Black Bear Tries to Climb Up Our Bushcraft Survival Tree Shelter.

Watch your step. Say hello to Jack. Oh my gosh it's so hot. All right Agent X, so which side do you want to sleep on tonight? Patrick there's a bear! Get back! Get back! Back bear! Back! Get back! Get back! That was so cool! Oh don't be scared Agent Rainbow. He was like jolting asleep. What is up Adventure Agents? Agent Tex here. Okay so half of what you just saw was clickbait. Sorry we just had to. We couldn't help it but that footage that you saw was an actual black bear just a little bit ago that we caught on camera trying to come up our ladder right here in our bushcraft tree fort and that's not good. That's not good. For a bear you should make an Adventure Agent's machete. I think this Adventure Agent knife would serve me well in a bear fight especially with a bear that size. Maybe not a grizzly bear but a bear that size I think I could take on with the Adventure Agent's survival knife. Maybe not a cougar. So we've had a cougar walk right by our tree fort shelter not too long ago and now a big black bear who tried to climb up our ladder and so it's funny because last time we slept in here I slept right there and I had a dream Agents. I had a dream that Bigfoot was coming up the ladder and put its arm over me and grabbed me and I woke up screaming. I was like you know like reaching for my knife. That really happened. Maybe that like I heard something. Maybe it was a bear coming up the ladder and like maybe it touched me. What if that happened? Like you snuggle with a teddy bear and the bear was trying to snuggle with a human. I don't know. The bear's like feeling around up there and I screamed because it took me a while to come to my senses and I heard something. I don't know. Maybe not but either way Agents I want to sleep in this tree fort tonight with Agent X. We're going to camp in here and we got to bear proof this tree fort. If we make a ladder leading right up we're like hey bear come on up here's your ladder. I know how to do it. We need a trap door or something. I know how to do it very easily. Are you gonna sleep up here tonight? I'm gonna pass. You sure? We're gonna sleep inside the building with doors. We have this ladder leading up right here. We need to bear proof and this. I know how to bear proof this one and that one. How? How? So with this one we put two uh stick here a stick here. Right. And we hinge it and nail it on this wall. Okay. But we don't do it on that side. Good idea. And then but they're like good big live sticks. Yeah right. And then we put branches across that and tie it with cordage. That's easy enough. And then we can hinge it. All right Agents well we'll have to figure out what we're gonna do but first it is a hundred and what two right now Agent how many? Agent 104. It's 104 degrees right now. It's so hot. Before we get to work I need to jump in the bushcraft pond that's right down there that we made in a few episodes ago. So let's head down. We grew our own bushcraft watermelon and we have Jack here. Get a watermelon too. So let's head down to the bushcraft pond jump in get our heads wet get us cooled off so we can have better ideas about how to bear proof this bushcraft tree fort so we can sleep in it tonight. You don't need my help. Oh there's little trout in here. Look at all these. There's like seven little trout. Oh no Agents our pond. It's gone almost. It's like it's only like a like uh almost a foot deep right here. This is not good. Oh man. Okay. There's like seven baby trout. Yeah look at them. See that? Yeah but but the pond's almost gone though. Look look there's a hole here. The water's draining right there. This is where we found the clue. Right there's where we found the clue. Agent Trinity's getting stuck. It's it's pretty uh it's quicksand over there. Yeah my shoe is not coming mud. You got it? Okay. Oh my gosh. All right agents so we have a mission. Fill this pond back up for the trout and for our enjoyment. Oh sweet sweet rainbow. Survival baby. Surviving in the wild. Lost my shoe. That's my marker to gauge the pond and how high it raises. What do you got there? Frog. Oh nice. I found it and actually caught it. Awesome. I caught it but it slipped out my hand. Yep not enough meat on that one. What a cutie though. So if I had to change my agent name I think I would change it That is the Chinook word for beaver. I just love beavers. They're so fantastic. I feel bad. I feel like I've been a bad Agent Ina and I haven't really taken care of this pond like I should have. I let it go and it drained and I didn't keep it up for the fish and for the other creatures that depended on it. So I'm back in action as Agent Ina. And I'm most excited about all those little trout that we saw. They're going to be able to grow bigger and bigger because of the size of this pond now. Water's coming. I can make it go forward by itself. It's the self-propelled water balloon. Where'd it go? It disappeared. Oh there it is. Oh big snake, big worm. Look at that. I'm gonna throw it in. Oh you're gonna throw it for the trout? All right there you go trout. They hit me. Here's a snack. Here's a trout. Agent Rainbow has the stump. Daddy can I cut it? Oh look at this. Such a sweet boy. Can I cut it? Sure. Now? Okay so so far so good. We got a good seven inches raised on this pond level. So I think we're good to go. That's very satisfying. Who wants slices? Me. Daddy look at my slice. Oh smell. Smell good? Summer. Smells like Texas? Look at my slice. Not bad for a melon up here. So big. It's not Texas melon but. Yeah this is a cute little melon for us Texans. Those watermelons y'all they get bigger than Agent Axe in Texas. Yeah everything's not necessarily bigger in Texas like the trees or the mountains but the watermelons are bigger. Oh that is good. Oh you want some watermelon Agent Tracker? Here you go. No watermelon? I'm eating rotten flesh in Minecraft. She's your child. Okay okay. She's also my child. Already peed in it. You just drank it? Ew. You just drank it? Success agents. Check this out. We have raised this pond level to its original height which is about oh that's about uh 16 to 18 inches above that level. Success. Pokemon. Go. Go. Um Pika. Puff. Rai. Achoo. Pee. Kachoo. Okay no. That was the cutest saddest thing. As soon as his toes touched he was like oh gosh. I found this beautiful creature while I was digging. It's probably too hot for him to be super close. What are you doing Agent Hummingbird? Pretending to make a fire. Not quite ready. I like to cook mine really well. Take a bite and then cook it every bite