Video Summary
AI GeneratedA traveler compares two extreme all-inclusive experiences in Cancun, Mexico: the world's smallest resort and the world's largest. While the small resort offers intimacy, luxury, and personalized service, the massive resort provides city-like amenities and endless activities. Ultimately, the traveler finds that extreme scale does not necessarily translate to a superior vacation experience.
The biggest all-inclusive resort in the world has over 3,000 rooms, 30 plus restaurants,
tons of activities, and a massive water park right there on property.
And the wildest part, it's right up the coast from a tiny all-inclusive resort.
That means a guy like me could take a weekend and book a night at both of these places
back to back, all to find out which one is more fun.
Hello my friends from Cancun, Mexico, here at the smallest all-inclusive resort.
I'm currently in the resort lobby waiting to get checked into my room.
See, my plan is to spend 24 hours at the smallest resort and then the biggest resort
and give each one a vacation score.
And so I'm starting here at the smallest.
On my way here, I got picked up by a private shuttle from the airport.
Thank you, what's your name?
Francis.
So I literally got driven here by Jesus.
We drove for a while through the jungle and then finally pulled up to this place.
I was given a wet towel to wipe my hands with.
I also wiped my face with it.
Not sure if that's allowed, but I did it anyway.
Not really used to the whole wet rag thing still.
And then they gave me a delicious fruity drink.
Tasted impeccable, similar to a fresh squeezed lemonade.
That's amazing.
With some fruit balls.
And I have to say, the lobby and view are breathtaking.
I've seen very few other guests.
That's insane.
There's three things this place has that I'm super excited about.
The first is an epic infinity pool.
It's right out here and it looks insane.
The second is a chocolate room, allegedly.
And then the third, my own personal butler.
They said, wait.
Wait for your butler.
Your butler is going to take you to your room.
So that's kind of what I'm doing.
Never waited on a butler before.
But it's also crazy how few people are here.
How is nobody in this pool right now?
My room is ready.
I finally got to meet my butler and her name was...
Gabriela.
Antonio.
Great to meet you.
I was so excited that I just said...
I've never had a butler before.
Oh really?
Yeah.
It feels kind of weird.
She showed me to my room and told me about the all-inclusive food situation.
Order anything I want.
Yes.
Okay, that's awesome.
And at any time too?
Yes.
Wow.
It's kind of big.
Don't worry.
I'll come back and show you guys the room later.
But first, let's clean up and see what this place has to offer.
Now let's go explore this place.
I'm going to start a timer and we're going to see how long it takes us to explore this entire place.
You ready?
Let's go.
Because this place is so small, I think I can explore all of it in just a couple of minutes.
It had a store and a really nice gym that I had to get a little workout in while I was there.
You know what I mean?
Take advantage.
The library.
Whoa, look at this chair.
Free drinks.
This has to be one of the coziest places I've ever been to.
This is crazy.
The wall, just casually too.
Just brand new Macs.
All right, let's get on with the tour.
I'm so used to resorts being jam-packed with all sorts of stuff, but
this is the first floor and there's no one here.
Looks like this is where the beach club area is on level one.
That ledge is the infinity pool that just literally is floating above the beach, which is crazy.
Can't wait to swim in that thing.
It's also amazing how crystal clear this water is.
I feel like most all-inclusive resorts that you go to are absolutely massive and just
packed with people, and so it's super weird to be here and not see anybody.
I feel like I have this whole place to myself.
Oh, no way.
I'm underneath the infinity pool right now.
That's crazy.
That's the bottom of the pool.
Honestly, it kind of stresses me out standing under this right now.
I'm going to move.
Perks at being at such a small resort.
It's not crowded at all and you get an entire beach to yourself.
We're sitting right at about nine and a half minutes it took to speed run this whole place
and see everything it has to offer.
I have a lot more planned for us today, but before we go back to the room and I give you
guys a room tour, I want to hop in this infinity pool because this thing looks crazy.
Here we go.
I swam all the way to the glass window at the very end of the pool.
To be honest, it was kind of mesmerizing just staring down at the ocean.
And at this point, it really started to set in that one of the perks of staying at a place
so tiny is that it's very peaceful.
I'm just thankful no one was secretly filming me while I swam.
This is amazing.
There's a little swim up area with a TV that I think I might just have to order a diet
coke from.
English is my first language, but I did learn Spanish growing up.
I'm half Mexican, in case you couldn't tell.
The older I get, the more I forget of it.
I have this goal of using this trip as an opportunity to brush up on my Spanish and
hopefully become as close to fluent as I can again.
So I'm going to start by going over there and ordering a drink in Espanol.
Let's do it.
The fact that you can swim up to these places is just the coolest thing ever.
It's only up from here.
Time to talk about this room and how absolutely insane it is.
When you walk in, the first thing you notice is how high these ceilings are.
