This year I took my campervan to Silverstone for the Formula 1 weekend and spent several days living in the van while enjoying one of the biggest sporting events in the UK.
In this vlog I show you what it's really like camping at Silverstone, including the campsite, cooking in the van, day-to-day life, the atmosphere around the circuit, and the reality of combining vanlife with a busy event.
Whether you're thinking about camping at Silverstone, travelling in a campervan, or simply enjoy vanlife adventures, I hope this gives you a realistic look at the experience.

🚐 ABOUT ME Hi, I'm Sara. I lived in a van full time for 2 years while my house was being renovated, and the experience completely changed how I view freedom, money, and simple living. Now that the renovations are finished, I'm back in the house paying off renovation debt, keeping costs as low as possible, and working hard to build online income through YouTube and other projects. My goal is simple: create a sustainable income that allows me to spend extended periods on the road again and eventually make vanlife a permanent part of my future. On this channel, I share the honest reality of vanlife, budgeting, debt payoff, simple living, travel, and my journey back towards financial freedom and life on the road.

A vlog-style account of a trip to the Silverstone circuit. The speaker documents the experience of camping, the excitement of seeing F1 drivers like Max Verstappen, and the physical exhaustion resulting from the intense weekend of racing and walking.
We're going to Selveston; I'm looking forward to it.
This is my first time trying this tent.
I feel I've received it, I've been written about, and I've sent it forward in the garden in an attempt, and I hope that this is brilliant.
It's impossible, absolutely impossible, no matter what.
That's how long it takes them to set up the tent.
I'm important, because last year we've been going forward, forward into the circuit.
We've spent just a few minutes out of fifty minutes to get out of the facility last year, but it's incredible, look.
I hope that's impossible.
Welcome to Isa Cadwaladr and Max Verstappen!
How are you both feeling?
Yeah, very good. Looking forward to the whole weekend; the weather is nice too, not too hot.
I think this temperature is actually just what you want.
How are you feeling ahead of the spring qualifier, Max?
As you know, I love it, so...
Oh, Max!
How's everyone doing?
I don't think I've shown you quite where we are.
It's Saturday morning, about seven o'clock. I'm utterly exhausted, completely shattered.
I need to get to the circuit, so I have to prepare lunch for us and start on breakfast.
Excited for today, it's going to be a good day.
This move requires a great deal of concentration and trust in one another.
Come on, Lily.
I'd like to take a selfie with all of you, if that's alright.
Hand over me.
Give me the steps. This is a real hoedown at Silverstone.
Nobody else.
Great to be here in Silverstone.
X-mate, X-mate.
I'm really happy to be here.
I have a lot of super fans.
I'm going to keep pushing, raising my game, but I'll be giving it my all, so that's all I can hope for.
Go, go, go.
We go.
Go, go.
Take me home.
To the place I belong.
Let's go.
I'm calling it a weekend at Silverstone.
Oh my goodness, what an absolutely amazing weekend.
Heading back to the van now.
My feet are so sore.
Stephen has walked ahead of me to return to the van because I'm moving too slowly.
I'm always too slow, and my feet are covered in blisters.
My calves are sore.
I've walked at least 30,000 steps each day.
It's hard work.
It's a Silverstone weekend, but wow.
What a weekend.
It didn't quite end the way we would have liked it.
It finished under a safety car.
If you're an F1 fan, you're full of crap.
You'll know.
It shouldn't have done it.
It came up on the screen saying the safety car is ending.
We were going to get one last lap, but we didn't.
But never mind.
It's been such an awesome weekend.
It's just so exhausting and so wearying.
There's so much walking and so much going on at the circuit.
It's just a very, very intense weekend.
England are playing in about three or four hours.
I'm not sure how I'm going to watch that.
I'll find a way.
Then I have to drive home tomorrow.
Oh, yeah.
Silverstone.
It's been awesome.
Yeah, again.
Good morning.
It's half past seven.
People are starting to leave.
It's half past seven.
People are starting to leave.
