Today on the pod, we're talking to Megan, trapeze artist and Scratchers enthusiast.
So, Megan, what do you like about playing Scratchers?
Well, they're easy to play when I'm hanging around.
Okay, like when you're relaxing?
No, like when I'm hanging on the trapeze.
I swing upside down, then do a quadruple somersault, all while playing Scratchers.
Watch this.
Ta-da!
Unbelievable.
I know, right?
Scratchers, from the California Lottery.
A little play can make your day.
Please play responsibly.

The Tim Weisberg Show.
And welcome back in our number three of the program here on Monday morning.
And for those tuning in to hear the City Council President, Ryan Pereira,
he is not going to be joining us this Monday.
He is at the funeral services for War III Councilor Sean Oliver's grandmother,
who passed away last week.
So we extend our condolences out to the Oliver family.
And so Council President Pereira will join us next Monday
to get us caught up on everything going on with the budget hearings and more.
So that means it's you and me this hour.
508-996-0500.
Let's go back to the phones.
Good morning.
You're on WBSM.
Hello.
Good morning, Tim.
How you doing?
Oh, please.
I'm not doing good at all, to be honest with you.
Oh, no.
But that's okay.
I still keep going.
My neck is real bad.
My MRI came back with it severe.
I don't want to get surgery.
So anyway, I wanted to send my condolences to Sean Oliver and also lots of family.
I feel so bad about that because I was just there getting fish in the market.
I love that fish market.
And I love Fathoms.
And he was a great guy.
Hard worker.
You know what I mean?
Yep.
Did a lot for the community.
Sure.
Yeah.
I was shocked when I opened my phone up and saw that.
Here today, gone tomorrow.
You never know.
He was only 66.
Younger than me.
Anyway, something.
Oh, and a poor little boy, too.
That's on the phone.
They're having a fundraiser.
Yes, they had one yesterday at Blue Point.
There is a GoFundMe, an active GoFundMe as well for people that want to donate to that.
I hope it went well for them.
Talking about losing things I can't find.
Yesterday, I looked all day.
I bought a gift card to Riccati for $50 and I can't find it.
I hope I didn't throw it in the garbage.
I was just looking at it about a few weeks ago.
Well, if you if you if you purchase it and you haven't used it, maybe you can reach out to them.
Maybe they have if they keep track of the numbers, they'll know that you didn't use it.
I know I might check it, but I don't know.
I can't.
I only usually put it in two places, a gift card or something like that.
And I just I'm beside myself.
I'm not going to keep looking because you know how that goes.
It drives you crazy.
Right.
It always turns up when you stop looking.
I don't know.
I'm hoping I don't I could if I threw it in the garbage or something, then forget it.
You know, when you get older, you do.
You just, you know, because you're on medication and you're tired and you do things sometimes,
you know what I mean?
And I can't explain it.
You'll see when you get older.
Do you know anybody else complaining of that kind of thing?
I mean, most most folks have something.
There's always something.
But I would I would definitely say, you know, reach out to before you start driving yourself
nuts trying to find it.
I would call Ricardi's later today and just ask them if they can if they can trace it
and issue a new card.
Maybe they can and save you all the all the trouble, you know?
Yeah.
But when I got it, I didn't see you here writing in any book.
No, but if they have a if they have a number on it, they'll know that they sold that number
and that it hasn't been redeemed.
I don't know.
I don't know what their system is.
But if they if that's the way it works, if they keep track of it that way, they'll know
that you haven't you haven't redeemed it.
So, Tim, how did you have a nice weekend?
I did.
Yeah.
Nice, relaxing one.
Celebrated with Stevie's at their birthday party on Friday.
Celebrated very well.
And then Saturday just stayed home and relaxed.
And then yesterday went to the movies.
Oh, yeah.
Would you see that new disclosure day?
What's that about aliens?
Oh, what's the other one about that Mandela thing?
Oh, no, there's not a movie of that.
Mary was just mentioning the Mandela effect.
Oh, talking about that earring.
It must have been one of those tiny posts.
They call it a post on a woman.
There's a wire earring and then there's the post.
