Video Summary
AI GeneratedSun Da-eun, an introverted student, moves to Seoul and falls for her classmate Kim Seung-hyu. Their budding romance is marred by Seung-hyu's troubled past and the cruelty of delinquents Ho-jun and Hong-yeon. After enduring severe bullying, abduction, and the trauma of a friend's suicide, the survivors orchestrate a plan for justice, eventually finding healing and reuniting as adults.
Intelligent high school student Sun Da-eun lives in a small town with her public servant father,
housewife mother, and two adult sisters, prosecutor Sun Da-mi and famous media personality and actress
Sun Da-in, who supports and looks after her well and with whom she is close with.
Da-eun is introverted and so spends a lot of time dreaming about falling in love
and leading a splendid love life, like in all the books she read when she was younger.
One night, Da-eun has a terrifying dream in which she follows a boy as he runs to the roof of a
tall building. There, the boy tells her that he has feelings for her, which shocks and overwhelms
her. Da-eun hesitates to respond in kind to the boy and proceeds to retreat, hoping that everything
will turn out well. After a few moments, Da-eun hears a noise, turns to face the boy, and learns
that it's agonizingly too late, as the boy has already jumped from the roof to his death.
Da-eun suddenly falls over her bed in shock, wakes up, and is relieved to see that it's beautiful
and sunny outside and that it's all been just a terrible nightmare. As Da-eun climbs back up to
her bed, Da-mi storms into her room, ordering her to get up as soon as possible and help them pack
so that they can finish preparing for their upcoming move. Da-eun crawls out of bed,
goes to the living room to pass her greetings parents, and runs back to her bed, smirking that
since only her sister was the one who had to move for her job, they can handle the packing
themselves. Once the teenager is comfortably tucked in bed, her sisters reveal that she too
will be joining them in their move to Seoul and will be living and going to a new school there,
which grabs her attention fast. A couple of days later, the family finishes packing up and the
sisters move to their apartment in Seoul. There, they unpack a few things and take time out to
enjoy their new place, right after which Da-eun is sent to get beer from the local grocery.
Da-eun returns to the apartment building a few minutes later, remarking how hot it is outside,
and runs to catch the elevator that is about to close. She makes it inside, just in time,
notices that floor number 6 has already been selected, slowly turns around to see the only
other occupant, and blushes as she sees the handsome young man standing behind her.
When she gets to her apartment, Da-eun excitedly tells her sisters about their cute neighbor,
but they don't take her seriously and make fun of her, pointing out he might just be a visitor
and not a resident of the apartment building. The next morning, Da-eun drives Da-eun to her
new school and gets off to escort her to her door and wish her a good day. However, fearing that
someone might recognize her famous sister and cause a scene, Da-eun begs her sister to stay
back in the car. Moments later, as Da-eun feared, a group of students surround them and ask Sun
Da-in for autographs. Flattered, Sun Da-in queues up her fans and starts signing their books,
while Da-eun rushes to enter the school. There, she is escorted to her class by her teacher,
who presents her to her classmates and asks her to introduce herself. However, Da-eun fails to utter
a word as she is stunned and speechless after realizing that the handsome boy from the elevator
is not only her classmate, but also her class president. The teacher fills in, and after
briefly introducing the new student, proceeds to the lesson. At recess, while many students
surround Da-eun to ask her about her famous sister, two girls named In Na-ra and Jang Han-na
come up to her to introduce themselves, strike up a friendship, and introduce her to Na-ra's
boyfriend Lee Chi-nam and his friend Yoo-lee. As soon as Da-eun and Yoo-ee see each other,
they recognize one another from their previous school and wonder what the other is doing there,
but don't get a chance to discuss the situation further as class commences soon after.