To your left, there is a beautiful, huge bathroom with a cool sink that when you turn
the water on, it makes the water look like it's going down this little water slide.
There's also all sorts of amenities in the bathroom.
Some really cool robes, which I'm excited to try on later.
There is a waterfall shower, ladies and gentlemen.
The bathroom also has these secret doors that open up to where you can see the main room
as well.
If you walk through the shower, it leads to this area with a cool glass chair, a jacuzzi,
my own private pool and hammock.
Then that leads us to the main suite where there is a very large bed, more amenities.
There's a seashell that turns into a light, a table, a nice little living area, this crazy
weird heart with wings, a TV and a snack bar, which had some crazy snacks that I decided
to try.
I'm going to try cactus.
I'm pretty sure this is just a chip.
It's actually fire.
Outside, I have my own private balcony as well.
That's about it.
Besides one last thing, you guys know me.
You know I like to save the best for last.
A nice blue little painting here, kind of looks like water.
One second.
Those are jellyfish, guys.
Real life jellyfish.
Are you kidding me?
They look so cute.
As much as I'd love to hang out and chat with these guys, I actually have myself a evening
dinner reservation at the beach that I got to get ready for.
See you at dinner.
I'm excited.
Well, this is crazy.
This is probably the most atmospheric dinner that I've ever been to.
My toes are in the sand right now.
There's orb lights and flames and sunsets and infinity pools.
This all-inclusive resort has premium dishes like lobster and steak.
It may be small, but it ain't cheap.
I'm gonna order in just Spanish.
Okay.
How am I doing?
Good?
Already, I was feeling my Spanish start to come back to me, which was pretty exciting
because it had only been a day.
And despite this resort being tiny, it sure was a vibe, my friends.
It is pretty cool as well that I can just order as much food as I want at any time that I want.
You know that one friend that has all the good snacks in their pantry?
I was not that friend.
And so stuff like this is really fun for me.
Interesting.
Thank you so much.
Dinner was pretty fire, ladies and gentlemen.
This vacation score might be a little bit crazy.
So far, this is insane.
There's one place I want to stop at on the way back to my room.
It's the chocolate room.
That's right, ladies and gentlemen.
An entire room solely dedicated to chocolate.
Oh, it's a new chocolate room.
Look at all this chocolate.
What?
Chocolate!
I was then introduced to a ton of different chocolates that I've never tried before.
So I grabbed a little bag and started filling it up with all different kinds to take back to my room.
Bag secured.
Boo-boo, loo-boo.
Looks like marshmallow and jelly.
A lot of taste going on here.
This is supposed to be like a churro.
Whoa.
I don't really know what it is.
You guys can inform me down in the comments.
Bro, look at the middle of that.
It's crazy.
Whoa!
Today has been fun, but I have a big day planned for tomorrow as well, including the shift.
Where we'll go from the smallest resort to the largest.
And it is crazy to think about how the resort we're going to after this is literally
almost a hundred times bigger than this.
It's crazy.
I think it's thousands of rooms versus like 50.
I can't even wrap my mind around that.
So I'm going to get ready for bed so I can get a good night's sleep.
So the shower is awesome, but there is one button that is very dangerous,
which is this right here.
Because if you click it...
I feel like I'm in a rainstorm right now.
Peak shower experience.

and let's get back to the resort.
I feel so fresh and so clean.
And you want to know the coolest part of this outfit?
That's a sound effect that just played in my mind,
and I guess now is playing in your mind whenever I put this hood on.
I feel like a Jedi right now.
You may or may not remember that along with this room,
we have a personal butler friend that is assigned to take care of us.
And this is a small resort.
And so with those two things being true,
I want to time how long it takes for a good night snack to arrive.
I'm going to call the butler.
The only rule, I have to do it in Spanish.
Dialing the number now.
Uh,
Now time to shut down this room before it gets here.
Oh, secret box.
Okay, I'll see you in the secret box.
Okay, the whole secret box thing
and the fact that the staff also calls it that is so cool.
It only took seven minutes.
Let's have some cereal in bed, shall we?
I low-key feel like eating dark chocolate cereal on a white bed.
It's a little bit dangerous, but you know what?
We like to live on the edge around here.
Today truly has been a day I'll never forget.
Who knew the smallest all-inclusive resort
could be so jam-packed with crazy awesome things?
And my Spanish is improving one sentence at a time
and we still have more to do while we're here.
So ladies and gentlemen, I will see you in the morning.
Good morning, everybody.
This is beautiful.
Before I shift to the largest resort,
I have to make the most out of this pool and hot tub situation.
Just chilling in a big rock.
I think I'm just a little bit too heavy to where my butt hits the water.
Before heading out today,
I had to make my way over to the all-inclusive breakfast
and they had a bunch of FIFA pastry items, which were great.
