Video Summary
AI GeneratedProfessional hard enduro riders gathered for an intensive training week in rocky terrain. The event emphasized skill elevation through peer pressure, technical mastery of boulder fields, and mentorship of junior riders. The week culminated in competitive team races where strategic risk-taking and mental commitment were key to securing victories.
Yeah, I don't think you can really catch up 20 years of riding trials, you know, overnight,
but what Cody's got is a lot more than what we have when it comes to trials.
Yeah, it's always super fun when you get the whole crew together, all the boys together,
everyone's just kind of pushing each other and elevating each other's game,
which is sick. I mean, that's kind of what I live for.
He does that good.
The week was actually so fun. Hard to describe in words how fun it was just having everyone here
and when you combine like 12 different people, it just creates a crazy chaos and good time.
So it was an awesome week.
I can't do it. I'm a bitch.
Brandon Petrie looks at this line that is honestly one of the stupidest things I've
ever seen and then he's like, he told us to get the cameras rolling and he just sent it.
Dude, it was gnarly. It was one of the biggest things I've ever seen.
I would absolutely never hit that. Never. It's like you're gaining nothing.
We were at this super cool area with these massive white bubble looking rocks that
were really round but not super smooth. They were really grippy and gritty and it made it
so you had great traction and it was perfect for trowsy lines.
That was a trick of mine.
Just these big boulders are like perfect for riding on a dirt bike or playing
the floor is lava or something because there's just big rocks everywhere. So it's just
pretty much whatever you can come up with in your mind as creative as you want to be,
you can be at this spot. The lines are insane.
Holy.
That's kind of gnarly, huh?
This is Cody's f****** zone.
That's kind of scary.
Yeah, buddy.
Yeah, Hardinger Burrows, it seems like it's just kind of the friend group and the guys
egging each other on, pushing each other to do some big lines, some sick days riding. I mean,
we've been next to each other for the last three days, which is sick. So it's a nice,
a really nice thing to do. I wish I could do more of it.
You're feeling frisky today.
You are, you just hit that line. Couldn't get the balls to do it.
When you're riding on these massive rocks here, it's all about keeping your way forward.
Obviously, it's got tons and tons of traction. So it's all getting your way forward,
carrying a lot of momentum. A lot of these things are straight up and down. So
as long as you go into it with some speed, you should get up everything.
Hell yeah, boys. We're out here having some fun.
It's not so normal for so many of the top guys to be training together. You know,
I'll train with Manny or with Billy, but not 10 of us together. So it's quite a cool thing.
Hey Braxton, I got a little down for you. I have a gnarly line.
Yeah.
I don't know about it.
Like most likely doable or what?
It'd probably go. Kind of gnarly though.
Wait, like that?
Yeah.
That's so scary.
It's not bad at all.
That was one of the scarier things I've ever done.
Really?
Yeah.
It goes so chill.
That's scary.
That is a little scary. Jesus.
Did you put your rear down there?
No.
When you're set up for something that big, it's definitely
mentally difficult to just get yourself to commit to something like that.
And like when you're finally ready to commit, you just want to do it.
And then it's kind of hard. It's just, it's difficult to get back into that zone again.
Oh, my front brake is turned to dog ----.
What the?
Wow.
You like stopped.
That one's gnarly.
You made that look sketch.
That makes it worse, honestly, coming to this.
Yeah.
Starting right there is burly.
I feel like I've joined the squad a little bit.
Not so much of an outsider anymore.
And I'm going to be spending more time in America.
So it's pretty cool.
It's a good introduction.
Go on, Adil.
I was going to catch someone and then try to come up.
We'll catch you on the way down.
That part is scary.
If the setup wasn't so sketchy, it wouldn't be so bad.
There you go, go guy.
This is a sick zone, huh?
I was not expecting it to be this good.
Come on, Corin.
Are you guys all, are you going to go around, Corin?
Oh, he's gone.
Turn that f***ing bike on, please.
Being with the guys in one big group,
it really forces us to push each other more and more every time we do something.
Because someone will do something and then the other person has to do it.
And then whether you want to do it or not, you kind of feel obligated to do it.
Because if you don't, then you might get made fun of during when we're done.
I think it's a cool opportunity to showcase the peewees.
And they get to see what we're doing kind of behind the scenes.
Like normally it's just the stuff at the races.
So for them to come out here and it gives them something to, like a target to shoot for.
And I think they're going to elevate even more because they saw what
is capable of what they could be doing.
And it's just going to keep growing the sport.
F*** he does that good.
Whoa, Charles, guys.
Good save.
Damn it.
Goddamn linkage.
The only thing the linkage is fault, but I'm blaming it.
I did exactly what Flynn did.
Oh, damn.
He down, boy.