On the other side of Seoul, a derelict young man named Kim Ho-joon, who lives with his friend,
wastes away his life playing video games and causing trouble around town. One afternoon,
Ho-joon's associates call him, and he rushes out of his apartment, hoping to cause trouble
for their next target. Elsewhere, at the end of the school day, Da-eun excuses herself from her
new friends, politely declines their invite to get a bite after school at a nearby cafe,
and rushes to catch up with the boy from the elevator. After asking around and learning that
his name is Kim Seung-hyu, Da-eun's new friends hang out at the local cafe, discuss Da-eun's
obvious fascination with Seung-hyu, and wonder if she knows about his past and the rumors about his
bullying inclination. Then, they ask Yoo-il what Da-eun was like at their school, but he
absentmindedly tells them that he doesn't remember. Meanwhile, Da-eun manages to catch up to Seung-hyu
as he leaves the school, introduces herself, and confesses that she likes him. However,
Seung-hyun continues blaring music through his earphones, and doesn't even react to the things
Da-eun says until she asks him if he wants to start walking her to and from school,
at which point the standoffish and annoyed boy can no longer deal with the bubbly,
cheerful demeanor of Da-eun, asks her to close her eyes, and removes himself from her company.
Da-eun is devastated by what happened, and by the way her crush treated her, and rushes home.
There, she confides in Da-mi about what happened, and the older sister makes light of the situation,
noting that a relationship with Yoo-li would make more sense as she has known him for ages.
This sisterly chit-chat is interrupted when a knock is heard at the door and Da-mi goes to
answer it while Da-eun gets a phone call from a stranger, who hangs up right after the smart
young girl asks who it is. After the phone call, Da-eun realizes that her sister is still at the
door and goes to check on her and see what is going on. Then, as she gets to the door,
Da-eun along with Da-in get the shock of their life when they see Seung-hyu carrying their
intoxicated sister Da-mi. A few seconds later, Da-in feels nauseated and vomits in the narrow
hallway. Da-mi helps her sick sister inside while Da-eun stays back and tries to start a
conversation with Seung-hyu, before telling him to head home so that she can clean the hallway.
To her surprise, Seung-hyu grabs a bucket and a towel and quietly starts helping her,
without any complaint. Then, as Seung-hyu proceeds to return to his home, Da-eun begs him for his
number and when he hesitates, she promises him that she will never give up asking him until he
agrees and gives her. When he returns to his apartment, Seung-hyu is accosted by a girl named
Yoon-ha who nags him obsessively, waiting to know about his interaction with Da-eun,
who continuously blows up his phone by texting him numerous times, hoping to find a response.
For the next few days, despite his continuous negative response and active attempt to
discourage Da-eun from approaching him, Seung-hyu is shocked to see her wherever he goes.
She waits for him after school asking to walk home with him, offers to have lunch with him,
and continuously blows up his phone, many times carrying a conversation with herself,
while her friends wonder what she can possibly see in the loner.
One day, as Da-eun forcefully joins Seung-hyu for lunch and tries to engage him by continuously
talking at him, Yoo-lee publicly pulls her aside, takes her to an empty room for privacy,
and suggests that she needs to be true to herself, citing that the way she treats everyone in the
school and the way she handles herself is quite opposite to the person she really was.
However, Da-eun is not willing to hear this friendly advice and asks Yoo-lee why he is
talking to her as if nothing happened when he was the one who decided to give up and leave.
Yoo-lee is left speechless by this interaction and contemplates what he should do to reach
Da-eun better. Later that day, Na-ra informs Da-eun that Hana has a crush on Yoo-lee and
asks her what her previous reaction to him was about and if they have ever been in a relationship.
