USA vs Brazil Highlights Week 3 Women s VNL 2026

It's Brazil in blue serving, the USA in red receiving. It is the final day of the ACN Volleyball Nations League here in Osaka, Japan. An opportunity for the USA to get their side out tonight. When these rallies get longer, Thompson's going to get a lot of ball. That's a great pick up from Bergman. A huge hit, it's another net touch by the USA. And Brazil now leading 5-1. And Eric Sullivan's had enough, he's called timeout. But it's not worked. Brazil were waiting for it. Second serve for Jose Maria. Perfect pass. And USA able to make the side out, getting the one-on-ones they were looking for. But it's not. Watched by Alberto, that was not easy. Work for Skinner to do. Oh yes, done it. She might as well have been on the net with the angle she got with that. What a hit. Creating opportunities for themselves. Both teams halter now with the serve. Could be done with that ball. An opportunity to extend the lead now for the USA. Skinner, what a hit that is. Gianna. Another chance here for the USA. And this time Skinner delivers its set point. Well watched by Alberto, that could so easily have hit the floor. And now it does, but it's out of play. There's no touch in the block, but there will be a challenge. We are going to go beyond regulation then. First to get two clear will take this opening set. Eggleston brings up set point number two for the USA. The Eggleston to serve. It's a fabulous serve that brings the overpass and with it set point. USA take the opener. Huge scrap by the USA. This aggression from the service line. They've been targeting Marseille the entire match long. It's an overpass and that's what they were looking for. Bit of confusion at the net, but even more so on Brazil's side. And those slight hesitations in communication and conversation and commitment to go for a ball. That's cost Brazil. Poulter with the serve for the USA. Early break point opportunity here. Skinner. Yes. No. A look ending challenge coming. It must have been dug, but not the second time. Well played Skinner. For Eggleston, but she passes it well. So well that Poulter can run the middle and O'Neil. She wants to get her feet set and push arms and body back inside. Not much more she could do with that. No catch ball against O'Neil. Chases on. Good save. Free ball now. Oh dear. Concentration on the free ball and it's USA now have a chance. And Thompson takes the point. Thompson to serve. At all for Herberto to go. Well watched Eggleston. Really doing well. Keying in on the front court set up. Bergman. Continuation. Eggleston gets a little bit in front of it. For Bergman to go. Not against Redke. Such a sharp angle on it. Perfect pass. What a block that is. Just staying calm against adversity. That's something they've worked on in the last couple of matches where they've had to go five sets. They want to face adversity. Massive hit for Anna Christina. Anna Christina Bergman. Banks gets to serve again. Great serve. That's staying in play. It was hit onto Herberto. She's below the height of the net. So it didn't count as a block. That's a touch. Skinner. Gets the hands. That is magnificent from the USA. USA. What a block back from Gianna. That is incredible. And much needed. Fantastic. That brings up set point for the USA. Skinner's played so well. Will be Skinner to serve. And that's an unforced error from Anna Christina. Didn't get her feet in the right place. She was under the ball. Brazil serving. The USA leading by two sets to nothing. A net touch against the USA. It was Odboga who touched it. Odboga gets so high. Good serve of the match for her. Massive commit from Gianna to shut down Redke. Really good save from Thompson. Nice cover from Hentz. Here come Brazil. Anna Christina. Too good. She's just forgotten the tactic. Redke. Well played Anna Christina. Just side out points at the moment for Brazil. Touch. Another opportunity here. Thompson a little bit further off the net. Can't get a full swing. And it's Bergman. And Skinner. It's got Scrappy on both sides in a neutral position. Only one attacking option either side. It's Bergman coming up with a Skinner-esque angle. Skinner making Lucia have to play. That might come back. It will come back. And it's good play from Hentz. Hoisted high. USA reset their block defence. Great up from Hentz. Good up from Roberta. Bergman. Will it come back Hentz? No. Just too deep into the crowd. Great pick up. Defence for Brazil has suddenly gone up a gear. And it's paying dividends. They lead by three. So Rogo to serve. Oh yes. What a block from Retke. A monster block from her. A couple of quick plays. Christina. Good act. Brazil have to side this out. They want to stay in the match. And Bergman does it. Brazil haven't. For the USA to win this from passing. Perfect ball in. And that'll do it. Little combo play over the top of Retke. USA take the set. 25-16. They have beaten Brazil by three sets to nothing.