It goes close to your ear and they're tiny.
Oh, I'm not sure.
It must have been sort of like that.
I don't know how that could have fell out.
The post kind of stay in pretty good.
You're most likely to lose one with a like a wire.
I don't know.
Maybe maybe it'll turn up somewhere.
Yeah, I don't know what kind it is, though, if it's a gold.
They're going to find the earring and your gift card together somewhere,
somewhere neither.
Neither one of you would either expect.
I thought Council Ferreira was coming on.
That's why I called in like that, because I said, oh,
I won't be able to call for another hour.
No, you want to hang on and you didn't want to.
Well, I mean, it's we got you through.
He's he'll be back with us Monday.
Hey, how's your cat?
Evil.
Still.
Yeah, but he's he's evil.
Less percent of the time now, but still evil.
Oh, all right.
That's your friend sat with me nice and calm for hours on on Saturday.
And, you know, just relax.
And he was all zonked out asleep in my lap and then woke up and bit my arm.
And it doesn't break the skin sometimes.
Oh, my God.
Something's wrong with him.
You're going to get him some psych medicine.
Yeah, he's he's pretty mental.
That's all right.
He's he's adorable.
So that that gets him.
He gets away with a lot of stuff because he's adorable.
All right, Jimmy.
You have a good day.
I'll be listening.
Bye, hon.
Take care.
Five oh eight nine nine six zero five hundred
app chat and open line voicemails on the WBSM app.
We can discuss whatever is on your mind.
Of course, we also talked last week, you know,
we were discussing counselor Oliver and the story that Barry had,
where he said that if he is elected lieutenant governor,
that he plans to hold on to both positions so that he doesn't have to have.
We don't have to have a special election in New Bedford.
And that he's pretty confident that he could get through the year
of holding both positions until the next war three counselor could come in.
The question became, can he legally do that?
Because there's all kinds of different responses,
different bits of information about that from what I could find online.
So I kept doing a deeper dive and I reached out to somebody that knows
a little bit more about this to try and help me get more of a handle on it.
And let me find my notes on this.
Give me a second here.
But basically what we found out is that he can do it,
but there's going to be a lot of restrictions on it.
So the conflict of interest law would not prohibit someone from holding a position
for the state and the city at the same time, but it does impose some restrictions.
So section 20 of the conflict of interest law, with some exceptions,
generally prohibits a municipal employee from simultaneously holding
multiple compensated positions for the same city or town.
That's what came up with war three counselor Henry Busquet.
So because he was receiving a position, because he was a teacher,
he was also receiving council pay.
He had to not receive his council pay while he was a counselor due to this section 20.
Section seven says anybody who is a state employee cannot hold more than
one compensated position for the state.
So obviously with one position being for the city and one being for the state,
that wouldn't necessarily apply.
If someone did hold a city and state position at the same time,
the law would impose some restrictions on them.
So section 23B2 of the law generally prohibits public employees from using
their positions to obtain an unwarranted privilege or benefit for themselves or others.
That means someone could not generally use city resources to do work for the state
and vice versa.
So it would really get very complicated.
So for example, let's just say for example, the state issued him a laptop as the lieutenant
governor.
And I'm sure that that's something that they would do because they want to make sure they
have all the right protections and everything on it.
Then he shouldn't be using that laptop to answer emails from constituents that have
questions for his role as a city councilor, just as an example.
If he's on that laptop, he can't open up the agenda for the upcoming meeting.
All these things could be considered a conflict of interest if somebody was watching it that
closely.
Section four generally prohibits a state employee from acting on behalf of anyone other than
the state on connection to matters involving the state.
And section 17 generally prohibits a municipal employee from acting on behalf of anyone other
than the municipality in matters involving the municipality.
This means a person working for both the state and the city would generally be prohibited
from acting as an agent on behalf of the city in matters in which the state is a party and
vice versa.
So that's where it might get really, really confusing and really conflicting is maybe
for the entire budget process.
He would have to take himself out because he would be representing the city in looking
for these funds and deciding what the budget is for the city while also being an office
holder of the state who doles out those funds.
