Donnie. Yeah. What is the truck doing? It's skipping like crazy. Look, the engine light's flashing.
What'd you do? I don't know. Did you hit the wrong thing with your foot or something? I don't know,
but this thing's only got six cylinders and it don't like it when it's missing one.
Well, what are you gonna do about it? Well, I guess we'll go ahead and see if we can fix it.
All right. Well, how are you gonna do that? Well, I put a Scantron tool on it a little bit
and it told me 304. 304. All right. 304. Okay. So, then you do a little Google search to find
out what 304 is. I didn't have to do a Google search because all 300s are misfire codes.
Misfires. It's definitely misfiring. So, if it's a 301, it would be the first cylinder. 302,
second cylinder. 303, so on and so forth, up until eight, obviously. Yes. 300 is random
misfire code, but this one's got 304. So, the number four cylinder is either it needs a spark
plug or it needs a coil, ignition coil, or I've lost a valve, one or the other. So, I don't think
I've lost a valve because- That would be bad. I ain't got no oil or smoke or nothing coming out
of the back of it. But these things are, these motors have lifters that you can turn on and off,
on and off, on and off. And if that lifter collapsed, it would do the same thing. So,
we might be taking the intake off or we might be just changing out a coil. I don't know yet,
but you'll figure it out when I figure it out. All right. Donnie, you didn't even check to see
if that's the problem yet. You ain't got parts. You ain't got nowhere to check.
I used to buy this stuff all the time and I'm pretty sure it was $399 when I used to buy it.
I'm almost positive it was $399. That is nuts. Time flies.
Ronnie. Yes. You jumped the gun, buddy. I did. The spark plug wire, see right there?
See how they're way down? Yes. See the line there? Yeah. The spark plug wire was loose.
Ain't that a shame. That was number four. It was all the way off. My tears felt like rain.
You think something hit it or it just worked its way off? I think it just worked its way off. See
how that was still all the way up on them? Well, that's what I would have checked first because
on my old truck, I always check the spark plugs. I mean the wires. A lot of times on them older
trucks, I'm talking about like I've got an 83, 350. On them older spark plugs, they'll be on
there, but they're not snapped on there. If you push on them, they'll go snap. This thing locks
on there and it was covering everything up. You couldn't tell. There it is. We're out working in
our secret location here, folks. There's a dog in the background. He's very happy to see us.
Donnie's working on the side of the road. There's construction work going on behind us.
We're working on a new mobile home. A lot of people don't realize that we have started on a
new one. We've got two or three projects that we're recording at the moment. We just haven't
uploaded the videos. We don't like uploading videos before we get everything done. That way,
we know that it's all finished. Need me a five-gallon bucket to stand on. There's a cinder
block right over there on the front of the house. And the next trick is we've been driving this
thing for the last hour. Yeah. So she is hot. Hot, hot, hot. Plugs are still on it. Why do they have those
shields over the exhaust manifold? Or is that the exhaust manifold? That's the intake manifold.
I mean the valve cover gasket. Valve cover. Why do they have a plastic shield over it?
Make it look cool. Really? Yeah. Make it look like you can't fix it. Yeah. Make it harder to fix.
So you think it was a loose spark plug wire? I started it up. It's not missing. All right. Well,
we got to show the people so that they know. What are you going to do with all that stuff you bought?
Put it in shop. Keep it for next time. They're all entertained. I fixed it. Your light's not
going to go out for a while though, right? Yeah. There's a little bit of a little rattle.
Maybe it's getting itself figured out. It's fixed. That gear stopped moving. Yeah, it was crazy.
Well, I think you might've fixed it, Donnie. That's an easy one. All right. So what is your
advice to people? If your truck starts running crazy. See, that's the other thing too. What's
that? There's a, there's a law. It's not a, there's a rule. Somebody leave down in the comment below.
Okay. What is the law? The rule that if he wouldn't have bought the parts, it would have
been the parts. And since he bought the parts, it's not the parts. Okay. I actually looked it
up later. Um, uh, it's a corollary of Murphy's law. So Murphy's law is if it can go wrong, it
will, but that's not really what we're talking about because since he bought the parts to like
spark plug and, and stuff, the thing actually works because that would be, you know, it made
it where the stuff's useless. If he wouldn't have bought the spark plug, he would have needed
the spark plug. So, um, the umbrella rule is the closest thing I can find to it. If you carry an
umbrella, it won't rain, leave it at home. And a sudden downpour is guaranteed. This corollary of
Murphy's law is frustrated commuters for generations. And then there's also the checkout line,
whichever line you choose at the grocery store will be the slowest. The moment you switch to
another line, your original line starts moving faster. So it's basically Murphy's law. If it can
go wrong, it will. So it's some version of that since he stopped and bought the parts that ensured
basically that it would be an easy fix. Then he wouldn't need the parts. If we would have not
bought the parts, we would have needed parts. But I got good cheap insurance. Yeah. So we'll, uh,
we'll have it for next time. Um, and I don't plan on getting rid of it anytime soon. So,
yeah. And we've got other trucks that that same, those same parts would fit in. So
yo give us a thumbs up film, subscribe to the channel if you hadn't already and we'll catch
you on the next. All right, folks. And stay tuned. We, like I said, we're working on a mobile home.
As we speak, we will have many videos for it in the future. We've also got a couple other projects.
Look at somebody with a boat. We've got, I also got a couple other projects that we've been
filming and working on. Um, we just, we like to get the whole project done. Um, before we
start uploading the videos because it just makes them easier to edit that, you know,
it tells a better story actually. Yeah. And you don't have no law. Yeah. I don't like where you
got to wait to see what happened and all of that. If like, if we show you the living room and it's
all beat up, it's kind of cool by the end of the video to show you the living room when it's
finished. And so we kind of have to have everything done before we can do the videos that way. Yeah.
Tomorrow I might have to go to New York for a week. Yeah. You know, I've got to have that
buffer. We like being way ahead on the videos, but we'll have your new videos. But we'll have
you some new ones. Just stick with us and we'll show you some stuff. All right, folks.
We'll see you on the next one. It's about the storm.
