World Cup fans brave the heat at Philly's Fan Fest

Let's turn to Greg right now. The heat has not stopped soccer fans from enjoying the matches at Fanfest in Lemon Hill all of these weeks, and even today in the 90s, Greg. Yeah, I mean, when I heard Kathy say it didn't reach 100, I kind of had to do the side eye because it is absolutely hot out here. But as you mentioned, it has not stopped fans from coming on out. And you were saying the match just ended and there's crowds that are making their way. And over here to the right hand side, you could really kind of see the amount of folks that have left this area all coming from that large screen and making their way. And you can see there's a lot of. Argentinian fans are extremely excited, but because of this heat guys, there has been a lot of strategies that fans have taken to make sure that they stay cool. The rivalry on the pitch is historic, but today at Philadelphia FIFA Fan Festival, the real opponent is the elements as Argentina and England clashed in the semifinals of the World Cup. Temperatures are pushing well into the 90s. Nothing too bad for these guys. Still managing to go head to head on the mini field. It's hot out here, but I mean you guys are continuing to play in the heat. How come I just love for the game, right? Love for the game. We love the sport. We love the sport and after the match they were definitely loving the H2O with the heat index climbing. The most popular spot on Lemon Hill isn't right in front of the big screen, but under tents and in Nathan Sharpe's case drinking a cold one. The love in the heart for Argentina is was was keeping me going. So let's keep me going for sure. To survive 90 minutes of soccer, fans are deploying a full tactical playbook. Umbrellas have become temporary shields. The shaded areas are prime real estate. Water ice is key. Hey, just the eyes and eyes. Water ice and hydration stations are seeing nonstop action as fans endlessly refilled their bottles, or in this case, jugs. You're not messing around. You got a big job. No, I'm not. No, it's hot, man. It's hot, hot. It's hot. We're out here though. I'm still here. I'm still here, but you know, it's hot outside. You gotta do what you gotta do. They were like, oh, you gotta pour it out when you come in. I'm like, that's fine. I refill it inside again. You gotta do what you gotta do though. Over at the active cooling zones, industrial sized misters and fans are proving to be the ultimate MVP of the afternoon, giving people a desperately needed second wind. It is a battle of endurance, both on the field and on the hill. But for these diehard soccer fans, a little sweat is a small price to pay to be part of World Cup history. In Philly, it goes back to ancient times, man. You could think about how. How hot it was back there in the in the Roman days and stuff like that. Those people still came out to see the gladiators and that's what we're here to see. We're here to see a gladiator fight. We had to see the entertainment. It's all about the entertainment man. The heat is not going to keep us back man. We had to represent and support our team. And after him talking about gladiators, it almost made you want to run through a brick wall and be like, God actually isn't that hot. But like I mentioned to you, as you can see, the hype Argentinian fans you can see, though they actually turned the misters off because they're trying to make people actually clear this area. But there are some folks that are continuing to remain in the shade there. And then also when I was showing you that water stations, there are some folks that are making sure that they're able to get some water before they head on out of here. But they do clear this area pretty quick, so you know a lot of these folks are going to be on their way out cheaper. Yeah, they're not trying to make things even more comfortable for the people.