Da-eun calmly assures her new friend that there's nothing going on and informs her that Yoo-lee is
her childhood friend. After school, Na-ra offers to take Da-eun and Hana to a local fast food joint
and the trio heads there to hang out and distress. As they enjoy their meal,
Hana asks Da-eun about her relationship with Yoo-lee and Da-eun assures her that she has
nothing to worry about. Then, as the group continues discussing different topics and
enjoying each other's company, Da-eun receives the mysterious silent call and dismisses it quickly,
without worrying her friends. In the evening, as Seung-yoo walks to his apartment,
he runs into Ho-jun and his crew of goons who approach him with animosity. Coincidentally,
both Da-eun and Yoo-lee pass by the same street and run into the crowd. While Yoo-il quietly
observes what's going on, Da-eun ignores the situation, goes up to Seung-yoo and asks him
if he has changed his mind about wanting to hang out with her the next day. Seung-yoo slowly diverts
Da-eun's attention to the situation at hand and asks her to go home as soon as possible. However,
the smitten girl refuses to, without him. Then, Ho-jun addresses everyone rudely and with a
certain degree of threat. Then, hoping to bait Seung-yoo, he warns him not to forget how far
back their acquaintance goes, asks him how much he likes living with Yoon-ha, and proceeds to
threaten her. At the mention of the threat, Seung-yoo loses his cool and punches Ho-jun,
causing a ruckus. This is soon interrupted by the arrival of Da-eun's sisters, who advise everyone
to calm down and behave rationally. As Ho-jun refuses to accept the advice, proceeds to
disrespect the sisters, and goes on to offend and threaten Da-eun, Da-mi pulls out her prosecutor's
ID, citing she specializes in school violence, and warns him not to ruin his life. She then orders
Da-eun, Yoo-lee, and Seung-yoo to follow her home, and to Ho-jun's dismay, manages to disperse the
crowd. Da-eun returns home, tries to process everything that occurred, and is gutted to
surmise that Seung-yoo may have a girlfriend he lives with. She puts these emotions aside
momentarily, and takes time out to thank her sister for having her and her friends back,
and tells her that she loves and appreciates her. Then, Da-eun's incredibly excited as she
receives a text from Seung-yoo, asking to make sure she is alright, and apologizing for getting
her mixed up in the insanity. A moment later, Seung-yoo asks Da-eun what time they should meet
the next day, which excites her to no end, and helps her forget about everything that transpired
just a few hours ago, including the possibility of her crush already being spoken for. The next day,
Da-eun and Seung-yoo meet up at the park in front of their apartment, and start walking around the
beautiful scenery, making small talk. Then, a few minutes later, the duo sit on a bench,
and as Da-eun starts surmising that Seung-yoo might have feelings for her,
he takes out his school books, confesses that his grades are poor, and asks her to tutor him
for the upcoming college entrance exams. Da-eun is a bit confused, but accepts her crush's request,
and dives into explaining the chosen subject. A few hours later, even though they still have
a long way to go, Seung-yoo opts for a break, and proposes to have lunch, which Da-eun agrees to,
especially once she realizes that the study sessions will be continuing regularly.
Seung-yoo searches for a reputable restaurant in the vicinity, and as the duo walks there,
they are surprised to run into Da-eun's group of friends, also taking a break from a study session.
At the restaurant, everyone sits together and enjoys a nice lunch while making some small talk.
After they finish, the group leaves and starts walking back, joking around and enjoying each
other's company. A few miles into their walk, Yoo-lee pulls Seung-yoo aside and asks him about
Ho-jun and what the altercation was about, before warning him not to hurt Da-eun or put her in
potentially dangerous situations. On the other side of town, Ho-jun and his crew hang out on
the roof of his apartment building and are visited by their friend Hong-yeon, who reveals that she
still has feelings for Seung-yoo and demands to know who he is seeing. At Da-eun's apartment,
Da-yoon's sisters prepare a feast and invite Seung-yoo for lunch, hoping to get to know him.
The lunch goes without a hitch, as the sisters lightly joke around and make their guest feel
at ease while embarrassing their sister by revealing how much she likes Seung-yoo. After
lunch, as the sisters keep an eye on them from the next room, Da-eun and Seung-yoo get to study
and manage to cover a lot of topics before taking a break and going out for a walk. During their
walk, Seung-yoo asks Da-eun if what her sisters said about her feelings for him were true and
whether something is going on between her and Yu-ri. After making sure that there's nothing
he needs to worry about with Yu-ri, to the absolute delight of Da-eun, Seung-yoo asks her to be his
girlfriend and she ecstatically accepts. Elsewhere, Hana asks to see Yu-ri and meets him at the park,
where she tells him how she feels about him and asks him if he wants to be her boyfriend.