Oh, that was a big hit.
All right.
Back to the hills.
Goddamn it.
I went left because I thought it would be better.
This s*** is stuck.
Thanks, buddy.
That was a big hit.
The throttle is mangled.
Here, I made a kicker for you, Tristan.
I don't like that.
Tristan needs it, though.
No kicker.
Dude, this is kind of an entertaining piece to go flying in the air.
Nice, Stone.
Look at this line, build a little kicker, an old school Cody kicker,
jump off that and jump to the next rock.
Go for it.
I think old school Cody would do that.
Doug, that's huge.
Was Cody that much of a savage?
Yeah.
Oh, my God.
No one's beating that guy.
All right, I retire.
That was my line for the day.
That was nice.
Wow.
We all kind of got our butts kicked by Cody.
I kind of told Brandon that I'm pretty sure there's not enough time in the world for
me to learn what Cody can do on a bike in these rocks.
It's incredible, really, how good he is.
Watching him, it's just, it's mind blowing.
Obviously, I want to be better at that.
I say that every year.
But yeah, it's just the gap is huge between him and everyone else right now.
Oh, my God.
There goes the front fender.
These guys are...
Cody's ruining dirt bike for me.
I think we go home.
Holy...
I want to get the whole thing.
That scares me.
That's fair.
I can't do it.
I'm a bitch.
All right, it's happening right now.
Right now.
God damn it, dude.
I want to get that.
Who does that clean?
That's a burly line.
Braxton, clean that line.
I have.
The way Cody is doing it.
Well, that's what I'm doing.
Yeah.
Well, don't say you have then, buddy.
No problem.
Look at him.
He's a natural.
God.
Dude, I know I can do it.
I just got to get this part right.
Not afraid.
He's not afraid at all.
Rear wheel master.
No, Cody's a real master.
F***ing hell.
That's crazy.
That down's kind of sketchy there.
That down, I hate it.
Kid thought he can do what I did.
I had to go show him how it's really done.
That was nice.
I didn't actually splatter gap it though.
Nah, you rolled in.
It's okay.
No one...
Just zoom out.
That was nice, Braxton.
Holy...
Honestly, all of our newcomers, I thought everyone was riding super well,
which is cool to see.
I just feel like if everyone's riding well,
then it's just elevating the whole game of hard enduro,
especially here in the United States.
S***.
They unlocked it.
Are you kidding me?
I think the mind games were a little lower.
Everyone's getting better.
So everyone kind of sends it anyways.
Like whether people say to do it or not,
you just kind of know, well, it's my turn to go one way or another.
And yeah, it was cool seeing everybody send it.
We had a lot of carnage, that's for sure.
I'll tell you what, he's got balls.
I haven't even tried that yet.
Excited to be in the USUI gear this year.
I've ran the packs forever now.
They're the best product around.
All of us wear them.
But I'm in the gear this year as well, which is really awesome.
The quality is great.
A really great fit.
Very durable as well.
USUI's always been big in hard and durable support.
They support the boroughs, which is awesome to see.
They help us get out here to do these video shoots.
So, you know, I love to be a part of a brand like that.
I'm just stoked to represent such a great company.
I honestly think that the JX-8 is 100% the ideal tire out here
because it grips on the rock, of course.
So it was working perfectly.
The JX-8 was on this week.
The 120 was hooking on all the slabs
and trusting the side knobs on a couple pretty gnarly clips.
I'm not even sure what to call it yet.
But I seen this line.
It was kind of a jump.
It was kind of a splatter.
Everyone was off doing their own thing on this little trousy thing.
But this one jump was just kind of calling my name.
It was just, it was too perfect not to do in my mind.
And yeah, I moved a couple rocks.
Moved a rock on the landing.
And it just, it was just meant to be, honestly.
Where's your line?
What's going on here?
You're splatting that?
Are you just clearing it and letting it splat?
No, I was splat.
Holy ----.
You'll go too fast if you jump it.
Because there's rocks on the other side.
You can't.
That's pretty burly.
You have to splat it.
I think it goes though.
Obviously.
For a guy like you, Pete.
I don't think it's that bad.
Is that dumb?
Who's doing this?
Is that bad?
Where the f*** are you going to land at?
The splat it?
Wait, where, where do you land at?
Downhill.
I would even tell Taylor Robert this is a bad idea.
I was quite surprised at the reaction from a lot of the other guys.
I kind of thought that they would probably do it as well.
Or, like, I didn't think it was truly that bad.
They tried pretty hard to talk me out of it.
Which was surprising.
But, um, yeah.
All right, Pete.
How about it, buddy?
Where do you land at?
On the rock.
It'll be more of a jump than a splat, but it'll go.
But I think you have to land.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Sure.
Like that.
