Their journey covers iconic landmarks, diverse culinary experiences from hawker centers to hotel buffets, and shopping excursions through Orchard Road, Chinatown, and Haji Lane, while providing practical tips on connectivity and transportation.
Alright guys, welcome to a new video.
Today we are back in Singapore.
I love Singapore.
Singapore is one of the most expensive cities in the world.
It's good, huh?
The flavors are insane.
Oh my gosh, that is a 10 out of 10.
It's a crime to come to Singapore and not try this place.
There's so many things here that you can get.
Lots of souvenirs, lots of clothes, lots of food.
Oh yeah, buddy.
Life is good right now.
Alright, so we're currently here now at our hotel.
We're staying at Concord Hotel on Orchard Road.
So, great location.
Let's check in.
A room tour.
Whoa, wow, this is big.
This is nice.
Alright, let's check out the view.
Damn!
Man, I love how Singapore is such a green city.
Just surrounded by trees.
It's beautiful out here.
It's good to be back.
I love Singapore.
We're currently here at our first stop of today which is Merlion Park.
Yeah, in all the times that we've been to Singapore,
we've never been to Merlion Park.
I know, that's so funny.
This is like an iconic spot here in Singapore.
The first thing you do on your itinerary.
But for some reason, we've never done it.
I think this is just a lie-in for us, but we'll see.
We'll see.
I mean, the surrounding area is so beautiful.
It's a nice stroll.
Let's go see what the hype is all about.
Alright, we're walking to the iconic lion now.
Are you going to do that pose where you open your mouth?
No, you will.
It's actually really nice in this area.
It's funny how we haven't been here before.
Yeah, and I actually recommend it because it's very walking distance from everything else.
So we started off here and then we're just going to walk to dinner.
There's a bunch of hawker centers.
This is also walking distance to Clark Key which is really iconic here.
So yeah, really great place to start your day.
I came here for one thing.
That is this lion right here.
Let's check it out.
Alright, babe.
Open your mouth.
You're kind of far.
Go this way.
I said open your mouth.
Just go on the bridge.
So this is our fourth time down here in Singapore and we've finally seen the lion.
Worth it?
Yeah.
It's nice.
Actually, it's very scenic around the area.
It's not just the lion here.
Alright, next spot?
Yeah.
Dinner.
Let's go.
Time to eat.
Man, what I love about this city, it's so green.
There's so many trees even though it's such a modern city.
Yeah, it's kind of like an urban jungle here in Singapore.
Oh, look at this.
What?
We're in the wild.
We're in the wild right now.
That's dangerous.
Extensive cities in the world like to save is by eating at hawker centers.
So we're now here at Lau Pa Sat which is a pretty popular hawker center in the city.
It has over 80 stalls and honestly, if you want some authentic cuisine here in Singapore,
the hawker centers are the way to go.
And to add to that, it's way more cheaper than going to a restaurant.
So let's go see what they have because we're starving.
Let's go.
Alright, the only thing about hawker centers is that it's so overwhelming.
Just so many stalls and you don't really know where to start.
Apparently, look in scouting on what's good.
Okay, number five.
Yes.
How small?
So I didn't know that apparently, this is one of the best stalls that you can eat at
here at the hawker center.
We didn't even know that it was one of the best stalls.
We just kind of followed where the line is or where the locals were going.
And yeah, if you want to know where the best foods are, definitely follow the locals.
Alright, we got our starters.
We got some laksa, some fried noodles and coconut for refreshment
because it is mad humid out right now.
It's so hot.
And also got sugarcane juice.
So my favorite food, honestly, from Singapore is their laksa.
So I can't wait to have it here once again.
Oh, that tastes like lemonade.
Yeah, it's sugarcane with lemon.
It says fresh sugarcane for $16.
$16?
$16.
That's not worth it.
But why?
Like add lemon and then it's $3.
What?
I mean, you could barely taste the sugarcane.
It just tastes like lemonade.
What do you want to try first?
This is like Ann's favorite too.
Yeah, I love this.
Look at the color on that.
It looks so good.
It's actually really good.
You like that?
Out of 10?
It's like an 8.
Oh, that's pretty high.
8 or 9.
Alright, let's try the laksa.
Apparently, this is one of the best laksa here at this hawker center, if not the best one.
My favorite is definitely the broth.
Oh, I missed that.
For some reason, they don't have chopsticks.
I love Singapore.
So laksa's pretty good.
I give it like a 7 out of 10.
I've had better laksa here in Singapore, for sure.