However, Hana's heart is broken into pieces as Yu-ri politely declines her proposal and
she walks away crying in pain. On the other side, as Da-eun and Seung-yoo conclude their blissful
walk, Seung-yoo asks his new girlfriend not to make their relationship official, citing that
he's not yet ready to deal with the attention and speculation the announcement will bring
and she accepts. To make everything even better for Da-eun, Seung-yoo grabs her hand and holds
it in his as a sign of his affection, which excites the bubbly girl to no end. Later that
night, Seung-yoo returns home and as he blissfully texts his girlfriend, he hears a panicked voice
coming from the living room, goes to check it out and is shocked to find Yoon-ha choking. Panicked,
he tries to help her and together with his mom, rushes her to the emergency room. The next morning,
Da-eun goes to school in a noticeably cheerful mood but keeps the reason for her happiness to
herself as she promised. Then the senior's homeroom teacher announces that due to the
increased number of school violence, the teachers will take turns patrolling the school grounds
after school and warns them not to get caught doing reckless things. Then, to the shock of Da-eun,
right before he leaves, the teacher adds that Seung-yoo will be absent due to a family emergency.
Worried by this news, Da-eun tries to call and text Seung-yoo to find out what's going on
and make sure he's okay but gets no response. During recess, as Da-eun hangs out with her
friends, they see Han-ah from a distance and wave her over to join them. However, Han-ah ignores
their call and walks away in the opposite direction, which confuses all of them except
Yoo-lee, who knows he's the reason for that bizarre interaction. Elsewhere, Hong-yeon calls Ho-jun
and takes detailed information on Da-eun, believing she is Seung-yoo's girlfriend.
She leaves her school early and goes to Seung-yoo's school after hours and runs into the
unsuspecting Da-eun, who is on her way out. Then, Hong-yeon pushes down Da-eun, informs her that
she's Seung-yoo's girlfriend, and demands to know what her relationship is with Seung-yoo.
Da-eun tries to defend herself as much as she can and opts to leave the situation so that it won't
escalate any further. However, Hong-yeon grabs her and as she proceeds to attack her, she's
stopped by Yoo-lee, who comes out of nowhere, refers to Da-eun as his girlfriend, warns Hong-yeon
to stay away from her, and threatens to cause her a world of pain if she doesn't. Once the
situation is under control and they are all alone, Da-eun scolds Yoo-lee for calling her his
girlfriend, fearing that if Seung-yoo hears, he will get the wrong idea. Yoo-il explains his
rationale and reasons that that was the only way to get the bullies off of her permanently,
and once she calms down, he shares what happened between him and Hana and asks her for advice on
how to proceed. After listening to him carefully, Da-eun promises to help him and give him tips on
how to proceed, only if he promises not to tell Seung-yoo what happened with the bullies.
Despite his reservation, Yoo-lee agrees with the conditions. Later that evening, still having heard
nothing from Seung-yoo and unable to reach him, Da-eun stands by the elevator in her apartment
building and waits for him to come home. Seung-yoo, along with his family, returns hours later and
Seung-yoo excuses himself to talk to Da-eun. Seung-yoo shares that he had to go to the hospital
to look after his sick family member, and apologizes for not informing her and for being
unreachable. Then to Da-eun's utter delight, Seung-yoo professes how much he missed her,
and that he now believes that she is his destiny, just like she does. Then after sharing how much
they mean to each other, the couple lovingly embrace, while an angry Eun-ha watches in secret.
Elsewhere, Hong-yeon goes to see Ho-jun and relates everything that happened at the school earlier,
and condemns him for giving her unverified information. After carefully hearing her
account, Ho-jun speculates that everything about Da-eun's relationship with Yoo-lee is a lie,
and that they probably concocted it to fool her. Ho-jun then offers to join Hong-yeon the
next time she goes to Seung-yoo's school, and promises to help her mess with Da-eun and her friends.
Back at Seung-yoo's apartment, when Seung-yoo returns from his meeting with Da-eun,
a frustrated Eun-ha waits for him inside and scolds him for making her feel like nothing
by having a good time while she's still recovering. Seung-yoo then learns the extent of Eun-ha's anger,
when he goes to his bedroom and finds his phone thrown into his fish tank and rendered useless.
Meanwhile, in the next apartment, Da-eun lies sleepless, speculating on what's going on,
when Seung-yoo's phone is out of reach once more. The next morning, Seung-yoo and Da-eun
walk to school together, and Seung-yoo once more apologizes for his unavailability.