So again, so there's no overarching thing that you can point and say, yes, this says
that you can't do it.
But there's all these other things that are gonna come up that says, would it be worth
it?
And as I said, the last time there was a special election in war three, the estimated cost
then was between $8,000 and $15,000.
So let's say that's even gone up a little bit since then.
Let's say it costs $20,000.
And I know that the city is $32 million deficit and money is tight.
But is $20,000 an acceptable thing to say rather than seeing somebody stretch this out
and stretch themselves in two different ways?
And also have these conflicts that might limit the effectiveness of a counselor.
Would that be worth it to just have the special election?
I think it's admirable that Councilor Oliver says he wants to do both so that it doesn't
trigger a special election.
But I think that there's a reason why the precedent is that the person who has an office
resigns that office.
508-996-0500.
Good morning, you're on WBSN.
Hey, how's it going?
Good, how you doing?
You know the old saying, it's not who you know, it's who you are.
And we all remember George Rogers.
He got paid for multiple offices at the same time.
Three, I think, to be honest with you.
But that was a little bit different because as a state rep, you're represented by a district.
And it's not considered that statewide office.
So it wasn't like apples to apples in the comparison.
Wasn't he a teacher as well?
Yes.
But the whole thing about that is, I actually thought that it was kind of ridiculous that
they wouldn't just give Henry Bousquet the city council money because he was doing the job.
Yeah, I thought so too.
I thought so too.
Because people got away with lying about his address for over a year and a half and got
paid for two different jobs.
And I mean, look at our city council president.
He's lying about his address.
Well, but even-
Certain laws only apply to certain people.
Even not with whataboutism, I would say that just doing the job means you should be compensated
for the job.
He wasn't doing less of a job for the counselor or for the school.
So you should be compensated as such.
No, I agree 100%.
But he's a Republican, and the Democrats didn't like that.
So they punished him, unlike Rogers where-
Just to clarify-
He was a Democrat.
Just to clarify too, if you are getting paid from both, you should be recusing yourself
from voting in situations pertaining to the school, which then you say, well, is that
worth it to have a counselor that can't vote on the school budget?
You know what I mean?
Although different schools, so.
No, I get it, I get it 100%.
I mean, if everything is already open and done in open meetings, I don't see a problem.
I mean, if things start going to executive sessions and stuff like that, that's when
I'm wary about what they're doing.
I also think it says something, Carlos, that trying to get answers on this from the various
people involved in the state and also trying to find the information in the state documents,
it shows that this is something that probably just shouldn't happen because there is not
a precedent to point to it and say, yes, this is the way to navigate it.
So to me, it seems like it's just too big of a risk to take.
No doubt, no doubt.
I think when it comes to the Ward 3 City Council, I think he'd probably finish off his, if he
was to win, and I hope he does, he would just finish off the rest of his term.
I don't think he would remain.
It's not like I had a discussion with him, I'm not saying that, but I don't think he
would remain.
Yeah, that's what he said.
He would just finish off that term so that there wouldn't be a special election.
But that would be a whole year of trying to do two jobs.
Well, then-
Yeah, he can handle it, come on.
But then he wouldn't really, so based on this information here about conflicts-
Look what we have up there now.
Look at what they're doing to the state now.
A monkey could do better.
But then based on these conflicts, that would mean that during the budget season, he should
recuse himself from all budget discussions.
Because as an executive in the state, he's the one that grants that budget.
So if that's the case, what is he there for if the biggest job that a counselor does,
he can't do any of it?
Right, I mean, the way the city votes for these things anyway, I don't think it'd be
a big detriment to the city.
Of course, we have that democratic infection in this area.
Well, and then also too, it's not just about doing the job too.
It's about what will other people think about that?
I mean, are we gonna have people that are out in Western Mass that are challenging everything
that he does because they're saying it's a conflict for him to do this?
Does that just create unnecessary impediments to doing either job?
Yeah, that's an argument.
That's an argument for sure.
The bottom line is-
I have confidence in the guy.
Oh, and I honestly think he would try his hardest to be able to do both of those jobs
effectively and could navigate avoiding those conflicts.
