Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce donate millions to New York charities

It's the gift that keeps on giving. Ever since Taylor and Travis donated millions to New York charities, Swifties have been stepping up as well. Dave Carlin reports now on the generosity that is inspiring others. Taylor, Swift and Travis Kelsey individually and together give personal time and money to people in need. The couple recently announcing a donation package of 26 million for various food banks, animal welfare groups, children's hospitals, arts and music education, and after-school programs. We thought it was a scam because it's not every day you get a call where someone says, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey really appreciate the work that New York Cares does. We started doing the due diligence to make sure it was real. And it is. And it is real. It's incredible. New York Cares mobilizes tens of thousands of New Yorkers to volunteer. You can choose the cause and be the effect. And what better fandom to have on your side than the Swifties. And now that the word is out, Swifties are definitely donating. Over 731 folks have donated to New York Cares. They're in honor of Taylor and Travis. My favorite was this fan gave $1,387. So Taylor's favorite number and Kelsey's jersey. We all have people who we admire in our lives. You know, maybe it's a parent, maybe it's a musician or an athlete. And sometimes they show us a path and they inspire us. We learned the undisclosed amount of money for New York Cares can be used however the group wants.
