AI GeneratedThis video demonstrates a self-working card trick using eight cards (four Kings and four Jacks). The performer uses a \"Lie Detector\" theme to reveal a spectator's chosen card by identifying its value, color, and suit, regardless of whether the spectator tells the truth or lies.
Hello again everybody.
Today I'm going to show you an amazing self-working card trick that I actually did as a collaboration
with Andy Field Magic about 10 years ago.
He did the performance, I did the tutorial, he since has deleted his performance and my
tutorial is on my other YouTube channel, Card Trick Teacher.
So I thought now would be a good time for me to show a performance and tutorial for
this incredible self-working card trick that only uses 8 cards.
We have the Four Kings and the Four Jacks.
Your job here is to memorize one of these cards.
So since we don't have a spectator, let's say the spectator is memorizing the Jack of
Clubs.
So now we're going to In-Jog and Up-Jog the cards, they're memorizing the Jack of Clubs.
So we're going to ask them, do you see your card in this pile?
They say no.
We'll do it again.
In-Jog, Up-Jog, In-Jog, Up-Jog, In-Jog, Up-Jog, do you see your card in this pile?
That card was the Jack of Clubs.
They say no.
We'll do it one final time and we're going to ask the spectator, do you see your card,
the Jack of Clubs, and they say yes.
So now we're going to deal the cards into two piles and this is going to be a little
game of Lie Detector.
So the cards actually know if you're telling the truth or not.
So you can tell me the truth or you can lie.
Was your card a Jack or was it a King?
And let's say they lie and say it was a King.
We flip over the pile and say, nope, you're lying.
The card was a Jack.
Now we're going to deal these into two piles to determine the color of your card.
Was your card red or was your card black?
Let's say they say their card was red.
Nope, your card was black.
So you're lying.
Your card was a Jack and it was black.
So was your card a Spade or was it a Club?
Let's say they say it was a Spade.
Nope, it was a Club.
Your card was a Jack, it was black, it was a Club and the cards always tell the truth
because your card was the Jack of Clubs.
Okay here's the tutorial for this amazing self-working card trick.
If you follow these instructions it will work all the time.
So you're going to take four Jacks, four Kings or four Kings and four Queens and you're going
to set them up in the same black-red order.
So chased, Clubs, Hearts, Spades, Diamonds, Clubs, Hearts, Spades, Diamonds and you have
the spectator memorize one of the cards.
So let's say they memorize the King of Spades.
What you're going to do is you're going to in-jog the first card, up-jog the second,
in-jog the third, up-jog the fourth and just keep going and then you're going to take the
up-jog cards out.
You're going to do this three times.
The first time the pile with their card goes on the top, the second time the pile with
their card goes on the bottom and the third time the pile with their card goes on the
top.
So let's take a look and see.
King of Spades, do you see your card here?
No?
Well the pile with their card goes on top, that means this pile doesn't have their card
so it goes on the bottom.
We're going to do it again, in-jog, up-jog, in-jog, up-jog, in-jog, up-jog, in-jog, up-jog.
King of Spades, show them this pile, do you see your card?
The answer is yes.
The second time the pile with their card goes on the bottom.
So they see their card so we're going to put the pile on the bottom.
And the third time, in-jog, up-jog, in-jog, up-jog, in-jog, up-jog, in-jog, up-jog, the
pile with their card goes on top.
So we say, do you see your card?
These are Jacks, they say no, so we move it to the bottom.
Now we're going to deal the cards into two piles.
And the very last card you deal out, this is the pile that you're going to flip over
and that's going to be their card on the bottom.
So you're going to say, you could tell me the truth or you could lie, and this works
every time.
Their card was the King of Spades, so if they say Jack or they say King, you could turn
it over and show that their card was in fact the King.
Then you're going to pick these cards up and you're going to deal them from the out to
the middle, from out to the middle.
Now, when you flip this over, it will tell the color of the card.
So you can ask them again, tell me the truth or lie, was your card black or red?
It was the King of Spades, so it was black.
Regardless of what they say, you can show them that the card was black.
Now this card right here, you just push to the side and this will be the suit of their
card.
And you say, what was the suit of your card?
And it doesn't matter what they say, it was a spade, so your card was a King, it was a
black King, it was a King of Spades, and then you turn it over and you reveal that
this is the King of Spades.
Follow these instructions.
This trick always gets incredible reactions.
Let me know what you guys think.