But would $15,000 on a special election be worth not having to go through all that?
I think probably.
Yeah, just look at some of the councils we have now.
They're just basically a waste of space anyway.
So they don't get anything done.
They're just basically paperweight sitting there collecting a check.
So what's one more, right?
All right, fair enough.
I'm sorry.
No, no, you have a good day.
Take it easy.
Have a good one.
All right, let's take another call here before I got to go to the break.
Good morning.
You're next on WBSN.
Good morning, Tim.
Morning.
You saw the movie Disclosure Day yesterday.
I plan to see it this week.
Tell me, how was it?
I enjoyed it.
My review of it that I posted online was it's not a perfect movie,
but it's a pretty perfect-
it's a close to perfect movie for people that have studied ufology.
And it's an absolutely perfect movie for people who have been
what they consider to be experiencers or contactees.
Okay, very good.
Were the aliens friendly?
I'm going to not say anything about that because I don't want to give any spoilers.
Okay, all right.
But you do recommend it.
It was pretty good.
It was.
I mean, again, I'm coming into this with a knowledge base of
the things that they're talking about in the film.
So I don't know if it's going to be too much info coming too fast
for the person that isn't as well versed on it.
Okay.
Now, the last movie I saw was Michael.
Did you see that one about Michael Jackson?
I did not get a chance to go see that in the theater.
Okay.
I thought it was sensational.
I mean, he had him down pat.
I've heard great things.
Yeah, I don't think you'll ever be heard from again.
Jermaine Jackson's son.
But I mean, he had-
I mean, the steps you would-
it was just like Michael Jackson.
I'm telling you.
He spoke everything.
It was just wow.
I know it's on on-demand now and you can pay for it at home,
but I'm sure it'll be on streaming.
You know, one of my streaming services pretty quickly,
and then I'll get a chance to see it.
You're right.
And the father, really, he was not a nice person, let's just say.
That seems to be the way that it went.
That is it.
Have a good one, Tim.
All right.
Take it easy.
All right.

We do have a new contest for you.
We're giving away tickets to see The Black Crows.
You can check that out at WBSM.com or on the app.
It's brought to you by Stevie's Wine and Spirits.
And we will also have our Red, White, and You contest launch a little bit later on today.
Our new photo contest.
Your chance to win a $250 Amazon card just by posting your most patriotic photo.
So that's coming your way.
We'll have that up later on today.
Also, I was telling you that there's a new initiative at Rewind that I wanted to let
you know about.
Rewind Restaurant and Arcade in Wareham.
And now that they're getting settled, and now that they're getting into the groove of things,
they only opened a little over a month ago.
So for them, it was a matter of we've got to figure out how things are going to work.
But now that they've got things going, they've now introduced weekly specials.
So you can go and try weekly specials like the Truffle Shuffle, Alf's Alfredo Pizza,
Marsala Attacks, the Double Dragon Stir Fry, the Bubba Gump Po' Boy,
plus a bunch of drink specials as well.
And I love the fact that they come up with all these great 80s and 90s names for everything.
But also, they have decided that Mondays are going to be mission Mondays.
So Mondays at Rewind, every Monday, veterans, active military, and first responders enjoy
free arcaded mission with purchase of any food or drink.
So if you are a first responder, if you are a veteran, if you are active military,
you just have to go there and let them know, show them proof,
and you are going to be playing for free with the purchase of any drink or food purchase.
And unlike the free play Friday, where it's during lunch hours and it's limited,
this is throughout the entire day of Monday.
And Rewind is open 3 to 11 on Mondays, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
So if you want to go and experience the arcade for yourself,
and you want to go and take part in this great promotion,
just make sure you bring your valid identification that shows that you're a veteran, active military,
or first responder.
And you're going to get free arcade admission with the purchase of any food or drink.
It's mission Mondays at Rewind.
And of course, for everybody else, you can just pay to enter the arcade, one price,
and you get to play all you want for that one price.
Every game is set to free play, no quarters necessary.
All right, let me get my break in here.
Then we'll come back and get the news, 508-996-0500.
