Alligator and emu among neglected animals found following Maryland assault

A Maryland landlord, Sir Leander Evans Gamble, has been arrested after allegedly assaulting three tenants—including a pregnant woman—and threatening them with a firearm. During a subsequent police search of his property, authorities discovered several neglected exotic and domestic animals.
