Nicole and I spent six unforgettable days camping and exploring Valdez, Alaska—one of the most incredible places we’ve ever visited.

We set up our hot tent along the coast at Allison Point, rented a boat for three days, and for the first time in our lives, headed out onto the ocean completely on our own. What followed was an adventure we’ll never forget.

We caught salmon, halibut, rockfish, and eventually found ourselves battling some absolute monsters on our final day. We cooked fresh halibut along the coast, explored glaciers and mountains, hiked through the Alaskan wilderness, and experienced an unbelievable amount of wildlife—from brown bears and sea lions to seals and whales out on the ocean.