because I like it to have like a little bit of crispiness to it. He's like what are you doing? That's this guy up there. Are you looking at this cedar tree? That's your name. Cedar. Okay. He's ready to go home. Yeah I also smacked him in the head so that didn't help much. I was holding him. There was a fly on my arm and it was biting me. You have these biting flies and they make they're like worse than bees. They make your arm swell up and I saw it on my arm. It was right next to his head. I'm like I'm gonna get it. I'm gonna get it. And I also hit him a little bit in the head and I don't think it hurt but he was just like what are you doing to me dad? There's one in Come and get me. You just pushed him. No you did it for four seconds. Oh my. All right so Agent X made this campfire corn dog batter and we've never done this on our own. We did it with Agent Camp King, Luke from the Outdoor Boys last time they were here. Wait sideways? Sideways? Yeah turn it sideways. Let's give it a shot. Spin it. Pull it out. Oh look at that. That's looking great. I don't think it's done yet. Let's keep it in for a little longer. Like I'll keep it in for like 30 more seconds. Success. Wow. All right Hummingbird. Let's see. Give it a go. Oh look at that bubbling. This is like a mad scientist experiment. It's good? Yummy? All right I got mine here. It's still pretty hot. Oh yeah that's good. Good work Agent X. Good work. I used to work in the fencing industry for a living and not like sword fighting fencing. That'd have been pretty cool huh? No building fences. And when you're building a gate a brace is really important because otherwise your gate will sag if you don't have a brace. So I'm gonna use nature and what nature's given me to make the brace for this gate for the tree fort. Yeah Agent X here. All right I'll be right there. Agent X made us a little bit of food. The dude who wrote Brick in the Wall said something that I really liked to Mark Zuckerberg. Listened to the song and got it stuck in my head again. Okay so moment of truth. Does it work? Does the gate work? There we go. So here's the idea. This is a branch literally growing out of that tree right there. See? A branch growing out at an angle. This is another branch growing out of this tree at another angle. I tied those two together and that creates my cross brace here. And it holds everything together. And I just bored these holes. Locked it in tight. And no bears getting through there without a real struggle. And by then I'll be awake and I'll be kicking the bear off of the tree for it. I'll have the advantage. I'll have the high ground. So now to take care of this problem right here. And to solve this problem I'm going to use the age-old. The enemy is laying siege to your castle with ladders on your castle walls. What do you do? And there you go. The enemies are taken care of. They actually helped you take care of them. They climbed up the ladder so you could push them off to their doom. So now there's only one real easy and obvious entrance to our tree fort and that is on this ladder right here. Now I recognize agents that bears and cougars they can climb trees better than I can. And so if I can climb right up there and get into the tree fort well so can they. But it's going to be that much more difficult and it's not going to be this direct path. Hey bear here's the ladder climb right up into our tree fort right easy nice and easy peasy. It's not going to be like that. So they're really going to have to go out of their way. And when it comes to wild animals most of the time you really don't have to worry about them. What you don't want is create a scenario in which you accidentally come into contact with them in a tight or enclosed space right? We don't want that. And so I doubt the bear would climb up there. It would probably smell us and be like mmm that smells funny go away. But you never know they could be extra hungry. They could be having a bad day. Bees always trying to steal my honeycomb. I'm gonna go eat agent tex. I don't know. And they might climb right up that ladder and then hey we're gonna we got a bad situation. So I'm gonna feel that much more safe and I'm gonna use a piece of paracord to lock it right there. Who goes there? Are you bear or are you human child? Can I have popcorn burger? You can have popcorn burger. Give me all the snacks and I'll go away. We got game boy. We got ipad. Alright can you do it? Let's see. Yeah careful don't fall. Yeah it's kind of odd. It's the best I could come up with for now. Its hinges are just paracord. Ow that hurts. Wait push it push it push it off. I'm pinching. This is all part of the trap for the bear. You pinched it. Yeah so look here's how you latch it. You hook this around here and you hook it on that little deal there. And look see there's no more hole here. Now I can let, no Fabian could lay here. Yeah Fabian can lay there. Yeah we tried to get agent tracker. Tracker! She started to come with me and then she smelled something and ran off in the bushes. So we'll see if we hear her down here. So I've got this right here. It's called, oh you actually use it this way. It's called the glass owl and it can record video using infrared light at night. So with no lights we can see what's going on around us in the forest and record it. How do I turn it on? Using infrared light. So pretty cool. Also got my walkie-talkie just in case agent Trinity needs me. We are pretty far away but but not so far that a walkie-talkie can't reach. So if she has an emergency at night with agent Rambo. I can't wait we are getting adventure agent walkie-talkies in soon. So I'm excited about that. All right what are we watching here? What is this? Mario Kart in real life. Mario Kart in real life. All right so we got our adventure agent Flantered on its red mode here which gives us enough light to kind of see and it lasts a long time. Well I slept well. You did? Yeah. I woke up like an hour and a half ago and I woke up like six times since then. I can't wake you up. Me too. It's just amazing waking up in a tree. It's just amazing. It's it's some dude climbing up the tree fort. All right so I'm gonna leave this on watching the tree fort. See if another bear tries to climb up. But looks like this game worked. No bear, no cougar came and visited us last night and since we're recording with the camera we know they didn't even try. So anyways they have really good sense of smell. They can probably smell us from really far away and they're like I'm not going over there because that's where the humans are. Hey agent Trinity. We're coming home.