Then Da-eun asks her boyfriend if she can share her relationship status with her friends,
but Seung-yoo only agrees to share the news with Yoo-lee, which confuses Da-eun.
At school, Yoo-lee takes Da-eun's advice, writes a letter for Han-ah, and hands it to her as
everyone watches in the hallway. Seung-yoo and Da-eun spend the rest of the day together,
where Da-eun helps her secret boyfriend catch up with different subjects he missed.
Later, at the end of the school day, the homeroom teacher asks to see Seung-yoo at his office.
Hence, Seung-yoo gives Da-eun his old MP3, so that she can listen to his favorite songs,
and asks her to go home and wait for him there. Da-eun blasts the music and starts to head home,
only to be stopped by Hong-yeon and her crew. As she starts to back away, in hopes of avoiding the
confrontation, she is scared to realize that she is surrounded by Ho-jun's crew from behind.
Seung-yoo finishes his meeting with his homeroom teacher, and as he proceeds to leave, his old
friend and now Ho-jun's right-hand man, Park Ji-hwan, comes looking for him from his old school,
and informs him that Ho-jun and Hong-yeon have abducted Da-eun, and the two run in search of
the poor girl. Two years ago, at Seung-yoo's old school, friends Seung-yoo, Ho-jun, and Ji-hwan
hang out at the school until Seung-yoo is informed that his girlfriend Hong-yeon is torturing Yoon-ha.
Seung-yoo rushes to the scene and finds Hong-yeon standing over a terrified Yoon-ha,
going through her victim's phone. As soon as she sees her boyfriend, Hong-yeon reports that Yoon-ha
has been spreading a rumor that she lives with Seung-yoo, and has been taking hidden pictures of
him, instead of backing his girlfriend. Seung-yoo goes over to Yoon-ha and leads her away from the
crowd to take her home, which infuriates Hong-yeon and confuses Ho-jun and Ji-hwan to no end.
Later that night, while Seung-yoo locks himself in his bedroom, Yoon-ha sits outside his door,
apologizing for all the trouble she caused him and begging him not to tell her mom and his dad.
The next day, when Seung-yoo gets to class, he is devastated to read offensive things written
about him and his relationship with Yoon-ha all over the whiteboard, while Ho-jun watches his
reactions smugly. Overwhelmed, Seung-yoo runs out of the class in hopes of clearing his head.
At present, Seung-yoo and Ji-hwan search around the local parks and the known hangout spots of
Ho-jun's crew. Meanwhile, while recording the whole ordeal, Hong-yeon interrogates Da-eun in
the girls' bathroom of a local park, tortures her, and knocks her out as she angrily pushes
her down and causes her to hit her head as she falls. Ji-hwan and Seung-yoo search everywhere
to no avail, and just when they prepare to give up, they hear an ambulance rushing by and trust
their guts to follow it. The next morning, the homeroom teacher informs the class what happened
to Da-eun and advises the rest of the students to call the police. Just as the teacher leaves,
Na-ra questions Seung-yoo about what happened to Da-eun. Seung-yoo gathers all of Da-eun's friends,
and after detailing all that he knows about the situation, Yoo-lee tries to fight Seung-yoo
until the rest calm him down in hopes of putting their heads together and coming up with a plan.
At the police station, eyewitnesses profile all of Ho-jun and Hong-yeon's crew and place them
at the crime scene, hence the police round up the group and bring them in for questioning. However,
none of the kids seem bothered by their predicament and even taunt the officer,
reminding him that since there was no physical injury reported on Da-eun and since they are
underage, he can't do much to them. At the hospital, even though Da-eun is cleared of any physical
injury, she is kept for a few more days so that she can rest and be observed for any latent
complications. While the sisters tend to Da-eun in the hospital, their parents fly in and rush to
the hospital to see their youngest daughter. Then, after making sure Da-eun's okay, in an effort to
watch out for her husband and his new election campaign, her mother suggests to bury the
incident. Furious by the suggestion, Da-mi flips out on her mother, scolding her for prioritizing
their father's career over Da-eun's safety, and vows to use all her power to bring the people
responsible to justice, reminding her parents how lucky they all were that Da-eun was okay,
and that it could have been a lot worse and even resulted in death.