And then I practiced my Spanish with this guy on the harp.
All right, ladies and gentlemen.
Well, our time here at the smallest all-inclusive resort
has come to an end.
But before the shift happens and we jump to the biggest one,
we have to give this place a vacation score.
And based on all of our criteria,
I've decided to give this place a vacation score of 8.7 out of 10.
I know, it's pretty high, but I had an amazing time here.
And now it's time for the shift.
Whoa.
This place is absolutely crazy.
I'm honestly overwhelmed.
This place is literally like a city
and it has everything you can think of from bowling alleys to arcades to restaurants,
tennis courts, basketball courts.
Some of the things I'm super excited about are the water park,
24-hour water park,
and outside of all the free food,
there's also a hidden restaurant behind like some bookshelf
that I want to try to find as well while I'm here.
I think it's going to be virtually impossible to explore this whole place in 24 hours,
but I'm going to do my best and the time is ticking.
So let's get started by finding my room.
Okay, we've already been driving for like five minutes
and I'm still not even to my room.
There's no way I'm going to be able to walk this whole thing.
Hey guys, if we could all just unanimously agree in the comments
to not talk about this pimple on my nose that decided to show up the day of filming,
that would be awesome.
Question, how big is this place?
A huge, a huge.
Okay, how long will it take to walk around the whole resort?
It's for walk?
Yeah.
Almost one hour.
Really?
Yeah.
Oh man.
Okay, well thank you.
That golf cart ride was like 10 minutes just to get to my room
and it really shows the scale of how massive this place is.
I don't know how I'm going to explore it all.
Here's my room.
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the room tour of the earth planet world's
largest absolute mega giga all-inclusive resort.
Let me explain.
You walk into a main entrance room with two doors leading to two different rooms.
The first one is a guest room with a coffee area and some snacks and not one but two beds.
There was a huge bathtub inside that bedroom too, which is kind of crazy.
This room also has its own private outdoor seating area with a comfortable little hammock.
I realize I'm spoiled because I was a little bit disappointed that
there wasn't a nice freshwater pool underneath the hammock.
The other door leads to the main living area.
In here, there's a tv, a desk, a dining area,
a kitchen with a fridge with the world's best drink inside just waiting to be consumed.
Incredible.
And attached to this living room is the main bedroom that has its own
bathtub and a very nice bathroom as well.
My honest first impressions are that this place is huge.
This is like one of the largest hotel resort rooms I've ever stayed in in my life,
but I can also already tell that it's very different than the smallest.
It doesn't feel quite as nice as the other place despite it being a lot bigger,
but we do have to talk about something kind of serious.
I need to find like a serious place to sit.
This feels like it'll get the job done.
One second.
You know what this spells?
It spells problem.
Oh, that's problem in English.
That's problem in Spanish.
Ladies and gentlemen, the problem is that the last place only took us about nine minutes
to completely cover and explore the entire place.
Unfortunately, that's going to be absolutely impossible when it comes to this place,
but not to worry because I have a plan.
That's plan in English.
Also plan in Spanish.
Come here and let me explain.
See, the real problem isn't that I can't do this.
It's just that I can't do it alone.
So my plan is simple.
Text some of my friends and see if by a miracle,
they can somehow hop on a flight to Mexico and get here before it gets too dark
so that they can help me explore this entire place.
Sounds simple, really.
All right.
Just fired off the text.
Hopefully, they should...
No way.
That was so fast.
How did you get here so fast?
Teleport.
All right, well, come on in.
What are you waiting for?
Okay.
This resort is absolutely massive.
My plan, if you guys are willing to accept it,
is send you guys out to explore as much of this resort as you possibly can.
But there's a catch.
Whichever one of you explores the most gets to sleep in the nicest bedroom tonight.
For every activity you do, that is one point.
Now, hidden somewhere in this resort is a legit secret restaurant.
And if you find that secret restaurant, that's an extra five bonus points.
I'm going to give you guys a head start,
but I'm going to come out and try to find you while you're exploring.
And if I find you, that's minus five points.
And remember, the winner gets to sleep in the nicest room.
Let me go show you guys the room.
How about this spot?
All right, boys, you know the rules.
The moment I open this door,
each of you have 90 minutes to explore as much of this resort as you possibly can.
Everybody got your timers out?
Ladies and gentlemen, let's explore this resort.
Three, two, one, go.
Love you guys.
They grow up so fast.
I should probably go find them, but I got an hour and a half.
That's a lot of time.
I'm kind of tired, so I'll find them in a little bit.
I have to win.
I'm getting that king-size bed.
You're going down, dude.
This guy's going down.
I think at this pace, I'm going to win this challenge.
Thank you.
Ice cream?
Took my first dip, a drink, this Diet Coke they brought me.
And then I think I'm going to head to the next thing so I can catch that dove.
