Hello, friends and welcome back!
Today we're spending the day thrifting at some of my favorite local antique shops! I found what may be the best thrifted treasure I've ever brought home, and I'll show you my entire haul along with how I styled each piece in our cozy home.

AI GeneratedRobin shares her experience thrift shopping during her lunch hours at two local antique shops, Amazing Grace and Heritage Antiques. Seeking summer decor, specifically strawberry-themed items for her kitchen and blue-and-white pieces for her living room, she explores various booths and finds several unique treasures to style in her home.
Hey friends, welcome back to my channel. I'm Robin. If you happen to be new today,
today is all about thrift shopping. We're gonna head into one of our local antique
shops, Amazing Grace, and this is my lunch hour that we're gonna go in and film on.
So today we'll be at Amazing Grace and then tomorrow we'll head over to Heritage
Antiques, see what all we can find. I'm on the prowl for some summer decor. I love
some new blue and white pieces for my living room and maybe a few more
strawberry pieces for my kitchen. So I'm so glad you're here today. Let's go
inside and see what we can find today. I wanted to show you guys the outside of
Amazing Grace. It's adorable and also this little garage that you see here,
it's also full of just old dressers and beds and things like that. So this
place is a really nice place. Now let me know in the comment section when I'm
doing my thrifting videos, do you guys want me to talk as I'm showing the
decor? Do you want me just to kind of let you look around, not say anything, and
just add some calming music? I'd love to know in the comment section how you like
to watch a thrifting video. I actually like someone not to talk and just show
me all the stuff that's in the store. I have a beautiful kitchen hutch that
I've had for about three or four years now, but I've just come to realize that
it really is big. It takes up a lot of room in the dining room, and so this
little hutch here is adorable. If I was to replace that bigger hutch for a
smaller hutch, I would definitely go with this style. I could see me just maybe
sanding that down for just a natural wood color and possibly adding some new
hardware to it. I think it would be beautiful in the kitchen. However, it's
just a thought. I haven't made that decision yet. My son and daughter-in-law
are about to build a new home, so if she is interested in that hutch at all, that
would give me an opportunity to buy just a smaller hutch for the kitchen. Okay, I
have several friends that have booths here at Amazing Grace. However, today I
only had time to go through two of them, so we're gonna start with Kelly's booth.
She always has the most unique, precious items. You guys know I'm a floral girl
through and through, and I can usually always find something in this booth, and
spoiler alert, I did not take anything home from Kelly's booth today, but as you
can see here, she had so many sweet items out on display.
I so loved both of these watering cans. They would look so good on the front
porch. Okay, now we're gonna go through Angela's booth, and again, I found some
more floral items, and she had the cutest patriotic decor. I don't decorate
for Fourth of July, but I do like some subtle touches, like these little pillows
look really cute on the front porch or on the little table as you walk in my
home, on the couch, in a recliner, so I did love those little pillows. And right
before I left y'all, I went down an aisle that I was not gonna go down. I was
really running out of time, and gosh, am I so glad I did, because look at all of
the strawberry decor. I loved every bit of it. I thought this soup bowl was so
unique. I've never seen anything like it. It was so pretty. They had a bunch of
strawberry decor just right here bunched together. If they'd have had six of these
little napkin holders, I would have probably brought these home today, but
they only had four. There was just absolutely so much to choose from here
in this little section, and all of it I really wanted to bring home. However, once
I saw this one item, I was giggly. This cast-iron strawberry scale. Oh my gosh,
y'all, I think I might have just said, wow, as soon as I saw it. I picked this
little sucker up so quickly and ran right to the checkout counter. I was so,
so happy to get this scale. Be sure to stay to the end of the video so that you
can see where I put this beautiful strawberry scale in the kitchen. Okay,
friends, it's day two of me thrift shopping on my lunch hour. Today, we're
going into another one of my favorite local stores, and that is Heritage
Antiques. So, let's go in and see what we can find. We are about to have our house
painted and our back deck stained, so hopefully I'll be able to film a back
porch summer makeover really soon. So, I wanted to see what they had outside
before we moved inside. Just anything that might spruce up the back porch. I
loved this rocking chair so much. If you remember, Maisie Grace also had a
couple of pieces of this strawberry shortcake. This is called Chana. I
love this so much. This pattern is absolutely adorable. I would love it if I
had, like, some more glass cabinets in my kitchen to display more of this great
stuff like this. I just don't have the room for it, but oh my gosh, I loved every
piece in this collection. Okay, now we're gonna head upstairs and look around
upstairs. My friend Glenna has a booth on the second floor, and I'll show you
around her booth in just a second, but this place is so unique. It's so big.
