Meaning southeast Louisiana. Yeah, you can't survive that. So it will likely
just be a tropical storm if it manages to survive for another 48 hours or
perhaps more. Nonetheless, as you saw in the pictures, they're coming in from
the panhandle of florida and that's what you get. Even with the tropical
storm, that's just bringing waves of rain that can lead to street flooding.
Keep in mind that their ways, but they're repeated and successive waves
of rain that adds up and that once again causes flooding along the coast.
So it will be the coast of Mississippi and Alabama that will be watching
through tonight into tomorrow morning. And then Louisiana is up for pretty
much the remainder of the day Wednesday as we get into the afternoon period. By
thursday morning, I think there could even be some improvement there. We'll
take a look at the latest advisory and the track will be out in less than 30
minutes time when we join you on Fox five News Edge at 11 hot or not. Well,
I think not. As we get deeper into the week here at home, the scorch will be
repealed as cloud cover and showers break out over the area. And with this
cold front that's coming to visit, it is going to kind of wear out as welcome,
meaning it's going to really kind of block the sunshine that we've enjoyed
over the past couple of days. Yeah, we had a few more clouds today than we
potentially like, but nonetheless, it was offering us some shade. Well, I
guess as we get into the day tomorrow, it's gonna outright just kind of put a
dim or damper on things. As this cold front closes in, it is going to bring
us multiple waves of heavy rain and thunderstorm activity. They got a
sampling of that or maybe their belly full of that from the Midwest through
the Ohio River Valley, up and down the Appalachians into the I-95 corridor
from the northeast all the way up into New England. Today, severe
thunderstorm warnings and tornado warnings left and right. Now, as the
closes in on our neck of the woods, we have a chance to play along, but we're
not bringing in the severe weather outright. I can't rule out a storm or
two. As you look at the numbers tonight, you can see here we're all in the
seventies and eighties area wide. Clouds abide above, and I don't think
the temperature is going to move much as we wake up tomorrow morning. We'll
look for some mid seventies area wide in the mountains will hold you in the
lower seventies. Once again, a fair amount of cloud cover to start the
morning is now 12 noon on Wednesday. If you step out to lunch, maybe just take
your umbrella to ear on the side of caution. I'm not really concerned about
rain breaking out during the early afternoon, but by 34 o'clock, I think
we're getting maybe a spray or two. These cells don't look too strong, but
as we get deeper into the evening, that starts to change. The tenor of the
storms will be a bit more robust as the sun goes down. Now that is against the
trend that we've generally had over the past three or four weeks. The storms
tend to fade and fizzle out as we go to bed. Well, that's not the case. Even
as we go to bed Thursday. Yeah, for some of us, you won't have rain overnight,
but we'll be looking for areas to the north of the metro, mainly in the
mountains for waves of rain to come through even during the overnight hours.
By the time you rise Thursday morning, it looks like the focus of the front is
still over areas north of the metro into the mountains. Same doesn't deal
for Thursday, Thursday afternoon. Okay, the line dress a little bit farther to
the south and to the east, and that's when the metro area and points out to
the east really get involved with multiple ways of rain. And these cells
are gonna come, and I think they're gonna be more linear in nature. So I
don't think they'll be so summertime cellular. But even by six o'clock on
Friday afternoon going into the evening hours, you still have some pretty
strong cells around here. So if they give us what they could potentially
give us, we could get in the way of 1.5 to 2 inches of rainfall. Alive. Look
outside tonight. We're at 83 degrees. He'll drop down to 73 when you rise
tomorrow morning nineties. I can't find him on the forecast until next Monday.
The big story for the remainder of the week or showers and storms that could
lead to flooding in some areas for us.
