Let's get more on the severe weather risks now.
Meteorologist Leslie Lopez is here now with what to expect.
Leslie, good morning.
Good morning.
We're just showing you more of what we saw yesterday.
This is over into Queens yesterday.
That severe line of storms moving through, dropping in so much heavy rainfall.
Now that same system is shifting South.
It is getting down into areas of Virginia, all the way into Atlanta,
bringing with it the same type of weather.
We're talking about heavy amounts of rain,
the opportunity for damaging winds, which we did see yesterday as well.
And we're going to continue to see the opportunity for this wet weather,
even stretching all the way down into Hattiesburg.
We're going to call this a two out of five threat level in that yellow.
Again, we could see that heavy rainfall,
even an isolated tornado as a possibility as we're moving forward.
And then we're going to see the opportunity for this rainfall to really just continue to move in
as we're heading into it looks like even by the time we're ending tonight.
So we're going to keep the wet weather going.