It's still good, but it's just a bit bland.
Wash it down with some coconut.
Oh yeah, buddy.
Time is good right now.
Another one.
Alright, we got some Hainanese chicken.
Looks so good.
So this one is roasted and this one is steamed.
Oh, okay.
Yeah.
It's good.
There's dessert right here.
Alright, so we got some wonton noodles.
Give it like a 6.5 out of 10.
The soup is good though.
Yeah, the soup.
The wonton noodle soup is yummy though.
Alright, so for dessert, we're gonna get some munchie pancakes.
Guys, look at all the flavors.
They got biscoff.
They got red bean.
They got charcoal black sesame.
Charcoal peanut.
Oh my gosh.
I'm curious about this charcoal peanut.
Oh my goodness.
How is it?
That is so yummy.
This is amazing.
Yeah, we also got this.
She recommended to pair it with soy milk.
Try.
See if you like it.
Wow, the best thing we ate today.
Really?
This one?
Damn, this thing is black.
You can barely see it.
The black one.
Oh.
Now follow it up with this.
Soy milk.
Bloody hell, you're right.
This thing is good.
It's such a good combo.
Oh my god, it's so refreshing.
It's not sweet as well.
It's like the perfect combo.
Put it in your mouth together like Remy did.
There's fireworks behind it, guys.
Bro, this is a 10 out of 10.
This is yummy.

Now back to the vlog.
All right, we're walking to our next spot now, which is Super Tree Grove.
We haven't been there in a couple of years.
It's two kilometers away from the Hawker Center, but we're gonna walk it.
Because we are so full.
And walking around the city, it feels so safe.
And the lights are just so beautiful.
Scenery is just so beautiful here.
Yeah, and there's just so many trees, like we said earlier.
One of the first things, it's such a small detail,
but one of the first things I was admiring
on our drive to the hotel from the airport was the trees.
Yeah, I know.
It's just like, it's so hard to miss.
So many trees, and they're all so beautiful.
Yeah, I love Singapore.
Especially at night, everything's just lit up.
And yeah, the vibe overall is a 10 out of 10.
All right, we didn't realize that we can cut through Marina Bay Sands Mall.
It's like a shopping area.
Go check it out.
It's nice in here.
Gentle Monster.
I just want to look.
Ann's been wanting to buy these sunglasses.
You want to check it out?
Yeah, sure.
We're here.
I'll buy it for you.
Come on, I'll buy it for you.
Did that thing just move?
Yeah.
That is creepy.
Oh my gosh, look at the hair.
The eyebrows look legit.
What does this have to do with glasses?
Ooh, that looks really nice on you, babe.
Damn, who's that?
Is that my wife?
Look at this, guys.
They're like folds.
Travel friendly.
I think we need it.
Look at this.
Yeah, it's a traveler's set.
What the heck?
Okay, that's trippy.
All right, the one Ann wanted is out of stock.
Man, Singapore just building anything they want.
What is this supposed to be for?
It's for amusement.
Looks like a toilet brush.
What'd you get?
This is a strawberry cone.
Strawberry ice cream cone from McDonald's.
And then they also have a pistachio Oreo McFlurry.
Very authentic Singaporean dessert.
The strawberry is actually very flavorful.
Starting now.
We're late because Ann wanted McDonald's.
All right, guys.
Good morning.
Another beautiful day here in Singapore.
Before we explore today, we're actually gonna check out a restaurant that's in our hotel.
Apparently, they offer a lunch buffet that we need to check out.
The restaurant is called Spices Cafe.
So let's see what they have.
Let's go.
All right, we're here now at Spices Cafe.
So many varieties.
So cool.
Excited to eat.
First things first, I'm gonna get some laksa.
All right, I got a little bit of everything on my plate.
Look at that.
Let me give this laksa a go first.
Oh my gosh.
Look at that.
Oh my.
Look how creamy that is.
Oh yeah.
Oh my gosh.
That is a 10 out of 10.
Best laksa I've had.
All right, so the buffet so far.
Delicious.
I think my favorite so far was the laksa.
And this one right here, it's called popiah.
So it's a Singaporean spring roll.
It's so freaking delicious.
All right, so we're starting our morning here at Helu Coffee.
And it's located in Central Square, which houses cafes, bars, and lots of restaurants.
We got the goods.
What'd you get, baby?
I got the matcha cream, which is the drink that everyone seems to be getting.
And then coconut cream on top.
All right, let's try the hype.
Yours looks so good.
Cheers.
Second day in Singapore.
Bloody hell.