As Ho-jun and his friends hang out at his place and discuss when they should upload
Da-eun's torture video, Ji-hwan tells them that he wants some privacy to talk to his crush,
sits away from the crowd, and discreetly texts Seung-yoo about the crew's whereabouts and their
plans. As soon as he gets the location information, Seung-yoo prepares, and as he proceeds to leave
his house, Yoon-ha stops him. Elsewhere, Da-eun's friends go to the hospital to see her and wait
with her sister until she returns from a consultation. When she returns, everyone is
happy to see her, and as they proceed to check on her, she declares that she just wants to be alone
and throws everyone, including her sisters. In the hospital room, Da-eun takes time out
to process how she feels and calm down, but epically fails as the recent incident triggers
her to think about and relive what happened two years ago. Two years ago, in her old school,
Da-eun was given the nickname Ice Princess for her quiet demeanor, but is respected academically
as she is one of the smartest students in the school. One day, their semester grade is announced,
and Da-eun learns that she makes second place. After placing ahead of Yu-ri, who made third
place, Yu-ri and the first-place student Do-mi-rai, who has a huge crush on Da-eun,
are close friends and even help each other study. One day, as Mi-rai keeps nagging Yu-ri to help him
ask his crush out, Yu-ri invites Da-eun to a study group, but gets no response. A few months
later, as Mi-rai and Yu-ri hold a study session in the school, they are pleasantly surprised to
see Da-eun join them. Then, after discussing the best method forward, the group agrees to spend
two hours after school studying together for the upcoming monthly exams. As the study sessions
start going well and according to plan, after preparing well, the trio support each other as
they sit for their monthly exam. A few days later, the results are announced, and Da-eun is ecstatic
to learn that she got first place, while Mi-rai takes second, and Yu-ri stays third. To celebrate,
Da-eun buys her new friends lunch, and as she thanks them for their support, a group of guys
approach their table, force Mi-rai out of his seat, admonishing him for breaking his promise
to make payment, and drag him outside. Looking to support his friend, Yu-ri rushes to rescue Mi-rai,
follows the cruel group outside, and joins the fight in hopes of defending Mi-rai.
Unfortunately, the bullies toss Yu-ri aside along with Mi-rai, and as they proceed to beat them up,
Da-eun joins in the fight by distracting the bullies. The bully accepts the promise,
but threatens to attack all of them if it's not kept. Later, as Yu-ri and Da-eun patch up Mi-rai,
he shares that the bullying started a few years ago, but that the amount of money demanded has
increased significantly over the years. He adds that he even had to start a night job out of
desperation just so he could have enough to pay the bullies, but after some time, even that wasn't
enough to cover the growing amount. The trio realizes they can no longer live in such fear,
so report the issue and the students involved to their principal, which results in the bullies
being expelled. Even though Mi-rai isn't sure they did the right thing, the trio celebrate their
peace. Yu-ri and Da-eun promise Mi-rai that they will always have his back, and that if
the bullying starts again, they will go with him to report it to the police. Two years ago,
Mi-rai went to Da-eun's house one morning hoping to ask her out, but when he saw her, he got too
nervous, just thanked her for her friendship, and left. He then walks to the nearest park,
and believing he has to express his feelings, starts crafting her a message. The next morning,
Mi-rai comes to school, with his face all bruised and swollen, and goes straight to the roof without
talking to anyone. Yu-ri and Da-eun see his injuries and fearing for his well-being, try to
stop him, and ask him what happened, and if he's okay. There, Mi-rai steps on the edge of the roof,
and finally manages to tell Da-eun how he feels about her. She dismisses the topic,
believing she needs to handle the bully's situation first. She then tells him to wait
for her there until she goes to inform a teacher so that the police can be alerted,
and promises to return as soon as possible. However, as she turns to head back down and
takes a few steps, she hears a screeching sound, and turns to see that one of her best friends
has just had enough, and thrown himself off the building. Da-eun screams and cries in agony as
she looks down the building at the body of the smartest boy she ever knew, and has to be calmed
down to even give her account of what happened. A few days later, the bullies track down Yu-ri
and attack him while demanding the money Mi-rai failed to pay them. The next day, Yu-ri goes to
school with a bruised face, and is called to the principal's office so that he can identify and
give detailed information on the notorious bullies. Unable to take the environment any longer, Yu-ri
leaves the school once and for all. As he isn't mentally stable enough to process it, Da-eun
watches in tears as her only friend leaves her behind to deal with all the trauma by herself.
