Install a Simple AI App on Your PC — Can It Make $1/Day? (I Tested It)

Mining Malcolm here today. I had a stretch for that one, but my middle name is Malcolm, so we're going with it. Mining Malcolm. Question for you. Do you have a computer and the willingness to install one app? If so, you can start making passive income by turning your computer into a crypto miner. And I'm going to walk you through this. It's so easy. I might make a video of my parents doing this. Not that they're technologically inept, but this is pretty easy to set up. If you can install zoom, you can get your computer mining some crypto and I will walk you through this step-by-step. So first off for non crypto people. So what is the blockchain? You might've heard of the blockchain, but you can think of it as just a notebook. It's a, it's a ledger and just different transactions are written on this notebook. And what's unique about the blockchain is it's immutable, which means it can never be changed. So it's a notebook where you write in it with permanent marker. And then that notebook is shared with people. And that's what the blockchain is. Now, when we talk about crypto mining, you can think of a miner as like, they're the ones that monitor the notebook to make sure that no one has changed it. So you have different machines that are just verifying that what is on the notebook, what's on the blockchain matches up with what is on everyone else's blockchain, everyone else's notebook. And where money comes in is that if you give your resources, you give your computer, you give your processing power towards verifying these transactions on the blockchain, you get money. They reward you for doing that. You're doing a job. They pay you, they reward you for that. So for most mining, you have to buy a specific, a special machine that verifies those transactions very quickly and you get paid for that. But what I want to show you today is Fry Networks has a miner you can install on your computer. So if you just have an unused computer, it can just stay on and the processing power of that computer will help maintain the blockchain and you'll make money from it. So you can turn your computer into a passive income generator. So basically your PC does some chores and it gets a reward. So basically all you need is a computer and if you've installed an app like zoom or something like that, that's all the technical knowledge that you need. They make it pretty easy. So I'm going to walk you through this. It's called the AI edge agent. Now you can, this is a Mac that I'm running on right now. You can do it on Mac. Um, it's meant for PC. So if you have a Mac, you have to go through some extra steps to, you know, get a virtual machine or dual boot into windows. Um, I actually have a windows computer downstairs. I actually use it for my golf simulator. That's another video for another time, but I'll show you on that computer how to get this set up. Okay. If I was a good YouTuber, I would screen share on my other PC, but I'm what they call a lazy YouTuber. And so I'm going to just record my screen. First off, you're going to see my golf simulator room. See there's where the magic happens unfinished room in our basement. I have my PC set up here and then here's my screen where I'm going to be installing this. So let me just walk you through this process a little bit. I think it's pretty easy. All right. So first off, I'm just on fries network and I went to the AI edge agent download. I downloaded it. It popped up up here. Um, when you open it, it's from, you know, windows doesn't recognize this. Let me zoom in here. This is so ghetto. Um, but then you, so I just go to run anyway and it starts an installation process fry AI edge minor installer. My, my arms kind of getting tired holding this. Okay. So I took about 30 seconds, got it installed and then enter your minor key. So you enter your minor key that we got before, then you hit finish. And then there's this Olo step browser. So basically what happens is this runs in the background on your computer. And it does the mining while you're going. And if you want it to always mind, you just enable this auto start. So it'll start what, when your computer does. All right. You might notice different clothes and you know, hair's grown out a little bit. Uh, this is several days after my last video. Actually I went on a trip. I had some other stuff I had to record, but I'm finishing this up now. So we got the minor set up downstairs. You got to see my golf simulator. Congratulations. Come on over. Can use it. Now we're back on my Mac and pretty simple to get going here. You go to the dashboard and you connect on Algorand wallet. Again, I'm using that D fly wallet, which is working really well. It connects with your phone. It's really nice, really handy. You enter your email, your first name, last name, and that wallet. You enter your minor key, which I'll show you. I can get your minor key later. I'm setting nickname. I made mine golf simulator because that's what it's running on. Then it's going to have you pick your location. And so I'm, you know, right here. I maybe actually should, I just put in my address and this is where it put me. All right. You might notice I changed outfits. My hair grew a little bit. This is several days after the last part of this video. I had some other videos I had to finish up, but finishing up here, setting up this minor. The next thing we need to do is stake $50 in F node to complete device registration. So I'm using tiny man to get this F node. This is fries token. One of their, one of their tokens. You can swap for it on tiny man using algo. So I have my wallet here with 320 algo in it, and I'm going to swap for F node fry node. And so this tells me when I click register, it tells me I need 219,298 F node. So that's how much I need to swap for. So I need 219,298, which is $50 worth. I might do a little bit extra just because as the price fluctuates, you know, in the next couple of minutes, it might change. So I'm going to swap here. I'm using again, that D fly wallet. So I'm confirming here in my wallet. Okay. Swap success. You've received at 219,450. I'll go very quick. So I'll go back here to refresh this and try again. Now that I have the F node stake registration approve in my wallet. Okay. So 50 USD in F node staked, go ahead and hit finish and I'll go ahead and do 24 hours staking for the verification stake. I get to stick fry 2.0. So I need five 59 of fry. Do I have enough algo for that? I just do. So that's about six bucks. Okay. We'll go ahead and stake this now. Okay. And we are set up. We've got one verified minor and this should be set up and I should start receiving rewards. So I'll do an update video once I start getting some rewards estimated to make about a dollar per day mining crypto. So that is pretty cool. Now, if you are wanting to get involved for yourself, there's a few options. So you can get one of their devices. So this is a $269 device that can use the AI edge agent minor on it. So, you know, you may, you pay two 70, you make a dollar a day pays for itself in, you know, 270 days. And I would say that's probably about what you're looking for in a minor is it pays itself off in about nine months.
