Alysa Liu | Championship Women Free Skate | 2026 Prevagen U.S. Figure Skating Championships

Our next competitor represents Saint-Laurent's Ice Skating Club. Here is Alyssa Liu. This is a new free skate for her, reworked from earlier this season. Up with her triple flip. Combination up next. Triple Lutz. Triple Toe. Her combination. Lutz. Double Axel. Double Toe. Great music. Here triple flip. Final jump. Double Axel. And she does it. And there's something about... That's a fun move right there. Was exactly what she needed to do. She's an athlete who does actually have a lot of wiggle room here. But she opened up with this triple flip. I mean, we're going to go through all of these elements. And I'm just going to say that was great. That was amazing. That was beyond phenomenal. Because it was. She's so chill. She's so calm. But that's what really makes her stand out under pressure. She never seems bothered by what's at stake. She just checks off all of her elements. Moment by moment. So proud of what she was putting out on this ice. For this to be a new program that really hasn't been tested. I mean, Ben, that's insane. It is insane to come into the U.S. Championships. After performing last year's free skate all through the Grand Prix. She has all that practice. And it was in her body. Like such a special program in its own right. You can tell it's new, but it's fresh. And I cannot wait to see what she will have in another few weeks of training this. Oh, it's going to be spectacular. The scores, please. For Alyssa Liu. And the score for Alyssa Liu's free skate performance. 147.80. A new season's best. And the total score, 228.91. She's currently in first place. And Alyssa Liu has secured at least a silver medal. And undoubtedly a trip to the Olympic Games.