Nice, easy landing.
Big takeoff.
Yo.
Give it a go.
The worst thing that happens is you land and come off.
That's what I was saying.
I don't think that would be that bad.
Nah, it's not that high.
You'll probably stop on the thing anyways.
What?
You'll probably stop on it if you don't go high enough anyways.
I would absolutely never hit that.
Never.
It's like you're gaining nothing hitting it.
It's the dumbest splat I've ever seen.
Come on!
Go for it!
You're a bad influence, Matthew.
So I looked at it.
I knew I could do it.
And I just had to go out and execute it.
No?
Don't f***ing do it.
Pete, if you got it, buddy, don't listen to anyone.
Nah, I wouldn't do that.
You're gonna go over the handlebars in these rocks over here.
I wasn't planning on going over the bars.
I kind of, I knew I had it.
And I feel I'm never gonna put myself at risk on a line that I know I don't have.
If I feel that I can do it, then I feel pretty comfortable knowing that I can do it.
See you on the other side, Pete.
Oh!
Yeah!
Holy s***.
Hey, that was dumb.
I'm not gonna lie.
That was way faster than I thought.
That was f***ed up.
Maybe Matt was right.
That was way faster than I would have hit it.
That was so good.
You see, I told you.
I was the only one that believed in you.
I ain't doing that again.
That was burly.
I thought I could do it, like.
You didn't.
I know, but like everyone said I couldn't do it.
Getting in my head.
For the record, I didn't say you couldn't do it.
I said it maybe isn't worth it.
No, I know.
That's different.
I feel like they all said I couldn't do it though.
I didn't.
No, Hart believed.
I believed.
Matt, yeah, truth.
Biggest cheerleader right here.
Pete sees something and he sees s*** differently.
He's always been like that.
Redhead problems or something.
Honestly, I thought when I did it, everyone would do it.
And you guys would think it was dumb probably.
But I guess not.
No, we still don't believe in this one.
Okay.
Not for ourselves at least.
Yeah, I think that was best case scenario.
Because I still almost went over the bars.
That was a good save.
There's like one out of a thousand tries that went better than that.
That was so good.
That was like the 999th best option.
I can't believe he actually did that.
We paired up with one of the juniors.
Con is my junior for this race.
And we have to race to get up to the top of the hill.
Winner gets 200 bucks, which will pay for our flights to Houston.
So we can go watch Supercross.
Come on!
So we did this team race that was really sick.
We all got to pick a pro and a peewee to ride together.
And I ended up with James Flynn.
It was really good.
So we took the best of the best and the upcoming riders.
Paired them up and sent them to the top of the mountains.
I felt like we had some good strategies.
And then we'd get to the bottom of the hill.
We'd pick out our line.
We'd look at the line.
And both times it was the wrong line.
Dead end?
I don't know.
Yeah, team race was sick.
I had a lot of fun.
I partnered up with Matt Green.
And I knew he was a strong guy.
And a good guy to be with.
I've kind of joined into a team and Makana is my teammate.
So we ended up pairing up for the race by chance.
And it was quite fun to race with him.
And he can ride well, you know.
He's a young kid and he rides really good.
The secret to us winning that challenge specifically,
Makana said to me,
Matt, come, let's do this line.
I think it'll be worn and it'll be quicker.
And I said to him, yeah, well, why not?
Let's take a chance.
I knew everyone was going to go that way.
And like all the challenges, I've tried to be something different.
Because it doesn't matter if you come second or third.
It's all about winning.
It's the only way you're going to get money.
So you may as well take a gamble on yourself.
So we did and it paid off.
Yeah, after the race, Ray Labon came down.
And they're revving their bikes.
Like, oh yeah, thanks for the money.
Like, we sweeped you guys.
And we're like, dude, we've been sitting down here for like 30 seconds, Ray.
Like, what are you guys talking about?
Like, we didn't even see you up there.
But you had already been up there for a while.
Me and Ryder were too focused on winning
that we actually didn't listen to all the directions.
And made a little bit of a navigational mistake.
And it forced us out of the win.
F***ing made it to the right round this time, motherf***ers!
Go, Ryder!
Wait, we go down?
Yeah, down.
Yeah, you have to go back down.
Oh, I thought it was just up.
Victory feels good.
First one of the week.
We're going to Houston!
Yeah!
I can't shake the feeling.
The gloom is ever growing up in New England.
A storm is always coming.
Caught in the current, chasing after my name.
Does it feel like I am slipping away?
Just a massive performer.
Just an insane athlete.
Yeah, make sure you tell Kylie about that one too.
She won't believe it.
No one else did it, I can promise you that.
I can't imagine.
I know, I'm f***ing mad.
She's back there giggled.
Dude, I was trying so hard to keep it in.