All right, guys, I think I found something.
Found the speakeasy.
Easy five points.
Got myself a Diet Coke.
Walked through a secret door.
That's a point.
We worked up a sweat.
Let's take a dump.
This place is so massive.
I might have to start running, but we got about 10 minutes left.
I think it takes me about 10 minutes to get there.
So I need to get back in 10 minutes.
So I'm trusting you with the eight minute.
Time to try to go find some of the boys.
I'm up here on this, like, taller platform.
And I'm looking out to try to see if I can see any of the boys.
And I've been so unlucky.
I cannot see any of them.
I only have five minutes and 45 seconds left.
We got about five minutes left.
We got to hurry back because we are far away.
Guys, it's Huddy.
We have two minutes before we need to be back to the room.
Huddy's running straight to the wedding.
All right, boys.
I want you guys to say how many points you got from the activities that you hit.
Hudson, you'll go first.
I probably did four solid activities.
So six points.
Six points.
Oh, that doesn't make sense.
It's one point for activity.
Yeah, but this is my cool activities.
Rhys, you're next.
I got 11 points.
Calvin, 12.
Give it up for Calvin.
That means you get to sleep in the nicest room at this place.
All right, boys.
Anybody hungry?
So hungry.
Let's do it.
It's dinner time.
Okay, let's go, let's go, let's go.
Can I sit here?
Okay, okay.
You guys thought I forgot about my Spanish mission, but I didn't.
And it's getting better.
And I really needed to be above like 80% to do what I'm wanting to do with it.
Wow, look how beautiful it is.
This was actually the 4th of July weekend.
And they were having this huge outdoor buffet to celebrate it.
And it was packed.
Oh my goodness.
Look at this.
Oh my god.
Found it.
Good old-fashioned ribs.
Now this is the largest all-inclusive resort in the world.
We packed our plates with all sorts of food.
And I can say we were really taking advantage of the all-inclusive nature of this place.
And I don't know what it was.
But as soon as that food hit my system, I started acting different.
Like when have you guys ever seen me do this?
After this, we stopped by the secret speakeasy.
I completely forgot to film in there.
But you saw it earlier.
Then we walked around some more and Hudson got some coffee.
Bro, it's 9.30 p.m.
That's right.
It's 9.30 p.m.
Gotta stay hydrated.
And then on our bus ride back to our room, we met some friends from the UK.
All right, boys.
Lads, lads.
Okay, lads.
First of all, who's going to win the World Cup?
England.
Not Mexico?
No chance.
Did you know that this is the largest all-inclusive resort in the world that we're staying at?
I do now, yeah.
So you didn't know before?
Nah.
I'm only here for 24 hours.
What is one activity I need to try before I leave?
Surfrider in the sunrise.
What is one message you want to leave to the people?
Support England for a happy life.
It's coming home.
Warden, till I die.
One more time for the lads.
Smash the subscribe button or else.
That's called that.
Just like that, after we get to our section of the resort,
we gotta hop back on the golf cart and drive all the way to our room.
And we couldn't end the night without testing out that 24-hour room service.
Good night, everybody.
Everyone, out.
Out.
This is my room.
Can we just stay one night?
Night, Calvin.
Enjoy the big room.
Wow.
What a beautiful morning.
I got a big day planned.
I've yet to hit the water park and try to explore some more of this place.
But first, let's go hit up one of the mini breakfast buffets.
All right, guys.
I got my ice latte.
I got my croissant.
Going to come in here to one of the mini buffets.
We're going to have some breakfast.
This place looks really nice.
Let's go do it.
All right, guys.
We've just sat down and look how vast this place is.
It's absolutely beautiful.
Are you kidding me?
Let's go get some food.
I slammed a very nutritious breakfast.
And boy, did I need it because next up was the water park.
That's where the water park is.
All the way down there.
That's where we're trying to get to right now.
This water slide right here is victim number one.
Or I potentially may be victim number one.
I wanted to make sure before I left to take my boy's advice from last night
and ride the surf rider.
Surf rider in the sunrise.
Only you need to sign a waiver here that if you die, it's your fault.
The more people I watch do this,
the more nervous I get about doing it myself.
I think I'm next.
After finally mastering that skill,
I decided it was time to end our time at the water park
and therefore end our time at the world's largest resort.
But not before giving this place a vacation score,
of which I'd have to give it a 6.7.
I guess bigger isn't always better.
You guys may have been wondering why I really wanted to brush up on my Spanish
this whole last weekend,
and I'm back home now.
I'll show you why I wanted to make sure that I was fresh.
Morning.
Before I go, what's one piece of wisdom that you have?
Well, I love you, Papa.
You think I look better without a beard?
If you enjoyed our time together, I have one question for you.
Why does it have to be over?
Watch another one.
I've made like 40 or 50 of these or something.
Love you guys.
