New York City celebrates Knicks NBA Finals victory with ticker-tape parade

You know, I love a parade right now, a massive ticker tape parade is getting underway to honor the New York Knicks NBA championship. I mean, just what a nail biter at the end of that game. Fifty three years in the making. I guess they deserve it. Yes, we're not bitter at all, but we are taking a live look at the festivities. Officials say this could be the biggest parade the city has ever seen, as millions of fans are flooding the streets of Manhattan. You can already see them. They're all excited. The parade will end at City Hall. And of course, some fans are wearing Villanova jerseys to honor the three Nova alums on the team, including star Jalen Brunson. Yeah. And of course, Josh Hart, Mikkel Bridges are our Nova Knicks. Well represented. And look at the crowds. The NYPD also deployed more than 10,000 officers, the most ever assigned to any planned event. And listen, this is Manhattan we're talking about. So if the NYPD is like, this is the biggest that we've gone for an event, you know, this is going to be a huge day in the city. The Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs in Game five of the NBA Finals last week to win their first championship again in 53 years. For so many people in this crowd, this is the first in their lifetime. Yeah. People are flying in from all over. Longtime Knicks fan saying we have to be in New York for the celebration. You know, you got it. And, you know, Alicia Keys out there with the Empire State of Mind, of course, New York's anthem. We're happy for them. Yeah.