Oh wow.
It's so good.
Try mine.
It's not too sweet.
That's like proper matcha.
Yeah, worth the hype.
That's good.
That's delicious.
Worth the wait.
Delicious.
Give it a go if you're here.
What are you doing?
I wish I could have a whole glass of this cream because it's so good.
Right now, we're heading to Chinatown.
It's only nine minutes away from Central Square, where we got our matcha.
So we made it to Chinatown.
Man, it is so hot.
Oh my goodness.
Every time we come to Singapore, it's so hot.
But then again, we choose the summer months.
It's June right now, and I am sweating balls everywhere.
I think I said that too loud, but it's just so humid.
Oh my goodness.
For your soy sauce at home?
Hope he likes smoking.
So Chinatown is definitely a place to go if you want to buy souvenirs.
Yeah, little trinkets and stuff.
Yeah, they got all kinds of souvenirs here that you can bring home.
Man, they really love their durians here.
They have gelato.
Should we try it?
I hate durian, though.
Last time I had it, I almost puked.
But you love gelato.
I love gelato, though.
Pennsylvania.
Damn, $30?
No thanks.
We're here now at our favorite hawker center.
Yeah, this one beats all the hawker centers we've been to.
Non-spicy?
Non-spicy.
Yeah, no.
Okay, just one.
Thank you.
All right, so we got braised duck with yam rice.
We've actually never tried this before, even though we've been to this hawker center like
twice now.
But apparently it's a must-try.
Let's give it a go.
Look at this.
And Ann loves sticky rice.
I love sticky rice, yeah.
The big reveal.
Oh, there's the braised duck.
Oh my gosh, smells amazing.
That's very sticky, but the flavor of the duck, it's really good.
Oh, that's kind of hard.
This is the stickiest sticky rice I've ever had.
It's good, huh?
The flavors are insane.
Look at that, though.
Delicious?
Yeah, I like that.
So we're here now at Orchard Road, which is the best shopping and entertainment district
of Singapore.
In this area alone, there are so many shopping malls.
If you guys are looking for a really great place to shop, it's like a one-stop shop,
definitely Orchard Road.
I feel like you can spend the whole day here and not be done.
All right, let's go spend some money.
So we were walking around.
What'd you get?
I got the white, iced white.
How much was the coffee?
Six dollars.
It's like every other coffee nowadays.
See the hype?
It's just white, though.
But you can taste the beans for sure.
This is my kind of coffee, strong and very flavorful.
Yeah, the beans.
All right, for lunch, we're eating here at this Bok Hin restaurant, Mei.
So for lunch, we're here at Bok Hin restaurant.
They're known for their roasted meats.
We got some roasted pork, duck, and some char siu.
And over here, we got some wonton soup and these vegetables.
It looks so good.
I'm starving, so let's eat.
Let's give it a go.
I'm good.
Let's hit the spot right now.
I think this is my favorite meal so far.
Yeah, it's really good.
You know it's good when we killed it.
That was really good.
Yeah, definitely check it out.
Thumbs up.
So we're starting our day off here at Nylon Coffee,
supposedly one of the best coffee spots here in Singapore.
We were gonna go to Apartment Coffee.
Apparently, it's really good there, although there are some mixed reviews.
So we decided to come here because this is where all the locals go.
I can definitely attest to it being very local.
We're like in the middle of an apartment complex.
Yeah, honestly, it was kind of hard to find at first.
So many people here.
This place has like over 2,000 reviews.
All right, let's try this coffee.
See if the hype is real.
Cheers.
That's good.
Very tasty.
I like it.
It's good.
I feel like if it had a little bit more taste of the beans,
like a little bit stronger, it would be like a 10 out of 10.
All right, it's about to rain.
Oh, damn.
Look at that though.
Someone get your laundry up there.
Where are we going to now?
I've been wanting to go to this boutique store.
It's a local boutique that I missed out on yesterday.
I completely forgot.
So it's just a five-minute walk to the boutique and then we can start our day.
It's really pretty here, eh?
Yeah, I love the buildings.
Oh, it's called With Love?
Yeah, it's a three-story boutique that has a bunch of Southeast Asian brands.
They have a lot of pretty dresses.
It'll say like what the brand is and where it's from.
So this is, these are from Vietnam, from a brand called La Susie.
You should wear more sunglasses.
Guys, gas them up.
Flags.
Oh, these are from Indonesia.
These are really cute.
Look at that.
Wait, this kind of looks like House of Bunny?
Bad Bunny?