We will be back in a few moments.
Hear that?
That's the sound of busy.
To a restaurant, all that shouting and banging might as well be a symphony.
It means the long days and longer nights are paying off.
Sure, it's noisy, but there's a worse sound.
This, not busy.
Busy means business, which is why Toast gives restaurants the tools and tech they need
to help them perform under pressure.
Sounds pretty good, right?
Toast, built for busy.

A man killed in Brooklyn, a measles outbreak in California,
and President Trump's name comes off the Kennedy Center.
From the Cottage Street Motors WBSM Newsroom, this is WBSM News.
A man was shot dead in Brooklyn on Saturday night.
Police say 44-year-old Emmanuel Spencer was hit with multiple bullets outside 101
Lincoln Road in Prospect Lefferts Garden.
He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Citizen video shows a large crowd of people in the area after the shooting.
The NYPD says it's unclear whether the shooting
stemmed from a dispute over the Knicks first game.
They're investigating.
No arrests yet.
I'm Sarah Lee Kessler.
President Trump's name is no longer on the Kennedy Center.
An official at the center told a federal judge that all references to Trump inside,
outside, and on its website have been removed in compliance with the court's order.
This woman in the nation's capital called it a necessary move.
And it feels like a step in the right direction
for restoring the U.S. to what we've always known it to be.
Crews began removing the lettering from the building before dawn on Saturday,
six months after a board, handpicked by the president,
approved adding his name to the iconic performing arts venue.
The change comes after an appeals court denied the Kennedy Center's request for a pause on Friday.
California health officials have put out a measles warning over the weekend.
They say an infected person traveled through San Francisco International Airport this week
and went to two markets in San Jose.
The public health department in Santa Clara County recommending that any
unvaccinated people who may have been exposed should quarantine.
California has seen 49 cases of the measles this year so far,
with just one last month in Los Angeles.
Measles cases have led to three hospitalizations so far in 2026.
Californians apparently have a lot of credit card debt.
California is seven of the top 10 cities in the U.S.
when it comes to the amount households owe on their cards.
That from a report this week by WalletHub.
Santa Clarita is number one with an average balance of over 23 grand.
Chula Vista is in second place.
Rancho Cucamonga is fifth.
Fontana, Oxnard, Moreno Valley and Santa Ana also make the top 10.
WalletHub says Santa Clarita was also number one for paying off the most debt
during the first quarter of 2026,
meaning people there have big credit card limits and can afford to spend a lot.

An on-air surprise Friday from WABC-TV Channel 7's 6 p.m. anchor Bill Ritter.
After a series of tests, my doctors have told me I have Alzheimer's.
Ritter, who is 76, has anchored for WABC since 2001.
He had anchored Eyewitness News at 5 and 10 p.m. until last year,
but he had stayed on the 6 p.m. desk.
Unless someone finds an amazing cure, and really soon,
tonight will be the last newscast I anchor.

Ritter says he'll stay with the station as it focuses more on Alzheimer's,
and he signed on for the final time like this.
I wish you health and peace, and let's take care of each other.

The CDC says drinking alcohol during pregnancy has been rising in recent years.
CDC data shows groups like unmarried women and women in frequent distress
are more likely to drink while pregnant.
A survey found that over 15% of pregnant women reported drinking in the past 30 days,
while nearly 5% reported binge drinking and 2% reported heavy drinking.
The CDC's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report
noted that among pregnant women who reported current drinking,
over 33% reported binge drinking, over 14% reported heavy drinking.
The report notes the findings reinforce the importance of
integrating behavioral health screening treatment and other support into prenatal care.
A new study suggests a brain chemical deficiency may be why some teenagers
are inclined to do dumb things.
Researchers reported in the journal Nature Communications
risk-taking teens might be compensating for low levels of dopamine in their brains.
The study's lead author from the University of Pittsburgh says
the results show that for some teens,
risk-taking may act as a way to get the system going when dopamine is low.
The study found that teens who had lower levels of dopamine
were most likely to try substances like weed or alcohol
as the teens in the study got older,
their dopamine systems matured and the substance use tended to decrease.