Every time I come here, I always see different things, and they're always
moving things around, and I love that about this place. These green canisters
right here are probably something that, if they're there, the next time I go back
to Heritage Antiques, I will most likely pick them up. I love a great canister,
especially when they look vintage and a little old, and these green canisters
would look so, so good in my kitchen. Okay, so now we're gonna have a look around
Glenna's booth. The one thing about living in a small town, you pretty much
know everybody, and so I love it when I can go in a friend's booth and film for
them and give them a little bit of PR on Facebook or YouTube, and Glenna is
such a sweet friend, and she always has great little items to choose from. So
let's look around her booth real quickly, and then we're gonna head home, do a
little haul, and I'll show you what things I brought home with me today. Okay,
so let's do a quick haul. As you saw in the footage, I did two different days of
thrifting, and sometimes you can go in, or I can. I can go in and find nothing.
Sometimes I can go in and find everything, so the thrill of the hunt is
so fun, and of course I was looking for maybe some strawberry pieces to go in
the kitchen and a couple more blue and white pieces to add to my little
cottage Nancy Meyer living room that I'm about to decorate for you guys, and
normally I do a lot of my thrifting on my lunch hours. We have several little
places in our hometown you can just run into at lunch, and that's just my
favorite thing to do on my lunch hour. It's very therapeutic to me. Again, even
if I buy nothing, I just love to walk down the aisles, look at everything. It's
so, so fun, so I did find a few things. Let's start with heritage antiques that
I went to today. All that I found there was this adorable little ceramic kitty
cat. Oh my goodness! If you're new today, I've become a cat mama. About a year ago,
we had a little mama cat show up with some babies, and I think we've got like...
Sorry guys, I had to stop for a second. Derek got home from work, but again, I was
saying we became cat parents about a year ago, and this little
adorable little blue and white cat is so cute. I thought the grandkids would enjoy
this, and so when I saw her, I thought, you know what? She was really good on
the coffee table, so I'm hoping to style her there. So, so cute. This is really the
only blue and white item I found to go in the living room, so make sure you're
subscribed so you won't miss out on my living room decorating video. And then
over at Amazing Grace, the first time I went on my lunch hour, I found a jackpot
item. Just a treasure, treasure, treasure that I am so thrilled. If you already
follow me over on Instagram, you've already seen this, but if you don't, go
over and follow me on Instagram. It's the same as my YouTube. It's Robin Lane Lowe.
I'd love for us to follow each other over there. I put a lot more of my
everyday, you know, the grandkids and Derek and all that, our everyday living
over on Instagram. So, but let me show you a treasure. Well, first, let me just start
with a little book I found first. Just a little thrifted book that I thought
would look really good on the coffee table. It's so, so pretty. This little, I
don't know what that little flower is called, but it's very pretty. I thought it
was a great little coffee table book, and I got it for like $6. Really pretty
insides of just different flowers and the meaning of them. Look how pretty that
is. I just love a good thrifted book. Okay, so what I really wanted to show you
guys was this beautiful cast iron strawberry scale. Oh my goodness, how
gorgeous is she? I'll do some footage, but hopefully I want to style this on my
hutch for summertime. So gorgeous. Can't even see the details, but isn't she a
beauty? Again, cast iron. Here's the back of her. It's funny. In my footage, I was
just about to leave, and there was one more aisle I needed to go down, and I
didn't even get halfway down that aisle, and I'm like, wait a minute, and saw her
and knew I had to have her. So I was just a giddy walking up to the register to
check out. All the ladies there were like, where did that come from? So she is just
beautiful. So she'll be going, I think, on my kitchen hutch, but I'd love to
probably just really love to have her year-round. So I may style her on my
hutch during the summertime, and then, you know, when it gets closer to the
holidays, I might like put her up maybe on top of my kitchen cabinets. But right
now, the plans are to style her on my kitchen hutch. She is just a beauty. I am
just thrilled to find her. Okay guys, that's all I'm gonna have for you in
this Thrift and Decorate with me. Again, I'll insert some pictures here of how I
decorated with the cat, with the book, and with a little scale. When I went to
decorate with this strawberry scale, there was so many places in my
kitchen that it could go in. My open shelves, this hutch, the countertop. So I
ended up placing it on the kitchen hutch, decorating it there, and then over in the
coffee area, by the stove, in this little corner. I also used it here, and it is so
hard for me to determine which area I like best. So here's me using the scale
in two different places. Let me know in the comment section which area you liked
best. As of today, when I'm doing this voiceover, it's still here over in this
corner. I'm really loving it here. And then we'll head into the living room, and
I'll show you where I put my new thrifted vase with my new florals from
Hobby Lobby, that sweet little kitty cat, that thrifted book, and then I picked up
this gorgeous little magnifying glass with a little rabbit on it from my website.
Home Decor Funds is where I got it from, and I think the coffee table looks
really good. If you're new today, please be sure to introduce yourself to us in
the comment section, maybe your name, where you're from. Thanks again for
hanging out with me, friends, and I'll see you guys in the next one. Bye, friends.