Maybe you could wear this at the wedding.
Too bad it's done.
This is cute.
Or, oh my god, it comes with a scarf.
Guys, if you're getting married and you just want something simple
and you don't want to spend a fortune on a wedding dress.
It's beautiful though.
So cute.
This could easily be like one of those minimal wedding dresses.
There are three floors.
Whoa, this store is sick.
Too bad there's no vents in the store.
Look guys, this one's from Indonesia.
This one is from Singapore.
Over there is Thailand.
Where's Philippines?
I am eyeing this for our honeymoon.
But based on this dress, where do you think our honeymoon will be?
Is that lemon?
Or like something like this.
Like this is the vibe.
Guess where our honeymoon will be.
That's so cute, babe.
I love the yellow.
Let's just try it on.
I love the yellow though.
It's like very...
Like a buttery yellow.
Yeah, it's like subtle.
Yeah.
I didn't know there's another floor.
I thought it was just three.
This still has four floors.
That's a lot of clothes.
They weren't lying.
All right guys, so for lunch,
we're getting the most authentic Singaporean meal you can have here in the city.
Yeah, it's like a must.
It's a crime to come to Singapore and not try this place.
It starts with a C and you're probably wondering like,
oh, it's gotta be chili crab.
No, it's not.
It's even more popular than that.
It's better than chili crab.
Let's go get it.
All right, we're here.
Oh my gosh, finally get to try this in Singapore.
Chick-fil-a, baby.
And can I just get a large fries?
Can we get the strawberry milkshake please?
All right, so we got our meal.
What'd you get, baby?
I just got fries.
Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of their chicken burgers.
They're not terrible.
It's just not my favorite.
But I do love their chick-fil-a fries.
Yeah, I like the burgers.
But the fries with the sauce, the chick-fil-a sauce,
game changer.
Honestly, I just crave this.
Yeah, that's literally the reason why we come.
All right, so if you don't know what chick-fil-a is,
they're known for their chicken sandwiches
and their chick-fil-a sauce.
Basically, this chicken sandwich and that chick-fil-a sauce.
Yeah, we're just gonna eat and then right after this,
we're gonna head to Buvi Street,
which is one of our favorite area here in Singapore.
That should be really fun.
We're just gonna eat and we'll head there.
All right, that chick-fil-a hit the spot.
And you know what they say,
go where the locals go.
And there's a lot of locals in there, so.
All right, walking there now.
If you guys are wondering how we've been getting around,
we've just been using Grab.
The train or MRT is really good here
and it's really easy to use.
But Ann and I, honestly, we've just been lazy.
We're just lazy.
But if you want to save money,
definitely take the train.
And we actually highly recommend it
because Singapore's train system
is one of the easiest in the world, actually.
It's like really straightforward.
So we recommend it if you want to save.
But if you're lazy like us,
the Grab isn't too bad.
Yeah, Grab isn't too bad either.
All right, so we are now inside Bugis Street,
which is the largest shopping area
slash market here in Singapore.
There's so many things here that you can get.
Lots of souvenirs, lots of clothes,
even lots of food.
We love this area, honestly.
We're gonna walk around and see what we can buy.
All right, we bought some Singaporean snacks.
Apparently, it's really popular here.
Spicy salted egg fish skin by Irvin's
and salted egg potato chips.
Expensive though, but hopefully it's good.
Never tried it before.
So we're done with Bugis Street.
We are now heading to one of our favorite spots,
which is Haji Lane.
So we found this little store.
They have a bunch of digicams.
And Jan and I have been wanting to buy
like a vintage secondhand digicam
just for memory.
So we'll check it out.
This is what I came for, the digicam.
Oh, this is what we need.
Should we get one?
So we rented a bunch of digicams for our wedding
and we loved how it turned out.
So we got inspired and wanted to buy one of our own
because it's just so nostalgic.
I'm filming you.
You're filming.
All right, our matcha's here.
My second coffee.
$10.
Jan's like, whatever.
That's so cheap.
Just kidding.
You are in Haji Lane.
Yeah.
Everything here is gonna be a bit expensive.
Is it good?
Oh, that look on your face.
What's wrong?
Just so disappointed.
I hate when my matcha tastes like milk.
Give that back.
All right, guys, this is where we end the vlog.
It's been a fun couple of days here in Singapore.
Stay tuned for the next one though
because we will be doing Singapore's
Disney Adventure Cruise.
Yeah, super excited for that stuff.
That's why we can't sleep.
Yeah, exactly.
We'll see you guys in the next one.
Peace.