All right, 508-996-0500 is my number.
We've been talking about a number of different things this morning,
and Chris McCarthy is going to have some more info for you coming up
on the Sean Oliver run for Lieutenant Governor.
Because as you know, there's been a whole bunch of stuff
that's been going on with that office on the Republican side of things.
With whether or not people had enough certified signatures
and who and whether or not they were properly collected for them.
Oh my gosh.
And I said this to Chris last week.
I said, you know, all I wanted was for the Republican Party
to be able to put forth a candidate that would be a good solid strong candidate
and that we could have a real battle here.
Because I think if any time, you know, a governor was ripe for being ousted,
it would be more healy at this time.
I think there's a lot of people that are saying,
I'd rather take the chance with whichever of these guys emerges from the Republican side
than continue on with more of this.
I haven't seen enough from either of them to make me say, yes, I'll choose them over her.
I mean, we'll see.
There's a lot of time left.
But the real, I mean, as much as there's been intrigue at the top of that ticket
between, you know, Brian Shortsleeve is just not giving up
despite the fact that the Minogue camp wants him to.
In fact, Shortsleeve is having a press conference today.
I'm sorry, tomorrow.
Today's Monday.
He's gonna be holding a press conference tomorrow at 10.30am outside the State House
to discuss a significant development in his ongoing efforts
to bring greater accountability and transparency to Beacon Hill.
So he's not going away.
He's become more aggressive in recent weeks.
And others might feel, well, it kind of looks like Mike Minogue is taking it for granted
that he's trying to coast here to the nomination.
Well, to the primary.
He got the nomination, but to the primary.
And then, really, that's when it's anybody's game.
Between now and then, it's not about who's gonna.
So you know that Mike Minogue has the Republican support based on the convention.
And that's, by the way, not all of the Republican voters in Massachusetts,
just representatives of them.
But who's gonna speak more to the people that are in the middle?
Who's gonna speak more to the unenrolled?
Who's gonna speak more to the Democrats that just don't want more of Maura Healey?
And I think that's where short sleeve feels like he has this path to victory.
So it's gonna be very interesting to watch as we go on.
But as much as there's been intrigue there,
the lieutenant governor race has also been pretty intriguing.
And I'll let Chris explain these developments that he found.
Don't wanna jump his gun.
So you wanna stay tuned for that, cuz it's gonna be very interesting.
For those of you who think, yeah, okay, Tim can talk all he wants about whether or not
Sean Oliver can hold two offices, and if there's a conflict or not.
Because it's not gonna happen.
He's not gonna win.
He's sided with the guy who has no chance.
Well, first of all, I would not say that Brian Short Sleeve has no chance.
And also, I would say, stay tuned for Chris McCarthy's gonna be talking about with you
coming up.

Gotta get one more break.
Well, no, I got two breaks.
So let me do the first one now, and we'll be back in a few moments.
Today on the pod, we're talking to Joan, a method actor and Scratchers enthusiast.
So, Joan, what do you like about playing Scratchers?
Well, as a method actor, it's about becoming the ticket.
Scratching up, down, stage left, stage right.
So what's your motivation?
Because your performance feels so real.
Oh, I was just tapping into my inner Scratchers.
Incredible.
Yes, bravo me.
Scratchers, from the California Lottery.
A little play can make your day.
Please play responsibly.

Ugh, another phishing message.
Are you frustrated by these two?
So much of our lives are online today.
To make sure my information is protected, I checked out CISA's Secure Our World resources.
They've got four simple ways we can stay safe online.
First, learn to recognize and report phishing.
Next, create a strong, unique password for each online account.
And use a password manager if you can.
Then turn on multi-factor authentication for extra security,
and you'll receive a code when logging in.
And finally, turn on automatic software updates for convenience and safety.

How's Tommy doing now?
Much better.
You said it was asthma?
Yeah, he started with this cough, and then he was wheezing.
That's terrifying.
Doctors said hidden triggers can make it worse.
Things like dust, mold, and even pests.
Pests?
