure high,
I would not take the trade.
This is the exact close that I want to see
because this is my break-even level.
If price even wicks above, then I will not take this trade
because then price can technically still reverse
and give us a deeper pullback.
But because we closed right below
that internal structure high,
I have a very obvious break-even level
and a very obvious take profit.
So my stop loss was actually a little bit lower
and we let price play out.
Okay, break even on this candle.
And then instantly, guys, goes to take profit.
Boom, done in literally two minutes, guys.
Okay, on this trade.
We'd already won a trade before this,
but we took this trade.
Absolute banger.
Turn on the manipulation X indicator.
Everything I've just shown you is plotted automatically.
Right, there's our five-minute fair value gap.
There's our continuation signal.
There's our IFEG.
Absolute banger trade, guys.
Now let's take a look at one more example
that we got in Asian session last night
because this works in both directions,
long or short.
So let's go step-by-step here.
So step number one,
do we have a draw on liquidity to target?
Because we do have these equal highs right above us,
but look how we are disrespecting bullish order flow.
You can see we have these bullish fair value gaps
that price is closing below,
and we are expanding lower
towards this new weekly opening gap
and this untapped hourly bullish fair value gap
all the way down here.
So we do have draws on liquidity higher.
We also have draws on liquidity lower.
So this is going to be my main DOL.
So step number one is checked off.
Step number two,
we are going to wait for five-minute
or 15-minute fair value gap to form.
In this instance, guys,
we have actually created a bearish
15-minute fair value gap.
There is our three-candle formation
with that bearish fair value gap in the middle.
So even if we are bullish, right,
even if we wanna see price go back up to all-time highs,
we must see a 15-minute candle closure
above this bearish fair value gap.
So until then,
we can expect this bearish fair value gap
to act as resistance and for price to continue lower.
Now, dropping down to a one- to three-minute timeframe,
take a look at how we are displacing down, right,
clear downtrend towards our draw on liquidity lower.
So step number two is checked off,
and step number three is our entry trigger,
which is an IFEG or an inverse fair value gap.
So first, we need to see price tap this level,
which we get that tap right there.
Okay, we have a one-minute bullish fair value gap,
a very obvious bullish fair value gap, right?
This is not like a small fair value gap.
This is a fair value gap that I can see from far away.
I don't have to squint my eyes to see this.
It's a very clear, a very obvious
bullish fair value gap here.
Now, we are going to go anywhere
from the one- to three-minute timeframe for an entry.
We always want to enter on the highest timeframe inverse
on the leg to the upside or to the downside.
So on a three-minute timeframe,
I can see that we formed a three-minute
bullish fair value gap,
which is obviously the highest timeframe fair value gap
between the one- and three-minute timeframe.
So this is the timeframe that I am now planning my trade.
Okay, so now I'm already starting to plan.
If we get a V-shape inversion here,
meaning a candle closure below in one to two candles,
I will enter a short position with my break-even here
at this most internal structure low,
and I can do a full TP here if I want,
or I can target my draw on liquidity lower, right?
So kind of up to you if you want to take partials.
Each trade is going to have its own context,
and boom, right?
Within a few candles, we get that V-shape reversal,
lots of bearish momentum on this trade.
So there is where we enter the trade
on the three-minute timeframe.
Now, this one looks like it would have been
a break-even trade.
Something I like to do, guys,
is wait for a candle closure
below this most internal structure low.
Even though we tapped this level,
my trade thesis isn't invalid just yet
because we didn't see a candle closure below.
So on this candle, I would move my stop-loss to break-even
and probably take majority profit here.
It looks like we got another continuation model
to the downside as well,
delivering from a five-minute bearish gap,
so this is valid,
and looking for an inversion fair value gap, okay?
On this first trade here,
I would never enter off of this huge bearish candle
because we'd already taken out
the most internal structure low, so no trade there.
However, on this candle,
I can see we put in a five-minute inversion,
which is the highest timeframe inversion in the leg.
So here would be my short position
if I were to take this stop-loss at this high,
break-even at this low right here,
and targeting my draw on liquidity.
All right, let's see.
Okay, break-even right here,
at least a TP1 here,
and eventually we end up hitting that full TP, okay?
Draw on liquidity,
five-minute or 15-minute fair value gap delivery,
and then IFEG, V-shape recovery here, right?
Move up, move down within a few candles.