At present, as Ha-na and Yu-ri discuss what to do for Da-eun, Ha-na tells him that she has read the
letter he gave her, apologizes to him for only thinking of herself. At the hospital, Da-eun
spends her alone time going over the events from two years ago, and becomes shaken up. The bubbly
girl loses all her enthusiasm and becomes a withdrawn ghost of her old self. Seung-hyun
goes to visit Da-eun at the hospital, and after spending some quiet time, she tells him that she
wants to take a break from their relationship and gives him his MP3 back. To make matters worse,
the video of her torture is posted on the internet, and she sees it on her feed along
with everyone else. Da-eun is then released from her hospital and goes home with her sisters,
where she resigns to locking herself in her room. At school, the homeroom teacher gathers
all of Da-eun's close friends and tells them that he, along with the rest of the teachers,
will do everything in their power to facilitate the safe return of Da-eun back to school. The
friends then hold a meeting of their own afterward, and decide to be strong for Da-eun and support
her. Then, as the first order of business, they decide to report the video and demand for it to
be taken down on the grounds of aggravating trauma. Seung-yu then goes to speak to Eun-ha,
who later goes to visit Da-eun, who makes an exception to see her after she recognizes her
name. Elsewhere, as Ho-jun, Hong-yeon, and their crew play pool at the local recreational center,
Ji-hwan discreetly informs Seung-yu of their location, and Seung-yu is joined by Chi-nam
and Yu-ri in storming the place and confronting the bullies. Da-eun welcomes Eun-ha to her home,
and listens attentively as the mysterious girl narrates that the exact same thing happened to
her... two years ago. Eun-ha shares that after Ho-jun and Hong-yeon posted an inappropriate
video of her, which led her to quit school, Seung-yu fought them all alone and got pretty
injured, which still weighs on her mind and confesses that she never forgave herself for
getting Seung-yu in such a dangerous position. After discussing everything, the women realize
that they are in the same boat and hold on to each other as they cry in shared pain and
understanding. Elsewhere, Seung-yu, Yu-ri, and Cham-nam take the confrontation outside and
demand that Hong-yeon, Ho-jun, and their crew hand over any videos of Da-eun, which doesn't sit well
with the bullies. Hong-yeon approaches Seung-yu and tries to sweetly talk to him and to get him
to be with her and join her side, but it backfires, as he finally tells her how much she repulses him
and how much he hates her for what she did to both Eun-ha and Da-eun. As the confrontation
gets more tense, Seung-yu punches his ex-best friend, Ho-jun, and the battle officially starts
as Ho-jun orders his goons to attack Seung-yu and his group. Meanwhile, at Da-eun's home,
Da-eun shares how much pain she went through in the last couple of years as a result of bullying
and narrates the guilt she carries for not helping Mirai. She shares that she changed
her personality by forcing herself to become more outgoing, friendly, and confident,
so that she will always be occupied and won't have time to obsess over her guilt.
She adds that Seung-yu reminded her of Mirai a lot as she saw the same loneliness in him
and recognized the scars he carried. The two girls realize how similar their lives and struggles have
been and continue to cry together in support of one another. Elsewhere, an intense fight breaks
out and Seung-yu and his friends get beat mercilessly, exactly according to the plan
in which they decided to be severely outpowered and beat up while Hana and Nara film the whole
thing so that the police would have something to work with. As discussed, the girls recorded the
brutal beating and called the police, who were under the advice of the homeroom teacher and
were lying in wait. Back in Da-yun's home, the girls calm each other down. Then, Da-yun summons
her courage and promises never to run away from her problems. She then calls Nara and,
after learning of their whereabouts, rushes to the fight to see Seung-yu. Meanwhile, the police,
accompanied by the homeroom teacher and prosecutor Dami, arrive at the scene and
apprehend all of Ho-jun's crew. Dami checks on Seung-yun and makes sure he is okay, while the
friends check on each other and congratulate one another on a well-executed plan. Then,
Seung-yu sees Da-yun running towards him and excitedly waits to be reunited with her.