Yeah, droppings and allergens from cockroaches and rodents
can seriously impact children with asthma or allergies.
I had no idea.
We're making sure our home stays pest-free.
Don't let pests put your family's health at risk.

We did announce that we have a new contest for you today.
That being the Black Crows.
This Friday at Xfinity Center.
And because of the short time frame,
we're going to select all of our winners by Wednesday.
So you want to get your name and information
by the end of the program on Wednesday.
And that's when we'll select our final winner.
But if you want to win tickets to that show,
they're also going to be performing with Whiskey Myers and Southall.
And it's this Friday at Xfinity Center.
And I've seen the Black Crows live.
They put on a phenomenal show.
Looking forward to this one as well.
And these are pretty good seats too.
I was checking it out.
A lot of the seats that we get tickets to,
we're getting some really phenomenal seats this year.
So the people who are going to bleachers tonight.
I'm sorry, tomorrow night.
It's Monday, not Tuesday.
Keep getting confused.
But the people who are going to bleachers tomorrow night,
check your email.
Because a couple more folks still haven't reached out to say
that they got the information and they signed the paperwork.
But if you're going to that show,
you got general admission floor seats.
So you're right down front.
The earlier you get there, the better.
I was going to go to that show too.
Because they put on such a phenomenal show.
But I just, I can't see myself leaving Boston at 11 o'clock.
And after standing up for two hours, three hours,
and then coming back here and getting up at 4 a.m.
and doing the show.
I would be a mess.
As much as I would love to see bleachers again,
I just couldn't do it.
But if you'd like to get tickets,
they are still available at ticketmaster.com.
But those are great seats to get general admission floor.
We also have for the Black Rose,
you're going to be underneath the shed there,
underneath the pavilion at Xfinity Center.
And then we've got tickets coming up to give away to Santana
and Doobie Brothers playing together,
plus a whole bunch more.
And Jackson, who secures all these tickets for us,
is getting even more by the day.
So if you are a fan of live music,
this is the summer for you.
And you can enter at WBSM.com,
the WBSM app brought to you by Stevie's Wine and Spirits
in Fairhaven, home of the Purple Dot,
where you can try before you buy.
Also, we will have the Red, White and You photo contest
going for you very soon.
I just, I had a little trouble
with the entry form portion of the post.
So once I get that all squared away,
then we'll get that live and ready for you to enter.
We're just looking for your most patriotic photo,
whether it's you dressed up, the kids dressed up,
the pet dressed up, or maybe you decorated your home.
And it doesn't have to be right now.
It could be like a past Independence Day celebration.
Maybe last 4th of July, you did up the house
and you wanna share that photo, whatever it is.
We're gonna collect all the photos
and then turn it over to the audience to vote.
And we'll announce our winner
on America's birthday, July 4th.
And the winner, because it is America's 250th,
the winner is gonna get a $250 Amazon gift card.
So what better way to celebrate America
than to spend money, right?
Especially when it's the summertime
and that money could come in handy.
You know what I think the winner
would probably end up using that for?
If they have kids, they're gonna save that money
and use that for back to school supplies.
Hey, I don't judge.
I don't judge at all.
But I would also say, keep your eyes peeled
to WBSM.com too, because we always launch
a back to school contest as well,
where you can earn some money.
That way.
If you don't go to our contest page,
you're missing out, because it's not just the ones
that I talk about here on the show.
There's other stuff that we do as well.
All kinds of great giveaways.
So that's why you wanna make sure
you have the WBSM app on your phone
or that you're frequently checking WBSM.com
throughout the day.
It's not just about all of our great stories
and our shows and our podcasts,
but so many contests as well.
One thing I'm gonna keep pushing for,
more contests, because you deserve
to be rewarded for all of the loyal listening
that you do to WBSM.
508-996-0500.
Let me get my final break into the morning.
We'll get ready to turn things over
to Chris McCarthy and Southcoast now.
Stick around, back in a few.
There are two types of business owners,
those who are busy and those who want to be busy.
Toast is designed for both,
with tools to keep you humming
and help turn grind into growth.
That's how you turn busy into business.
