AI GeneratedA driver shares the exhilarating experience of driving a historic GT40. After ticking off a major bucket list item, they describe the indescribable sensory overload—the vibrations, noise, and the irresistible urge to push the engine's RPM—highlighting the car's unique place in New Zealand and automotive history.
You've just arrived in the top paddock and I've noticed your hands shaking a little bit after
driving this GT40 up. Yeah no that's still that's still shaking so very very special obviously a
lot of New Zealand history in this car and I got to drive something similar I got to drive the road
going GT40 last year and the whole time all I could think about was this this car so
yeah I didn't know I was gonna I didn't expect to come here and drive it it was
I saw it today and I asked I said can I please that'd be really really special and
and the owner was kind enough to let me drive it so very very special. Bucket list item
ticked off? 100% that's why everyone's out of their cars and I'm still sitting in here so
I'm probably going to stay in here for a little bit. It took them a few years to get these GT40s
to work but you even on a little dusty hill climb in West Sussex you must get an idea of
why these work so well. Yeah it's I mean the feeling you get when driving a car like this
is completely it's indescribable it's not like anything that we drive currently the
vibrations sort of the frequency the noise I was given like an RPM limit you know not to go over
but you just you can't help yourself I didn't go over it too much you just can't help yourself
when it when it starts coming up in the RPM and the car just starts singing and it's incredible
so yeah it was very very enjoyable for me. We'll leave you in peace, enjoy.
