We've been in Naples for the last couple of weeks and we actually leave to go to the
Keys this weekend, so we only have a couple more days left here in Naples.
So today we're taking our paddle boards to Marco Island and we're going to launch from
there and go to 10,000 Islands.
There's a sandbar there where we can go look for silver dollars and shark teeth and things
like that.
Yeah, it's going to get hot fast.
It took forever to get the beer pump to pump these up.
I know.
It literally takes like, what, 12 minutes each to pump up?
Yeah, by the time you get them both pumped up, it's like 30 minutes.
Taking a quick break on this little sandbar right here before we cross this last channel
over here, because the current through here is pretty strong.
So we did take a little bit of time to walk this little sandbar to find some cool shells
and Tyler found this really big one there and then this one here.
Oh, you kept that one too?
I didn't keep this one yet, but the coolest one, I found a sand dollar.
I've never found a sand dollar on a beach before.
It's our little hole.
Yeah.
Cute.
Let's do it.
Let's hit it.
We made it.
We did.
We did it.
We made it.
Man, that was a freaking workout, dude.
Probably hang out here.
This will be our lunch spot.
We're going to look for some treasures and yeah.
Well, it's 1140, so it's really close to lunchtime.
I'm hungry.
After that paddle, I'm so hungry.
Ready?
Yep.
Oh, wow.
Oh, that is a colorful one.
And then look at that thing.
Oh, yeah.
What is that called?
That's crazy.
They're everywhere.
Look at that.
You've already got a handful.
I just want to find one shark tooth.
Well, we've decided to go back to eat lunch before we get walking too far.
You can just keep going.
Look at that hall there.
I know.
We've only been walking for just a couple of minutes.
Look at all that.
Here's your sandwich.
There's nobody here.
I mean, there's like a couple of people walking, but it's also a Tuesday afternoon.
That's true.
I just always make sure something's not in it.
Yeah.
Nice.
Here.
Wow.
So fun.
Oh, baby.
Oh, she's cute.
Keep her.
Keep that one.
In my mind, I was thinking we'd find like a dozen shark teeth.
But I just haven't seen any of them.
We're probably not here at the right time.
I think you're supposed to come after high tide because, you know, the ocean washes things
away.
So we're also not like digging for anything.
We're just kind of looking.
So, but I want to find one.
What have we got here?
Whoa.
I found a sand dollar.
We each got a sand dollar.
Yeah.
Nice.
Whoa.
Yes.
If we didn't have a dog, we would probably stay here all day.
But we got to get back to Ollie.
So we got to get these kayaks back in the water and paddle back.
It's probably not going to be as hard to paddle this time because we're not fighting the current.
So it'll be like half the time, so.
That's what people kept saying as they were watching us struggle.
Yeah.
Paddling across the bay.
It's way easier going back.
All right.
Let's get these kayaks in the water.
Let's do it.
Arms are going to be so dead tomorrow.
I'm glad it's easier going back this way.
Don't jinx it.
Got keys.
It's hot.
We ran out of water, so we're at a gas station to grab some Gatorades.
And these are probably the most expensive Gatorades I've ever bought in my life.
It was nearly $9 for both of them.
Whoa.
So I'm so thirsty.
I'm crying because I'm so happy.
Okay.
Come on.
Let's go.
No, no, no, no.
Come here, buddy.
Oh, are you happy to see us?
Are you happy?
We are beat.
I don't know how far we paddle boarded today, but.
Over a mile.
But it was like against the wind and the current, so it was some exercise.
We're going to get out of these clothes, and I think we're literally going to lay in bed
until it's time to make dinner.
Yep.
We're not going to do anything the rest of the day.
We've spent the last couple of hours laying in bed.
I've been watching TV.
Tyler's been playing his game.
And we grudgingly got out of bed to make some dinner.
Tyler's doing the dishes.
Days like this when you just want to throw a pizza in the oven.
But a steak dinner.
What are you doing?
Is the steak going?
Are you kidding me?
That's one of those days where it's energy well spent.
We know we're going to sleep like really good tonight.
Yeah.
We're going to sleep like a baby.
And this dinner is going to be really nice.
But we're going to call it a night, and tomorrow get up and do it all over again.
And then we're going to do it all over again the next day.
And then we're going to go to the Keys, and then we're going to have a packed schedule done too.
It's going to be a busy week.
Busy two weeks.
That's how we like it.
Holly, would you like to say anything before we shut it off?
Thanks for making this delicious meal.
Cheers.
