It's all to you! Okay yes hello everybody welcome back to the channel my name is Alan this is my life in Taiwan and welcome to my UK Christmas trip 2023 and a huge big welcome to my nephew George! You will have seen George in my videos before. George I am 30. And you will have also seen George's mum my sister Lorna in many of my videos before. Yes my sister Lorna is always a barrel of laughs lots of fun and energy when on my channel and she's also a barrel of laughs and energy in the family would you agree? Yes. So in today's video we have a very special plan for my sister Lorna to repay her for all of the hard work and energy she puts in to looking after the family while I'm enjoying my life in Taiwan. If you've been watching my videos for any length of time you will have noticed that I've mentioned several times before I feel a little bit guilty about living in Taiwan while my sister Lorna is running around after the family looking after my mum and dad doing all of the things a filial son should be doing but I'm not here often enough to do it so today it's time to repay my sister Lorna. George what ideas do you have for repaying saying thanks to my sister Lorna? Um she loves flowers so I feel like we should get some flowers. Okay so flowers have been purchased are you happy with them George? Yeah. Happy with your choice. What do you think your mum's gonna say? I think she'll be speechless. That's the plan with this video to surprise Lorna and leave her speechless. I think we can all admit we sometimes don't tell our family members, mothers especially, that they're appreciated. Agree? I agree. But anyway yes where's your mum now? She's getting her hair cut. My sister is currently at the hair salon getting her hair done in time for Christmas so the next plan is to show up at the hair salon surprise my sister Lorna with the flowers pay for her hair and then take her back home where there's an extra special life-changing gift waiting for her. Okay so we're just around the corner from the hair salon. George has the flowers. Yeah. We're gonna walk in surprise Lorna see what she's got to say. How do you feel? Feel good. Feel excited? For you. Wow look at that hairdo. These are for being the best sister, mum and daughter in the world. Wow look at you eh? So were you expecting the flowers at all? No not at all. And there's one more surprise. George is paying for your hair. I've lent him some money. And we've had an extra special delivery to the house, your house. I think you're gonna like it. Jackie's gonna like it. She's gonna love it. George reckons you're gonna absolutely love it. Something you've been asking for for ages. So as soon as Sydney's finished with her hair we'll get in the car and we'll go to the house. Everybody say cheese. Now that explains it. So we're getting close to your house now. We are. George can you please blindfold your mother so we can keep the surprise? God no I don't actually like the surprise. Now that I can't see you're driving that's even worse. Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god I don't like this. It doesn't feel weird. Yeah well yeah it's the fact that A I don't trust your driving and B I don't like not knowing what I'm doing for. I should slam on the brake shouldn't I? No, no, no. Don't you dare. Oh my god. George and Sydney you can be your mum's guy. Oh I don't trust you two. Mind the step, mind the step one. Mind the step, step up, step over. Step on me driveway. We're definitely at my house. Any guesses what the surprise is? Will you? Oh my god you make me cry. Do you reckon we should let her get the blindfold off? Yeah. Okay you two count down three. Two, one. Open your eyes. Oh my god. That's all for me. It's all for you. Oh my god I'm going to be better than that. Oh my god. Wow. Yes after surprising my mum with her own Emma mattress last year this year I went one better for my sister and ordered her a full bedroom suite including their upholstered bed frame, luxury headboard, Emma's new luxe cooling mattress with five zone body support, two memory foam pillows and mattress protector to top it all off. Oh that is amazing. Thank you Emma, thank you. So after being a perfect brother and moving all of the products inside with a little help from my niece and nephew of course. Nice. I took a seat on my sister's current bed where I thought I needed to ask her what the problem was with it. Oh my god. What? Oh yeah. There's nothing there. Oh my god. I did tell you it was like the Grand Canyon. Oh my god. It's like a piece of paper. I told you. This is why I've been asking for a new bed off John for months. Wait is that your arse and that's John's arse? Yeah. What you're going to see now is this bed getting moved out and the Emma bed getting moved in. Yes. Ding, ding, ding. Thumbs up all around let's go. Oh I found a lottery ticket. I just found an old lottery ticket that may be unclaimed. Wait till the end of the video to find out if that's a winner or not. George bring the hoover. Wow that was quick. Okay here it is the Emma bed. It should take roughly 30 minutes to assemble your Emma bed. You ask a friend to help the time will pass much quicker. Nephew do you reckon that counts? Yeah. Oh sugar butties. Sorry mate. Be careful with that knife donut. Okay so we've got everything laid out in front of us. Three minutes into unpacking but we still got 27 minutes to do it. What do you reckon can we do it? Yeah easy. Let's go. Okay so the bed frame is done. Warner and Sydney have to come and get involved. It's good and stay away and now the piece de resistance. Yes it was time to open the Emma mattress. Oh my god how easy is it with that? And after a few minutes it had grown to its full size. Looked absolutely amazing and before I knew it the whole family was enjoying the mattress and reviewing the pillows at first try. These pillows are amazing. But of course the most important review comes a few days later after Lorna and her husband have used the bed. What's your review? Absolutely fabulous. And I haven't told Lorna what to say yet. I'm going to highlight some of the features of the mattress later. What have you noticed? What differences do you have to your old mattress? Oh I don't get up all achy. Okay. I'm not aching first thing in the morning. That's probably due to the five zone back support which really helps to distribute your body weight throughout the mattress and not have any certain points. Yeah pressure points which your old mattress certainly did. Is that your arse and that's John's arse? Yeah because John gets up and goes to work a few hours before obviously we all get up. Yeah. He'd always get up and not add the bed and move in and things. Oh okay. But since we're on the bed I haven't woke up in the middle of the night which is absolutely amazing. It does have motion isolation technology which means that other people getting in and out of the bed is not going to affect you which we can prove now using the old glass of water method. Honestly I said that though. When John gets up out of bed in the morning I don't even wake up anymore. So perfect demonstration of motion isolation there and of course the pillows. How are they different to your old ones? I have got three or four pillows all stacked up together and everything to give my neck the support that I needed but I only need one pillow. Yeah speaking from experience with my pillows they are absolutely incredible and really give you that extra support in the neck meaning you don't need to fold over three or four pillows or try and build a cast of the pillows and they come with removable washable covers and another feature of this Emma Lux cooling mattress that my sister probably hasn't used yet is the cooling technology which helps dissipate heat from away from your body when it's really warm and hot especially in Taiwan. But John likes to be cool in his sleep. Oh okay.