However, this festive mood is cut short a few minutes later as Hong-yeon appears out of nowhere
and, driven by jealousy, slices Seung-yu's throat, which sends utter terror through everyone. Da-yun
cries tears of agony as she watches helplessly, and in terror as someone else she deeply cares
about is rushed to the hospital. Seung-yu is rushed to the hospital and taken for emergency
surgery to repair his grave injury, while all his friends wait in the lobby of the hospital
and hope for a miracle. A few minutes later, his distraught family, including Yoon-ha,
arrives and joins the crowd of anxious people as they wait to hear Seung-yu's prognosis.
Elsewhere, Dami presents both Hong-yeon and Ho-jun with the video evidence of their crime
and asks them to give their official accounts to the court. However, both suspects smugly keep
quiet and refuse to cooperate with the authorities until she reminds them that they only have a year
until they become adults, and warns that their chance of sharing their side of the story might
be long gone by then. Everything goes back to normal a few days after the orchestrated takedown,
and even though he is still in the hospital, Seung-yun seems to be making a good recovery.
Da-eun returns to her normal bubbly self and takes time out to make a study schedule for Seung-yu
as the college entrance exams are fast approaching. One afternoon, Da-eun meets up with Yoon-ha and
the duo goes to visit Seung-yu at the hospital, where Da-eun gives him his new schedule.
A few days later, Da-eun wakes up early, excitedly gets dressed in one of her sister's
beautiful dresses, and goes to the hospital to see Seung-yu, help him with his discharge,
and welcome him back home. However, when she gets there, she's confused to see that his room
is empty and there's no trace of him left behind. Confused, Da-eun goes to his apartment to check
if everything is okay, and receives his letter from Yoon-ha. Da-eun dreadfully opens the letter
and is devastated to learn that Seung-yu has left the city, without even a proper farewell.
Da-eun controls her overwhelming emotions and manages to read the rest of the letter,
which details how sorry he is for everything he put her through and all the dangers she had to
face because of him. In the letter, he adds that he no longer wants to put her or anyone else in
danger, as he still hasn't forgiven himself for letting it happen the first time, and promises
to work on himself and find the courage to return to her after they become adults.
Three years later, Da-eun starts a new life in college surrounded by new friends,
while Yoo-li becomes the chef he always wanted and gets together with Ha-na. One day, after classes,
Da-eun meets up with Yoon-ha, and the ladies go to lunch to catch up with one another. There,
as they prepare to order their lunch, they are flabbergasted to see that Hong-yeon is their
waitress. Yoon-ha opts to leave the restaurant, but Da-eun calms her down and reminds her that
they have vowed never to run away from their problems again. The ladies enjoy a nice meal,
and when they proceed to leave the restaurant, Hong-yeon follows them,
kneels before them, and asks them for forgiveness for all that she has done to them. She also
explains that she has been wanting to come face to face and apologize for a long time,
but that she was scared to go outside for a long time after the incident as people learned the
extent of her cruelty and threatened to harm her. Shocked, the duo walks away without even uttering
and gets on their way to meet up with Yu-ri, Ha-na, Na-ra, and Chi-nam for drinks. There,
the group lovingly embraces one another and proceeds to update each other on new developments
and to toast one another for their new lives. After spending a few hours, Yoon-ha leaves the
group to see her new boyfriend while the rest continue to have a good time. Later, right before
everyone retires to their respective homes, the group asks Da-eun why she is still single,
and out of wanting only the best for her, advises her to put herself out there.
Later, Da-eun returns to her sister's apartment, and just as she sits down, she is sent to get a
few groceries for dinner. After some complaining, Da-eun accepts the order and goes to the store.
She returns to the apartment building a few minutes later, complaining of the hot weather,
and runs to catch the elevator that is about to close. She makes it inside, just in time,
notices that floor number six has already been selected,
and slowly turns around to see Seung-yoo in the flesh. Da-eun can't believe her eyes,
drops all her groceries, and embraces the love of her life for the first time in three years.
